    Kingsley also makes exceptional valve pedals, including the Jester which is one of Dan’s all-time favourite overdrives.
    Simon was in the UK on vacation (he now lives in Canada) and dropped in to see us, treating us to some very tasty playing and some insight into the latest additions to the Kingsley pedal range.
    It was an absolute pleasure (not to mention an education) to hang out for a couple of hours!

    Very honoured to have owned a Kingsley Deluxe 32, by FAR the best amplifier I have ever played. Unfortunately I had a lumbar injury and had to sell it to get through college for job retraining. But living in the Lower Mainland of BC, where Mr. Jarret is now living as well, there are Kingsley's that pop up around here now and then- maybe I'll be lucky enough to find another one at some point. And yes- fantastic player.

    My Constable is SN 002. I got it all cleaned up and took pictures to sell as I wasn't using it. Plugged it in to test all was working and stopped dead in my tracks. It is so dynamic and perfect. Couldn't do it. Don't think I can ever sell mine. Esp since Marshall Super Lead is THE tone for me. Nothing does it better than Constable

    Every time I switch on my rig and I like my tone, doesn't matter if to do a gig with some friends or to record something or just to practice or play around something, I can't help but think that the pedals made by this man sound so good simply because he is such a fine guitar player...

  • @Metal_Fishing_420

    I just LOVE how Simon design his pedals! There are so many pedals that do their thing and does not care about cooperating with guitars, amps and other pedals.
    But these really ties sounds together in a completely unique way! They work SO great with different guitars, pedals and amps.
    Simon truly is a genius!

    • @ThatPedalShow
      @ThatPedalShow  7 років тому +6

      +TheGlobuleReturns That's absolutely how it works. It is in the fingers, but the right gear gets the fingers doing the best they can! And fair play to Simon too - our guitars are unfamiliar to him. No problemo!

    • @TheGlobuleReturns
      @TheGlobuleReturns 7 років тому

      That Pedal Show Haha well your inspired playing has in turn inspired me to seriously check out some of these pedals! Why are your guitars unfamiliar? Does he play a different style/type of guitar altogether or just that they aren't his personal guitars? Either way he was awesome here (as was Dan)!

    • @ThatPedalShow
      @ThatPedalShow  7 років тому +1

      +TheGlobuleReturns Yeah, not his personal guitars. You know how it is, you get attached. He likes the Strat trem floating, for example. Mine is 'just' about usable and set flat on the body. Can be a big difference. No worries for a true great guitar player I guess!

    Superb playing. I have one of Simon's pedals already and love it. Very amp-like. The Page is next on my list. It seems very versatile. Thanks for the great video guys.

    Can I just thank you guys for this show - I ordered a Page and Harlot after seeing it and they are such incredible pedals; now the centrepiece of my rig. I'm also so glad this gave extra exposure to Simon and Christine Jarrett and the Kingsley Amplifiers business. They deserve all the success they get. Their products are amazing and they are also really wonderful people to deal with.

    Dan, Mick, so cool that you had Simon on the show! He's a great guy and amazing player. I've spoken to him a few times on the phone, and he really knows his stuff. I'm proud to say I'm a Jester, Juggler and Harlot owner! (I'm actually a weirdo who doesn't use a normal amp - I have a valve rack power amp and the Kingsley Juggler as my preamp.)

    I cant believe that anyone could give this a thumbs down - they cant be electric guitar lovers. The sounds and playing are to die for, Dan's as well as Simon's. I've already ordered a Harlot - truth is I want them all!!!

    Beautiful sounding pedals - and Simon's playing is AMAZING across the board - on the Harlot middle mode, it was sublime! Now, to just get him playing the Talkbox/Vocoder... Keep up the great work, gentlemen! :)

    What an inspiring show that was. Sure I'm unlikely to ever be in a position to buy any of those gorgeous pedals, but listening to both of you coaxing that awesome array of sounds from them by adjusting your picking and volume has made me want to go and try it myself.

    Kingsley user here for 2 years. (Constable/Minstrel). These pedals are the real deal. They are so different than using a typical dirt box. They allow your guitars knobs to really shine and make unlimited useful tones. The way it handles the highs is much, much different.

    Really great show guys. I've been looking forward to this one ever since Dan mentioned that Simon was coming to town a couple of months back. I discovered the Kinglsey gear just after Simon update to the mark 2 low profile Jester. I was looking for a 'not the same thing again' OD and found this cool bloke playing with amazing sensitivity into a Jester. Ordered it the next day and for the last couple of years it's been all I wanted. I would have bought one of his amps too, if I hadn't just dropped a wad on a Carr Rambler. I can't do the gear justice like you guys can, but I love it with a deep unnatural love.

    I've learned so much about tone and sound in general just from listening to the banter in these videos let alone the subject of them. It must be sinking in because I was sitting here thinking... that Harlot pedal is really bringing out the attack, a couple seconds later Dan mentions it.
    I feel like I just earned my green belt or something in tone-jitsu.

    This tone is so refreshing. I was going to buy a fender amp but definitely a Kingsley now, that’s an easy choice.

    The sounds and playing in this video are so inspiring. I was thinking how I could listen to those tones all day right before Dan said the same.
