Tiffany D. Jackson is one of the best authors I've come across in a very long time! It's her books that made me realize how much the other things I was reading was so horrible. Thank you for shouting her out!
I really need to get to A thousand splendid suns. I really enjoyed The Measure when I read it last year. It did lack explanation of where the strings came from, but I enjoyed the human relationship aspect and viewed it more as a drama with a thought experiment than scifi dystopia. But how interesting you said you don’t like scifi when you talked about Red Rising (also on my tbr btw) but you wanted more of it in The Measure 😅 Love your sense of humor! Oooh White smoke sounds good! Is it scary or just suspenseful? I cannot do horror 😅 🐣
Also found the story around "no longer human" more interesting than the book. I preferred the manga adaptation by Junji Ito but also.... rough maybe more so.
Seeing you reading multiple books while in a slump makes me think I've been doing reading slumps wrong😅 Maybe re-reading more books you love might help if it's hard for you to focus on something new.

Reading at all whilst in a slump is impressive!! 💙💙💙
I enjoy your book reviews. I read Nothing to See Here based on your previous recommendations and it was a 5-star for me.
currently in a book slump, it's amazing that you read as much as you did. really enjoyed the video and i've added a few to my tbr :)
I read so many but was struggling while reading and wasn't having fun so I'll try to slow down a bit

I get the same way when I’m in a slump. I can barely pay attention and I don’t remember a single thing afterwards.
👍👍👍
