Phenomenal practice bull. And stayed to the front well. When he finally came around you humped your back a little which took the weight off your feet and scooted your butt back off your rope.
ummmm….. if u were in mexico then…. they have knives for spurs and they dig them into the bulls side and they quite bucking cause they’re dying… that’s mexicans tho, americans dont do that
The Mexicans use a spur called gaffs and they hook into the skin (which is very thick). Once the rider drops down and hooks his gaffs into the bull, the gate is also opened and the "ride" begins. Since the rider is basically stuck to the bull, they pretty much have to wait until the bull stops bucking before attempting a dismount. Other assistants will try to rope the bull or distract him to aid the rider in getting off. With regards to suggestions that this kills the bull, it does not, I'm not saying pain isn't involved as clearly "hooks" into the bull's thick skin, are what is holding the rider's feet to the bull, but there is no attempts or desires to harm the bull beyond this level, as the bulls are nowadays quite expensive/valuable and the owners of the bulls would not stand for any life threatening levels of danger to their investments. While there is a level of pain endured by the bovine athletes during this type it style of riding, the alternative is really only castration and death to be turned into hamburger. Whereas an average to excellent bovine athlete can experience feed and care for a decent 5-14 year career based on their performance and athletic ability. Overall life is not fair, and admittedly this falls into that philosophical field of discussion.
Bulls used for this sport are very happy animals nowadays. They aren't overworked and are taken care of in huge fields until its time for work day which alot of the time, is only once a month for each individual bull
They’re fine, there’s something called a flank strap tied around their flank (not tightly) just tight enough that it irritated them a bit so they buck continuously It doesn’t hurt them it just makes them annoyed. They are not overworked and live in massive fields for their entire life. Don’t assume it’s abuse by looking, dive deeper into the matter and make a conclusion
My buddy Cody 🤣 met him in welding. Leave it to a bull rider and a ranch hand to corner ppl in the locker room daring them to swing. 🤣 Anyways he said "we raise bucking bulls and do contracts." 🤣 God damn I said "I raise purebred charolai and work on a 55k acre ranch"

Thats the point.. the rider is trying to stay on for as long as they can while the bull is bucking

Bit of a underrated animal.
Mk I need to know where ur doin the practice bc I'm really wanting to do bull riding
I just watched bull riding while in Mexico today and is it normal for someone to normally last on the bull until it doesn’t kick as much?
Yes, you usally have to stay on for 8 seconds tho
@@RebekahYTYou contradict yourself. The answer is no, you have to stay for 8 seconds which is not long enough fkr most bulls to stop kicking that much

This looks easy yet fun, but I know there's some skill to this. Good ride tho man

Just wondering, why are there cowbells on the underside of the bull?
my horse on a saturday after I refuse to let him stay in the field after he was out all night be like:
Were they saying elbows ??? What do they mean ? Do you have to keep your elbows tucked or something ?
Your elbow being in the right position is vital for a good ride It control’s balance
Good hustle with them feet👍
Good stuff
Me : Is that a bull or a cow
The owner : that is a cowll

Ceep that hand up
All I can hear is “keep your heels down!!!” 😂😂😂

Nice ride, I’ve always been curious, why do riders keep one hand in the air instead of clutching the rein?
it’s not a rein, it’s a bull rope, and it helps them balance, so is he spins to the left they’ll throw their hand to the left and the same then it goes to the right

Not bad 🎉
I just covered my first one in 2 years

Good ride bro

Damn bro, why you gotta be that aggressive
Its a little bull !
I’m guessing your joking I’m not sure

What’s the bell for?
It’s for when you fall and let go of your slack it weighs the rope down so it falls to the ground and the bullfighters can grab it
