AT ABOUT 19:10 you can see the second iron Gordon's back end explode again. perhaps it is a fundamental issue with the ship.
Some part of the rear turrent might be clipping something, or isn't connected properly and fall off immediately. It really looks like the turret innards did that in any case.

Hey Lathrix, I would recommend against capturing. Feel free to do it to spare yourself the grind, but you'll be swimming in materials soon enough that capturing will likely remove most of the challenge (if any).
Enemies already spend 3-15 times the materials to make similar ships, and I've yet to see Lath sweat against anyone on Neter. Even the occasional lost battle just means the next battle will have a shiny new revenge craft in it.
@@TlalocTemporal I mean, that kinda goes both ways. If he already isn't breaking a sweat, there's no real need to capture.
Personally I like to capture damaged enemy vessels for * ahem * “research and development.”
@@OhmIsFutile -- If he doesn't capture in the early game, he might be forced to play smart and conserve limited resources. It's about the closest thing to strategy we'd be likely to see in FTD.

As far as I can tell, the issue with the 'distraction sticks' is that they're to far from the main craft.
I'm not sure if just reducing the hang distance would be enough, or whether having a second set hover above it would be better. But either way, they're far enough away for the missiles to retarget onto the main craft while not seeing the sticks.

I get a real like Great Water Beetle / Assassin Bug vibe from this thing, with the big mandibles and the 'forelegs' and the big proboscis of death etc. Its like some kind of Tyranid insect. I love it.
Also, official petition for next campaign to be Tyranid or Necron themed instead of Chaos etc. Love me some Tyranids.

Techpriest Mosley's Journal Entry III
It was an interesting day when I had to wake up in some industrial room instead of an old dirty hammock but I suppose it's just as well, due to the fact the DWG has been going through some dark times. The DWG has lost more Rapiers than a knight who is really bad at dueling and a huge power vacuum has been left after Sal charged in guns blazing as opposed to utilizing their blatant artillery tp pick off the enemy airships one by one. The Onyx Watch have been losing Cordon after Cordon, taking heavy losses in the process, although that may be due to the designer cheesing the hell out of it. Anyways, fact of the matter is, if the DWG and OW have had difficulty with this new legion then I have little faith for the Lightning Hoods. Let's hope we actually know how to use basic tactics. Such as heavier warships lying around the back and opening fire like artillery.
I've recently heard of a new ship the new faction has obtained. It apparently looks like a form of insect which shoots rounds out of its mouth with radar sticks to divert missiles. Clever.
More news from the DWG front, they lost a Moray to these so called ''Envoys''. I doubt Envoy is a very good name, I would recommend ''Vultures'' because of how they circle in for the kill.
Fact of the matter is, though, the writing's on the wall for the DWG. The OW are showing some disturbing trends too. They are losing much larger and bulkier craft to smaller, more compact vessels. The OW is a lost cause already.

Have you ever tried using the safety defuse/ejector system? I know the clips now say the explosion radius (also just because you don't have an explosive payload doesn't mean they don't boom, gunpowder still explodes) but if you have room in the shell adding the safety defuser system is a really good idea.
The only time you don't need one is for a pure kinetic railgun, that would have no explosives at all, I also don't think emp would matter too much. I basically always add the ejectors, with the only exception being short shells that having the defuser would make them have literally no payload, and deck guns because them blowing up only really kills them. Also, if you get hit in a gun and it doesn't separate some of the autoloaders then you can still use it, just with a lower capacity. You can get some really damn resilient crafts using it, try it out sometime yeah?

I have a similar gun built into a helicopter/gunship. It fires in bursts and does pretty good damage, but the problem is the helicopter itself because it doesn’t really work that well.

The design I feel depends on his mood
Bad day = offense/big guns, blood colored and spikes and usually burning main frames/destruction

a thought seeing how close the ai still shoots at the decoys... what would the effectiveness be of shoving all the decoy types on a missile and actually shooting it at the enemy? in large scale combat i think it would be cool to see missiles drawing cross fire if a missile could sticky to the foe's face and ping as an enemy to the ai lol
That actually works quite well when fighting multiple opponents. But it really depends on your positioning, with a craft like the abhorrent it wont make much of a difference. And in 1v1 battles the missiles just tend to ignore them since they tend to fly out of the detection cone.
@@VoidplayLP cool, i haven't played the game as my graphics card would probably melt, but i'm glad to see that it can be effective if only niche... i rather still want to see an enemy shoot into it's ally trying to hit a decoy lol... how many magnets would it take to get a decoy to stick to an enemy rather than just despawning or falling away when the fuel runs out? or do they not stack like decoys and payloads?
