I'm in time for breakfast, and it sounds like the poshest breakfast I have reviewed yet!!

Hope you all had a good weekend folks - have you ever been to the Cosy Club?
I was surprised just how good this breakfast was - let me know your thoughts!!
Good evening, Greeno, the super green juice looks really fresh and delish ❤ That place looks really cozy. The eggs OMG, perfect ❤
Looks good but I prefer the Asda breakfast don't know if you've had one?
Nice one those beans excellent Jay poole dorset😂
Hi greeno🙋🏼♀️ Everything looked really good loved the look of the potato rosti yummy 😋 Greeno drink was ideal for you 🤣🤣🤣👍🏻glad you enjoyed it xxx🩷
Greeno, you and Gary are on a nice run of good spots. Nice
You know it will never last !!
Looked nice but we have to be realistic here. Breakfast and a coffee is £20. So if three people go it's £60. Simply costs too much for what it is!
I wouldn’t do it all the time, but as an occasional treat
Next time in Gun Warts try Bannana Tree. They serve a variety of far eastern cuisenes. We've enjoyed all our meals in there so far.
Tony & Linda, Portsmouth, UK
Thanks Tony, I appreciate the tip!
Talking of Green Juice, Please try out Starbucks Matcha Green Tea Latte with ICE, as my wife did and she really liked it.
Thanks for the tip!
I think that pond juice needed a double vodka to make it palatable
It tasted a LOT better than it looked!
@@GreenoEats it couldn't taste any worse Greeno
That was a delicious looking breakfast, every time I watch you cut into the eggs i give a little cheer when it pops and the yoke just trickles out. Great vid Greeno 👍
Those eggs were bang on weren't they. And I liked the fact you could taste the vinegar that had been added to the poaching water too
Classic Breakfast 1251 Kcal, The Cosy Butcher's Brunch 1558 Kcal..... 🤭🤭🤭 Ridiculous... It's just a breakfast...
Not something you’d want to eat every day, but as an occasional treat…
Looks nice apart from the "Devils Food"
Ooh, what do you consider the devils food?
Limes have more minerals, but lemons have more vitamin c ..So they kind of even out on benefits nutritionaly ...
The drink seemed to be wonderful. Brekkie seemed very decent indeed. Unlike many others ,runny eggs make me feel very queasy 🤢 ..so I had skip by that super quickly ..😂..
Fantastic for the price when you know it is that type of quality.
Funny the thins that people like and dislike isn't it - I hate watching people eat mushrooms!!
@@GreenoEats I was given a boiled egg & toast soldiers when I was about 3 & apparently I fainted 😂...I am the same with tomato ketchup too .
I love mushrooms though ..
Yep,we all have our quirks, but it is what makes food such an intresting subject in the end.
Keep up the great work..🤗

Hey, Greeno, I hope you are well. I’ve been watching a number of you videos throughout the day while baking. My mouth is watering.
I must say, you have a lovely demeanour. So calm and pleasant. So easy to watch.
That is really kind of you to say so 🙂
Hi Greeno, been the Cosy Club in Leeds as I teach there a few times a year. I had the Classic Breakfast with poached eggs instead of fried or scrambled. The sausages were very good, the same with the rostis, the bacon was good, the same with the beans but the show stopper was the wine tomatoes, the nicest tomatoes I think I have eaten. I love tomatoes and thes were top notch, sounds strange but as a tomato freak they were sweet, juicy and perfectly fried. The sourdough toast was as well top notch. So I gave it a 8 out 10 as I have database with all the restaurants I or my wife and I have visited since 2001. Just to have a reference for when we are going out in different city's and countries. Another great review, Greeno, you're very good at describing the flavours and textures which really makes your videos very watchable together with your calm personality. Well done, mate.
Thanks as always for the kind words. We are also tomato freaks here at Greeo Towers. During our French sojourn this summer I dread to think how many Euros we spent picking up tomatoes of all shapes, colours and sizes around the markets, and even in the supermarkets. For flavour they knock anything we get here into a cocked hat!
Hi Greeno!💜🩵💙💕💕💙🩵💜 Breakfast looked tasty for £16.00 Were the beans homemade with the chorizo? Love the poached eggs, healthy choice. The pork belly slice, now that's ingenious. Looked warm and inviting. Is it disability friendly? There were a lot of stairs going up. Thank you for sharing a lovely breakfast. ❤❤🍽
There is a lift which caters for disabled guests, so that's a good thing. The breakfast was good. I think the beans probably come in that way, manufactured elsewhere, but they were blooming tasty!!
Hi Greeno yes good weekend hope you did to.
Cosy club great name.
What an amazing breakfast.
Ann in Cumbria.xx.
It was a good breakfast, I was pleasantly surprised!!
WOW!!! That's what I call a breakfast!! 😃
The only thing I would have changed is the toasted sourdough bread, I hate it with a vengeance since I was a kid!!
And thanks for the nice memories you've stirred by visiting Gunwharf Quays, must have been there last some 10 years ago.
Btw, I'm not from the UK, but love it! But there's another but, the weather drives me crazy there, so will never dream of living there unfortunately. 😔
I totally get that about the weather, Mrs Greeno is Hungarian, and it drives her crazy!
Hi Greeno! Really nice video & your breakfast looked great!! Eggs looked beautiful & I do love sourdough. My only tiny criticism would be that white vinegar should be a no-no for any good chef preparing poached eggs... But I'm just nit-picking & they did look fantastic. That would definitely be my type of place to stop for a morning treat. Glad you enjoyed it & take care. 😊
The vinegar worked for me as I do like that flavour, although I know it wouldn’t be for everyone!
I remember when the Gunwharf Quays was HMS Vernon. The last time I was there the Cosy Club wasn't there, but everything changes. The breakfast did look good but the overall cost was a bit steep.
I think the drinks prices pushed the cost probably a touch high, but the quality and the cookery was all there
That looked yumm . . Those eggs tho mmm .
. Next time season 1 . Scoop it up and pop the whole thing in your mouth and feel the egg burst . . So yumm . .
Took a friend to a chain restaurant tonight called . . ..Dennys . Family style . . . . Are they in the UK ??
Till next time take care
Bye from NZ👋🇳🇿🍻👍twa
I just checked Denny's as I didn't think they were here. But they have 2 apparently. Bizarrely both are located in Swansea. They're going in the list though!!
Pricey. Portsmouth thinks it's London prices!
It’s everywhere down South this pricing policy!
@@GreenoEats I'd rather a mixed grill from spoons for that sorta waad.
@@sicdoctor quantity over quality there though 🙂
@@GreenoEats sure in some cases, but not in this. That looked nothing special, and the place was dead, probably because it's overpriced. I'll still take the spoons with a pint included. 😄
Looked fantastic Greeno - just searched their website but no branches in Scotland - only England & Wales.
Oh really? Perhaps it's the lack of square sausage and tattie scones on the menu that's put them off opening up there!!
Greeno, Portsmouth one home of the Navy, some good eateries there and some not!! Thank you. 🤗🤗
I enjoyed my time in Portsmouth in the 90s as a student, although my culinary experiences were mostly at the budget end!
@@GreenoEats Cheers Greeno for making me feel old!! 😭😭
I have never heard of Cosy Club but that breakfast looked so tasty. The poached eggs looked very nice indeed. Everything looked tasty. I'm not a fan of smoothies so I probably wouldn't purchase one of those mainly because I wouldn't be able to drink that amount of pure juice. Nice looking place too. 👍
It was a lovely breakfast, with enough points of difference over your normal Full English - very enjoyable
Looked really delicious....if anything I missed the black pudding, a fav of mine. Greets from Germany
I’m a fan of black pudding too!
Omg that looked amazing. Could just eat that. Good score. Thanks Greeno
It was very tasty indeed - glad you enjoyed the review!
Mountain warehouse sells North Face products, there own brand Mountain warehouse are quality
I do own some Mountain Warehouse clobber too
Hello Greeno. Many thanks my friend for getting back to me with the name of that beautiful piece of music.I r3eally appreciate it. I must make a B Line to our local record store to see if I can buy an album *"BACK TO PORTLAND by TRACK TRIBE"* many thanks for sharing. Look forward to yiur next adventure "Old Son."
No problem :-)
Well, done Greeno lovely breakfast. Have to say you're a nice chap and you always reply to comments. Think your better than Gary eats! Keep those food reviews coming!
Well that's praise indeed !! I really appreciate that :-)
I never thought I would see the day that British food would be lauded on international channels. Some sixty plus years ago the bill of fare was downright awful!Custard on everything, warm beer and cold toast.I was a Canadian kid trying to get a pop with ice in it. I ended up with an ice cream float at which time I just gave up!!!!
Oh yes, even just in the last 20-30 years things have moved on a lot!
Excellent review of a real quality looking meal - I don't think it was overpriced in all fairness.
I take my hat off to you foodie reviewers ....... I got really annoyed when you mentioned about people saying you have to eat the eggs asap ...... really ??? ..... these people need to get a Life and cease this meaningless drivel. Greeno, you eat your meal in any way you wish ... you always give a fair review.
Ha ha, I am always willing to listen to constructive criticism… every day is a school day with an opportunity to learn 😂
Can't beat a greasy spoon breakfast. Egg yoke oozing into the beans and tinned tomatoes and mopped up with bread and butter. I do loath hash browns, they've invaded ever English breakfast. lol
A greasy spoon can be great, but often you get those awful catering sausages, cheap beans etc. if you find a good one though it must be cherished!
Always egg first mate. lol
What a different twist on a breakfast, it looked delicious.
So jealous with that one.
London £5 for a coffee mate.
Sounds great to me. Lol
It really was good. I am surprised they don't have any locations in London - a bit strange no?
The price was a bit steep, but I'm sure there was some quality in that breakfast. I'd give it 3 to 4 out of 5 - I think the coffee was overpriced ... Thanks.
It is top end price wise, but the quality of the produce was very good for a chain. The coffee and juice while also a touch punchy were delicious
An hour ago I polished off bacon, eggs and black pudding, but this had me drooling. Lovely place, but a bit too pricey. I reckon they make most of their money on the coffee.
Everywhere makes loads of money of coffee don't they !!
Nice looking breakfast, Greeno. Nicely done eggs, two lots of bacon, good-looking sausage, and excellent potatoe squares. Hash browns, at least those odd looking trangles that purport to be hash brown but aren't are an abomination. Julienned potatoes cooked to a crisp in a patty is the way to eat hash browns, no triangles, please. As a,ways, a great review of a decent breakfast.
I’m no fan of the triangular hash brown (although the McD one is actually ok!)
Looks like a nice breakfast
You heading up north soon ? Try North Yorkshire won't be disappointed 👍
I do have plans to - it's just a matter of timing
Not impressed with Cosy Club when we ate their in Norwich last year. Over priced and not good quality and poor service and small portions, no good. I won't go again.
That’s a shame, seems like your experience was much different to mine. These chains aren’t always consistent though are they.
Eggs looked perfect but the sausages on my screen looked almost black on the outside. Overall looked ok and the juice sounded delicious.
The skins of the sausage did look a little dark, but there was actually no problem with the cookery of them - just no discernable pepperiness
Yes looked very good, i might have chosen a different breakfast but what you had did look fine and nice just a bit pricey but obviously worth it good!😊
Yes, I had no complaints about the price given the quality of the breakfast. Drinks a touch punchy pricewise though
We went to the one in Sheffield for lunch and was blown away, as normally we just go to spoons. I don’t think the prices are that bad when you look at a meal from Burger King and compare the quality
Yep, it's a real step up, delicious
It sounds pricey but it does look great quality, all looks cooked great to my eyes, rostis are lovely, I'd have them anyday over hash browns which I'm not a fan of either.
The rostis were a very welcome element on this breakfast!
The brekkie \i hsd during my short holiday was perfectly edequate and di not cost an addit. cent. Money does not always buy quality.
Glad we both enjoyed our breakfasts recently then - that's all good :-)
Okei decent price?maybe a little too much, but I,m guessing it was very good👍
Yes, price a little higher than a normal breakfast, but I think the taste, the service and everything else made it worth it
That looked like a good breakfast and the sourdough is a nice touch as it has been my first choice of bread for many years (just ahead of wholegrain).Good breakfast and nice review
Thanks Paul, glad you enjoyed it!
Yep, Lincolnshire sausages every time over Cumberland. As for what rhe Lime juice does ,Oh gawd, don't you know wby the Yanks call us Limey,, because in the 17th century we discovered limes were best thing for scurvy Great review Greeno looked fab ! ❤
This is why I thought limes weren't that good - basically a poor man's lemon nutritionally
The bacon need a bit more cookery. not cooking. hehehe
There was a HIGH waste of brown sauce putting sauce in a dish = more sauce ending up in the bin.
£16.25 for the small breakfast is a bit much. have you seen rate my takeaway did a breakfast for that price with enough food on the plate for 2 people. inc sliced fruit etc. and high quality items on the plate.
If she sees how much you wasted on that breakfast. your in deep trouble. hehehehe
We must keep the price a secret - especially on a video that I filmed today and will be out later in the week / early next week - I will be in the doghouse!!
Great looking breakfast Greeno but for that price you'd want it to be. Pity no mushrooms or tomato as it was lacking a bit of liquid with a lot of it being grilled/fried.
I was perfectly happy with the lack of mushroom myself haha!
This is my second comment the first one seems to have disappeared into the ether. 😳 Anyway I loved the video, the food looked good but a tad too expensive for me. Keep up the good work sweetie. 👍😘
UA-cam does funny things with the comments sometimes! Thanks for the kind words!!
That was a great breakfast Greeno, You ate it and I enjoyed it. 25 Quid, my sporran would have been happy with that as well, which speaks well for that breakfast. BTW Greeno, what was the background music you had playing with this post. Can you give me the name of the piece and the artist preforming it please. That was quite a catchty tune. Stay safe my friend!
It was a great breakfast indeed ! The music is a piece called "Back to Portland" by Track Tribe - it's something in the UA-cam library
Looks very good, but would have been even more perfect with a bit of black pudding
Can't argue with that!
Why on earth is onion considered to be ok to be put in everything? I hate onions and I have to be careful with things like hash browns and that rosti thing you have there. Rant over, your breakfast looks very nice.
I like cooked onion - raw onion not so much - will often ask for that to be removed!
It looks delicious 😋,,, expensive, yes but the juice not for me 😂
The juice looked like pond water but was absolutely delicious!
Whack them beans on the plate and drizzle the brown sauce over, looked great greeno.
With the chorizo in the beans it didn’t need any more flavour, absolutely banging they were!
I suspect Mrs G is up to all your tricks, amigo. Glad you enjoyed your meal!
Ha ha, I don’t doubt if for one minute 🤣
Much prefer rosti to hash browns anyday easy to make to 😋😋😋😋🥰🥰💯💯
These were a welcome addition to the breakfast, your average hash brown is most certainly not!
a tad pretentious if you ask me, the juice was very expensive and when they put the toast and beans in a pot on the plate it doesnt look like much food on the plate.
It was a bit "poshed up" but the quality was excellent, both in terms of producr and cookery. The juice was expensive certainly, but I suppose there's quite a lot of fresh produce goes into making one.
@LaoshiChristine Love your pretentious pick up .a tad pretentious. Are you going to disappear up your own tad bum.
HI Greeno What a smashing breakfast you had 4/5
Oh yes :-)
I went to one and was impressed but the last two times I was really disappointed- the portions were very small and considering the price I have decided that there are much nicer places to go
Ah that's a shame that your recent experiences haven't matched up.
I haven’t been to Cosy Club for years, but I enjoyed it every time I went. I ordered the Cosy Eggs with salmon every time. I would highly recommend Pho as well, as they have a set menu for lunch, and their Vietnamese coffee is delicious. Both Pho and Cosy Club are two places where I’ve never had a bad experience, and I’ve personally enjoyed both xx
I must get to Pho sometime soon, their menu always looks good to me !
Looks good prefer truck stop breakfasts get more aswel goid review tho❤
Thanks, I appreciate that 😊
No grease on that plate mate fantastic breakfast.
Forget the price quality counts
Yes, the lack of grease on a fry up is most unusual, but most welcome too !
Greeno, next time you’re in gunwharf walk over to Southsea which is around 10/15 min walks. There’s a lovely Portuguese place called algarve grill, we found it when we visited gunwharf last month. I love a day out there and going to Southsea but food choices are fairly limited at gunwharf!
Thanks for the tip - Gunwharf food choices are mostly chains aren't they, although at least a half decent variety of them
@@GreenoEats yes mate, they’re not awful and they do a job but it’s the usual Italian chains etc. There’s also another one in Southsea called El Toro! A great Argentina steakhouse and they’re both very good value and portions, a lot cheaper than London anyway 😂
I didn't see any black pudding on that plate so that's not a proper breakfast
Ha ha - I like the way you think!
Another excellent review but that drink didn't look very green to more like bilge water keep up the good work 😊
Yes, as I said it did look a bit like the glass had been dipped into a pond, luckily it didn't taste like that!
Nice looking breakfast chap 👌👌😋
Thanks, I certainly enjoyed it!
Top video Greeno! I will visit here when in Chichester for work. How much did you spend in North Face?! 😀….Smithy
I was very restrained and didn't spend anything in there Smithy :-)
@@GreenoEats 😂 I’m shocked Greeno!
Not for me. Trying to be far too poncy for absolutely no reason.
I can get a far better breakfast for way less than that.
I liked their twists on the standard full English, but I do get what you're saying!
It's pronounced chorizo, NOT choritzo
Noted, thanks!
Nice looking food, Strangley different to what we get in New Zealand
Is that so? What would you get there then?
Looked great but didn’t fancy the drink much
Luckily it tasted a LOT better than it looked haha
Hi if you want a good breakfast is to come over here to northern ireland to get the potato bread and soda bread which you do not get over there
I do plan to get myself an Ulster Fry before too long hopefully!!
Oooo that breakfast looks crazy good, would love to try it👌
It really was good - a nice twist on the traditional Full English breakfast
Great review as always and have to admit the slow pork belly had my mouth watering as you cut into it. However, am so glad I wasn't there for that breakfast as just one bite of the Rosti would have seen me head to the restroom faster than a starship. I'm one of those few people who have a pathelogical dislike and indeed fear of cheese in any format. Anyway, glad you mentioned it in the taste, so if I ever have a meal with it included, I'll ask for something alternative. So actually, thank you, yet another reason why your channel is not only entertaining, but also highly informative.
Thanks for the kind words. I’m not a huge fan of blue cheese, but all other cheese is welcome. So thanks for leaving more for me. Hopefully you like the mushrooms I am avoiding 🙂
@@GreenoEats Lol, you're welcome :D and yes indeed I do like mushrooms, so am sure we can secure a good exchange across the table :-)

Quality does cost more, and this was quality
Ha! I'm glad you called it - that's a disgraceful price for a coffee, but the food looked banging 🤩
Even though the coffee was delicious I do find that all coffee is overpriced!
@@GreenoEats Agree mate, all the poncy names for standard coffees are only there to justify the price. I refuse to ask for an Americano, I just ask for black coffee. I started yielding once a few years ago and DID ask for one, and they asked me if I wanted milk in it 🤬 well that a white coffee! 🤬🤬🤬 I'm gonna take my foot off my soapbox now, before I really get going 😂😂
Fifty quid for breakfast for two mmmm
Well in fairness anywhere that you have a coffee and a juice with the breakfast is gonna pump the cost up

The Lounge Group (to which Cosy Clubs belong) originated in Bristol. It was set up by some friends who bemoaned the lack of somewhere they could meet up at any time of the day, in a relaxed atmosphere, eat decent food if hungry, and have a beer or coffee as the mood took them. Turns out that a lot of other people felt the same! And that original place in South Bristol was the start of a chain.
They hit on a winning formula… and I can absolutely see that it’s a concept from Bristol, exactly the kind of place you can imagine in Clifton!
@GreenoEats my daughter worked for our local Lounge for 2 years. They shut every branch for a day every year because they host a massive staff party....Loungefest. Staff bussed to the venue in Wiltshire, free food, booze. Bands. DJ. I think they now have to have North and South events!

Great looking breakfast, don't like runny eggs so would have gone for scrambled, but £4+ for a coffee is a bit over the top. Excellent review though Greeno and those sausages looked perfect. Best wishes 😊👍
Coffee prices are one of the biggest scams out there - cost literally pennies to make. But it was a very tasty one!

Lived in Portsmouth for a brief period when I was a student in Southampton during the early 90s. Well remember the walk each morning from Nelson Road in Southsea down to Portsmouth and Southsea station - never saw the place in the daylight. Things have changed and these "quays" are now the rage. That food looked great but you were right in your marking... Hope you enjoyed your shopping.
There’s probably a very good reason, but if you studied in Soton, why were you living in Portsmouth?

This was a really good breakfast. I've often wondered why most places don't bling up the beans with extra flavour, to me that's an easy no-brainer. I can't stand hash browns. They don't have much flavour, are usually dry and have the texture of toe nail clippings. I would go for bubble and squeak anytime. No mushrooms, that's a mistake, and I always swap out the hash browns for mushrooms.
I agree with everything above, apart from the mushroom bit, for they are clearly the work of the devil ha ha!!!
A lovely breakfast. Not too posh. You didn't need tux and tails.😊
Good job too - I'd only get egg down the front of it !
