    This is needlessly convoluted. It's annoying enough to have scan a card, now we have to scan a card plus dig through our phone/internet to get what is on sale. Do you guys think about the senior citizens that aren't internet savvy or don't even have a smart phone? Just run a ad and give shoppers what is on sale, don't turn the experience into a damn treasure hunt.

    I don't go here because there are to many steps to get a deal. I spend thousands a year at Walmart. Your system is designed to be difficult so we get stuck paying regular price.

    Did the corporate stooge who thought up this convoluted treasure hunt to get stuff on sale, think about older people who don't have a smart phone? This is needlessly complicated. You already make us use a card to get things on sale, now we need this on top of it? The only purpose of this scam is to try to make it difficult for shoppers to get things on sale and fatten Kroeger's bottom line. Love to meet the marketing genius who came up with these digital deals.

Digital Coupons are an added benefit designed exclusively for those customers that choose to interact with us digitally. If a customer does not have a smart phone, they can use a home computer to access the banner website. 1/2

      That said we also know that not every customer will have an online account, thy are free to present their shopper's card to the customer service desk and the associates can then add the savings.     Sucks when you go to grab an item & it shows there is a digital coupon, so IF you want to save (for me up to $5 on yogurt for ex.), you have to find a place to pull your cart over & get out of the way, pull up your app/account & TRY connecting to the internet in the store & clipping the coupon. At my JayC, I get 1 bar if I’m lucky. It’s a bad system.

    Every time I try to use them they are never reflected in my account. I ask the sales associate and they don’t help. Sucks. I just want the price they put on thee we tag.

    First of all why did 300K plus people have to look this up? Why is it so complicated? "Want to use a digital coupon? First, pull up the app! Then, pound your thumb into the input device located in slot B of your phone. Fourth, make sure it was your right thumb, or thumb Q. Then, load it onto your Mount Jersey Friar's Club Card. Part G, wash your mouth with Listerine! Then, checkout! Your savings will be mailed to you with a Qualcom Card named Jacob. Eat it! Mmmm! Thanks for saving with Kroger!"

    Shouldn't have to load these to a card to get the savings. I spent all the time adding them and they never showed at checkout/had to leave the items there.

    I want to know if I go into my local Ralph's Market and I happen to select those items that have digital coupons, how do I get those savings? In the past, I would scan my Ralph's card at the checkout and I would get the discounted price. All this time I was thinking scanning at checkout was still working. However today I was told I have to sign up for digital coupons??? When I read your explanation on how to use these, it appears you have to go in and select the coupons beforehand and use them somehow at the end. It is very confusing, I don’t care to shop online, nor do I want to have to look through your app to get specific digital coupons. Ugh!!!

      That was my problem so I checked & my phone number on my “account” was different from my old number from when I first got my Kroger card a million years ago. It was a hassle, but after they updated my phone number linked to my Kroger card, it started working. It might be easier to just ask for a new card & make sure your phone numbers match. I hope this helps!

    How about this? I fill my Kroger cart, checkout, open my Kroger app on phone, scan once and everything in my cart that has coupon has it automatically applied before paying. Like the barcode thing on my Keychain. Oh, there's a novel idea...just make every online coupon autolink to my keychain thingy. Simple is better. Or doesn't Kroger want us to use coupons? Last few years, one thing after another by Kroger to push me away

    I thought clipping paper coupons was a pain but this really takes the cake. A item was marked $399 digital coupon 899 with out, told the guy think I'll pass brother. Let him him put it back on the shelf . Wasn't like he was doing anything else. Lol. Yet another cushy union job !

    Here's an idea, why don't we give seniors an automatic discount on all products that they purchase that are on sale. No coupons, no clipping, just show an ID that shows you are a senior by the store's definition (over 50, 55, 65). Sale prices are listed on the store shelves so it's easy enough to see what's on sale.

    already a kroger member why go through so much trouble to get the discount , i have been a member for many years and when i have unresolved problem from digital discount and ask the lady to double check when i got the discount but it didnt work when i got the bill and the next time i had a problem she said i met you a few days ago and same price problem and i was embarrassed about it So and she doesn't help me anymore , I almost go to kröger at Commerce Michigan 2-3 times a week , and now I switched to Costco membership , cheap fast , easy

    Is all scams I went to westwood branch in Los Angeles 9:22 pm on Tuesday when I went to pay , the digital coupons not accepted, I ask the manger after 10 minutes she say tonight is the last night of that coupon because is after 12 midnight ( eastern time ) the coupon expired
    I say we in west cost is more then 2 hr to midnight she answering our system work with the eastern time, I say but you don’t have single shop in east cost. !!!!
    shame on Ralph. I spend over 1hour for nothing

    Yes. I always scan my shopper’s card before I scan my groceries. Still, I did not get credit for the coupons. I now shop elsewhere.

    When I go to check out they do not appear on my checkout screen. I have asked four different employees. One said I have to use the app. Another said, you have to go to the website. A third said I have to enter my alternate ID at checkout. I still don’t know the process since this video is showing a process no one at the store has explained. So now I am shopping at HEB.

      Hi! We're sorry there's so much confusion for you around the digital coupons. If you are stating the digital coupons are not coming off of your bill at checkout, then the third employee is correct. In order for the coupons to be taken off when you check out, the must be clipped inside the app or the website and then you must enter your shoppers card or alternate ID at the register in order for those coupons to be subtracted from your bill.     I quit shopping at Jewel when they began this unbelievably complicated mess . Switched to Marianos with the paper coupons and the automatic sale price. Now, Marianos has the digital coupons too. 😢

      That is part of their scam. Some corporate asshole at Krogers know most people will get frustrated with this process and give up thus saving Kroger's bottom line. It's annoying enough we have to scan a card to get what is on sale, know we have to download a damn app and navigate through it to save a damn dollar on a 12 pack of Pepsi.

      I’m serious. I literally have to take my anxiety medicine b4 going in there. But when I check out, I have my phone in hand ready to show the CSR exactly what didn’t go through & I literally wait for them to fix every single item. This process has saved me $10+. It’s a damn shame because I know that w/o being medicated- I couldn’t deal with it. I also go at night. Yes, I already have anxiety in crowds so grocery shopping is already a bit of a struggle but I manage by going as late as possible. And I refuse to let the corporate jerks play games w/me (straight up be dishonest w/pricing info) but I never take it out on the employees. They’re generally in the same situation financially so they get it. It sucks for them too. *Yes I tried the pickup method but I received too many crazy “substitutions” & also had too many items missing to rely on it. I wish that would improve because it would save me time & stress.

Go when you have some time & do U-Scan (if possible) so you can look at every item that didn’t price drop after you tap on “pay now” & have someone come fix each sale item. They will do it. Usually they just change it but some will check everything, but let them because you know what you bought because it was on sale- (& if you’re like me) & because there were a few decent sales, you were able to grab a few extra items. It makes a difference & that’s a small victory for everyone. I’m lucky that I have the luxury to go when I want, so I go very late when it’s not busy. The staff is much more helpful when there are less customers.

    Digital coupons are horrible. They put an unnecessary burden on poor people who do not necessarily have access to cellular phones and computers. I tried using digital coupons today and it was really stressful. I’m done with Ralph’s.

    Beyond ridiculous system who wants to fandangle around with apps and the internet to get the sale price at the grocery store… the self check outs are hassle enough for customers… next they be asking us to stock the shelves… ENOUGH

    I can understand rules but you have trouble downloading app and you ask for help they yell I am going too help this time and doing so embarrassing you the whole time like your stealing is so down grading I thought comester serving was to be nice how embarrassing you the whole way how is that being nice

    I’m a younger dude in tech and this is dumb… what they are doing is trying to find ways to analyze you as a shopper further by gathering more data from your shopping habits. It’s stupid I know but this what those rewards and coupons amount to now. Without the app the they can’t collect on your data. Imagine clipping coupons like in the old days well… who’s buying what? What’s the demographic??? What items are those demographic purchasing??? It’s all about targeted marketing. This way Kroger and other rewards or coupon apps can go to the manufacturer or distributor and say hey look we got this set of data that will interest you at $$$$. It comes down to money.
    Yes it’s stupid and sometimes the process does not work.
