Thanks for the great tutorial and excellent explanation and giving of your time I think Columbia Maybe looking for a new CEO haha looking forward to more vids.
Watch your video of you using the tomahawk skimmer and I just purchase one yesterday to redoing my inlaw out. Great information and very educational too
Thats great bro I know what you mean the bigger ones are great if your skiming out large areas by hand. Even though the pole is solid its still hard to pull a nice tight coat with the 40 without placing on hand on each side.
@@csdrywallhawaii I haven't used it yet but I will use it this week a room that is 32 x12 and I have to sand down a texture and then skim it I hope I can work it out
hey dude, how the hell do you choose what kind of mud to use, say if i have a bunch of holes i need to patch from running electrical work etc.. that requires both fill + a skim coat to make it flawless. can 45 mud do it all, or is a lite all purpose better, or a lite finishing topping compound?
I personally only use hot mud for patches prefill and on certain jobs that are urgent. I stay away from using hot mud on my last coat. Since its harder to sand and get a nice flat finish especially if skimming. Use a plus 3 light weight mud for your final coat. We run the bazooka with all purpose its heavier because it has more adheaive. All our other coats are with the plus 3 by sheetrock.
Have u used any of Columbia tomahawk?I been tapping for 20 some years just started using boxes and like u said about old school guys my dad the same way me to I guess but I do find going behind the box with a knife makes a better finish
I would use green glue in between the two sheets to help. Or use quite Rock for the second layer to has the sound retention properties of 10 sheets I believe.
Great stuff brother...very helpful

Have you tried the corner cobra on regular taped inside 90s? Wondering if I can replace my old canam roller with that.

We mainly use the tomahawk for skimming ceilings and but joints like in the video above . Thanks for watching
Should of watched the hole video before I asked lol😂
Finally I win😆😆😆😆🤙
Can you use the cobra on the flats? Just wondering if it works for l beads.
I don't think it will work on a flat surface were there's no inside or outside corner.
Hey bro I have a question. Will installing two layer of drywall help with noise? Or is this just old school wait if thinking?
2 layers is definitely better than one but won't improve the sound reduction with any extra steps.

@@csdrywallhawaii have u tried green glue. Don't want to spend the money if the hype ain't real.
