I'm not a Devotion person. I'm a Study God's Word person. When I am asked by someone for prayer, I write it in a journal. I don't use Scriptures, but instead just write out the prayer as though I am writing a personal letter to God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the precious Holy Spirit. I always begin and end with praise too. I enjoy watching everyone's prayer Bibles and I have no criticism for anyone who has a genuine desire to walk and talk with God. I love this "season" that seems to be going around now because it keeps people interested in staying involved with reading their Bibles. We all need Him in our lives and we want Him to move in the lives of our loved ones. Always remember to thank Him, even when it appears that our prayers aren't being answered. His Will Be Done in ALL things.
I also write out every single prayer as though I’m writing to the Father, in Jesus’ Precious Name. I date it so that when answers come, I’m able to record that as a “memorial” to the faithfulness of God. I have found using the acronym A.C.T.S. very helpful as a guide ~
A = ADORATION. acknowledging the greatness of God build my faith in that moment
C = CONFESSION in acknowledging His Greatness, all self is broken down and my weakness and sins are laid bare before Him
T = THANKSGIVING , seriously thanking Him for redeeming me in spite of my sinfulness and being aware of the wonderful Redemptive Power of the Cross as He Atoned for me
S = SUPPLICATION . Now I am in the right frame of mind to bring my petitions before Him. Remembering at all times who I am and to WHOM I’m speaking. The creation kneeling before the Almighty Creator of the universe ❤️🙏🏻

I'm in my 80's and just discovered the prayer Bibles last week. I'm beyond excited. My first small Bible is praying Names of God. ❤

Amen I appreciate all that you've said. It's so important to follow God's leading. I love the prayer bible. I have run away from the bible, but when I ran across sisterita I am so excited to dust off my Bibles. I have to use my large print bible. I'm 72 years old and diabetic. My eyesight cannot take small print. I used to use the soap method. I love it! I'm so excited about putting structure in my time with God. I'm recovering from surgery, so He got my attention!❤❤

The Lord used my very active thinking to learn from this video. I could go on & on……just thank you for this video, God definitely used it for me. God bless!
❤Thank you for this dear Sister. I think I may know what you’re talking about. I came across that video and I felt the same way about that particular video series that was put out. One thing we know from the Word of God for certain is that God’s Word will do His work. His Word definitely does not return void. Yes you’re so correct that everyone will really need to pray about what subjects the Lord may be directing them to pray on & start there. I was so excited to do my prayer bible and then my kids became interested and is now praying God’s Word by themselves. 🥲 That’s huge! No one can tell us that God is not in this. This is an Amazing blessing! Be strong and of good cheer my sister. We’re doing what is meant to be done for such a time as this that we’re in. Also, my grandmother had a prayer Bible. She did not have tabs but pictures of everyone in the family along with underlines, written prayers, etc… This is not new by any means because I’m more than sure our grandparents and their parents did this previously.

I really like the prayer Bible. I have 3 different versions that I like and created a different kind of prayers in each one. I am amazed that when I work on my Bibles God will show me another verse I didn't know, but needed at that time.

I was surfing YT for all kinds of bible related things and came across your video. I watched one of your videos earlier where you was showing the transparent sticky notes and watched a few others about the pens at DG but this video right here, it was like you were speaking to just me.
All the things you said helped me so much.
My mind raises all the time and my feelings are all over the place.
You was so gentle in the beginning of this video and spoke so kindly and I thank you for that because most videos I pull up if it doesn't catch my attention within a few min or even second its not for me. But this video intrigued me to the end.
I'm 63 years old and just getting into bible study even though I was raised in a Christian church as a child.
But now for the first time I hear God loud and clear and he's pulling me to come be closer to him and walk in his faith and its a wonderful feeling.
I also want to thank you in how you broke down different topics in this video. And helped me to go look for budget friendly items to get me on my way. I have a Bible in my Amazon cart that I am planning on purchasing. It will be my very first Bible I ever bought for myself. But thank you for all the tips on other journals, books, supplies I can look forward to adding to my journey.

My sista in Christ, I came across your vlog, and I say well said. I would like to say that I have seen a couple of videos on Prayer Bibles. We all serving God, and the information that the sisters took time to put the information on here to help others. That's a good thing because everyone is not on the same level when it comes to prayer. For some it's hard to pray in public or hard to pray for themselves or whatever the situation may be. But let's keep it decent. I say this to say let's keep building each other's up as a child of God. The prayer Bible is a very good ideam, Thanks for the information.

I started a prayer journal, just a month or so ago! I looked to so many of these UA-cam videos as resources and as a reference and made decisions based on my need to focus in on my spiritual life and commitment to God and my prayers life. I’ve been so blessed by you, and many others in my search to find a workable plan. I have expanded the time I am in prayer and have been able to up the quality of my focus on prayer because the prayers are broken out into sections that move me through the set pattern to pray, the Lord’s Prayer! I have items I am still expanding on, like daily prompts that cover a different topic I care about, one topic a day. Each day when I pray, I select different specific prayers as I feel led. My prayer journal has been so helpful to me! Yes, there are doubters, but I pray for them and move on and do how feel led. Thanks so much for every one of your posts!

I love the cover on your Inspire Bible. The cover on one of my Bibles was getting to look ragged and started peeling (not leather). I just covered it with glue and a piece of tapestry and it is so beautiful now. I've been a Christian for many years. I think its exciting with this "craze" of prayer Bibles that many seem to be getting into God's word more. I just hope they are spending more time absorbing the scripture, than decorating their Bibles. The decorating is fun, but it's the Word and knowing the Word that gives life.

I might be 'Ol school' but I grew up with 1 bible. There was no extra money for multiple bibles. My 1 bible included everything, prayers, study, notes etc...highlighters were basic lol yellow,green,orange & blue.
I was 24 when I discovered promises books. A book filled with topics and scriptures.
The fact is that my bible is my sword.
Yes!!!!! I remember having basic highlighter colors. I remember how amazed I was when I came across a pack of very colorful pens. They were so beautiful to me! Lol I still can’t believe I went from having 1 bible to now

I do a YouVersion devotional daily with my sister. My husband and I listen to the Bible over two years (right now). I loved your video on scripture writing and it reminded me to start another scripture writing-I’m going to write out Psalms as my 2024 theme is ‘Precious Prayer’ as I want to build this discipline and conversations (NOT lists of requests😮). Psalms is a beautiful place for praying.
I hope you love the McArthur James study. I’ve found their handling of scripture so rich.
Your story of stuttering is interesting and encouraging. I agree with others that you are easy to listen to and you move at such a perfect pace for those of us that don’t do high intensity very well. Praise God.

Thank you for this vjddo. I am in my 70's. Have I prayed most my life? Yes. But, I will say that I have never been so present in my bible studies as I have been in the past few years. Had I heard the stories and the scriptures? Yes, but not like they are presented today by Bible teaching pastor's and students of the Word. We must always be mindful of those who teach the gospel. I am thankful that I CA navigate in the computer world and on UA-cam. I have been inspired by a number of content creator's. I have prayed about how to study and be more prayerful. It didn't come easy for me. I have been fortunate enough to have several bibles to use for study, for journaling, and prayer. There are many ways to have your personal walk with the Lord. Everyone must find the right way for them. And if you don't agree or like what someone chooses, change the channel or don't say anything at all. I appreciate so many of you. Peace and blessings.
yes, yes yes my sister in Christ. I know exactly what you are talking about and I am struggling in my own journey later in life digging into the Bible and prayer and I really count on and love the UA-cam influencers like yourself and others who are so genuine. I have just started watching videos on a prayer Bible and I absolutely saw the diss video that I believe you are talking about and it hurt my heart and really set off a whole lot of questions in my own head about whether I’m doing things properly. I could not even finish that whole video yesterday because it hurt my heart to think that a person who is teaching the word of Christ to people search for guidance and how it made me feel and I cannot be alone in that. Thank you beautiful soul, for your truth.

I agree, praying about a prayer Bible before you even start is the best way to go about it! Im currently working on a Bible for myself and a friend who just got married and ive been asking God what to put in her Bible as well as mine. Ive watched SO many videos on people creating their own and everyone does it just a littlw different and each one is beautiful and unique to the woman that made it. Ive taken ideas from a lot of people. My Bible is 8x5 inches. My compact Bible i feel is too small. The one i bought for my friend is just slightly bigger, but its skinnier than the one i bought for myself. I feel like they are the perfect size for her and myself, and a lot of prayer went into it before i even chose the ones i bought.

Before I finish watching this video I want to tell any new believer that God knows your heart even w/o a prayer Bible. Seek Him 1st. I am a seasoned Christian (over 20 years) and because I teach preschoolers, I had always felt inadequate to pray corporately, because I thought I prayed very "simple" ....but God. He says to come to Him. And I did and I pray seeking Him and not what I think or what others may think.
When I first saw the video on the "prayer bible " I was happy because this a great way to learn more scripture. I remember my journey on this earth is to seek 1st the kingdom of God and all His righteousness...
Start w God and His word. This craft is not a must. For me, it's a great way to memorize scripture and maybe to gift to others with certain concerns and struggle w finding encouragement through the scripture.
Make this your journey with God.

I'm going to start my prayer bible (I just got all of the supplies). I'm excited to be creative AND in the Word!
My sister-in-law shared the prayer Bible with ,e so that we could start it together. She bought me a compact Bible and I quickly realized the size wasn’t going to work. I bought a devotional that I’ve been using to help me with my themes initially and it has made me go deeper into The Word. I decided to keep it simple and use post it tabs and matching highlighters. I may put some Christian stickers in my front cover but that’s it. I didn’t want to get caught up in my prayer Bible being cute (I’m also a planner). My devotional starts with who Jesus is….I’m grateful that I didn’t get too caught up with looking at a bunch of videos.
Your sister in law sounds like a blessing! I too quickly realized I must keep things simple. I got caught of in journaling hard and got so consumed on what perfection looked like that I had anxiety about it. I’m so glad I’m free now! I’m a note taker and always wrote things. This has helped me with praying and studying. And yes it’s ALOT of videos now 🥰 I try to be cautious.

I have been writing my scripture prayers in a journaling Bible for years, the new prayer Bible movement tempted me, but I know myself well enough to know that I will be distracted by the creativity. I will be sticking to writing my prayers without the art and enjoy seeing other people's beautiful payer Bibles.
Oh my goodness!! You are spot on about the different Bibles. I worked at LifeWay and was so amazed at the different translations, whether it be a reference Bible (no study notes) or study Bibles with notes taking up most the page, note taking Bibles and Journaling Bibles. I have NLT's, NIV's, ESV (my fave), CSB (my other favorite), NKJV, KJV, NASB. They all speak to me. If I get stuck on a verse in one Bible, I'll pull out another and see what it says. It makes me sad to think that people are putting negative comments about the heart felt Bibles people are creating on the Sisterita Facebook page. I was always taught that if you can’t say something good about someone, don’t say anything at all!!! However wee know that satan is always busy and he will do anything and use anybody that he can to defeat anything that glorifies our Heavenly Father….the devil is a liar plain and simple, and he’s always going to try to tear us down-to tear God down. Prayer Bibles seem to be the new popular thing right now. I do have a few other vlogs on it which I'm going to watch. Thank you for posting this Charlene.
I’ve been taking time to watch so many. I certainly have to be disciplined because I have to keep studying through Genesis.
I'm an airhead a lot!!! During prayer: "Lord....."
And absolutely NOTHING comes to mind....more often than I like to admit (most of the time I'm exhausted and just can't think!). So, I'll ask the Holy Spirit to please do His thing as Paul says in Romans 8:26 that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us! Thank you, Lord, because words fail me so much!!
And, I was kind of thinking these same things! I have been so excited about getting my Bible in the mail. But I remind myself that it's not just a new Bible/book (which I get excited about getting)! This is a tool to strengthen my relationship with God. Don't be excited about getting a new Bible or making the new Bible pretty, because that is dangerously close to making it an idol. The way I see it, the devil has options, either make people turn away from the Bible or make it so materialistic that it more about having a pretty book that you "made" instead of this book helping you spend quality time with your Father making it and reading from it.
I hope this makes sense so that it helps someone.

Your thoughts are my thoughts! I’ve been led to talk against making the Bible an Idle for a year now. It’s so easily done. I pray for balance always because we are human and we aren’t perfect. I pray we all come to this conclusion that it’s all about God and our relationship with him 💜

I love that you addressed this. In my opinion, even if someone was “copying” someone else, if it gets someone who discovers a channel that may not have seen the other channel, then it’s used for God’s glory. To be worried about “copying” shows that the glory is focused on the wrong person. In ALL things, the glory should be to God alone. You popped up in my recommendations and I am so glad it did ! As a Great Grandma, my "prayer Bible" is surely different than others, as it should be in my eyes. I did pray about if and how I wanted to set up a Compact Bible. Well, He knew. I received a beautiful gift of a Giant Print Compact Filament Bible. I can take it with me, too many Dr's appts! Anyway, it has been such a blessing. I have a section on healing that has been used often already. Praying for and with people that need a physical, mental or spiritual healing. New sub here Sister! Those tiny Bibles are cute but my first requirement was font size. I settled on an Abide Bible because it also had interesting ideas for engaging in the scripture.
Yeah I have a few tiny bibles that I end up not using for that very reason

Thanks so much for sharing this because one of the things you mentioned was exactly what I did. I watched a video, bought a Bible and copied what someone else did in their Bible without first praying to God about it. Now I need to go back and start over with God’s direction for me.

Amen 🙏🏻. Thank you for your channel. I am inspired by your videos and love the idea of a prayer bible. I have always fallen short when it comes to praying, never knowing what to say. I talk with Jesus all the time but never felt my prayer life was right. Idk? I have not seen the negative remarks but I’m not on social media a great deal. You are right. We are all human and we all have good days along with bad. Like the saying goes, “If you’re getting attacked, it means you’re doing right by the Lord.”😉 you just keep doing you and God bless 🙏🏻

Thank you for this video! It is so encouraging. That's one of the reasons I love your channel. I saw the negative/critical prayer Bible videos, too. It was very discouraging, to say the least.
I have been praying about a prayer Bible for over a week, and I almost put it out of my mind because I didn't want to have one more Bible. But, God had a different plan, and I found the exact one I would use at a thrift store. Actually, it is a little Bible I have only dreamed of having but could never afford.

But I kept coming back to...none of what I want to do fits into what I'm seeing. What if I do it wrong? This really guided my in what God was saying to me all along. Do your own thing!!! I LOVE everyone's Prayer Bibles, but sometimes God wants us to do it different and stop copying others🥳🤩And that doesn't at all mean that others are doing it wrong💜

Thank you for your video❤ I was so disheartened to see the negative videos. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ and you are right they should have gone to the individual if they had an issue. One video said that they didnt have the time to watch exceot for 10 minutes of the sisterita video because they are too busy. They did two videos stating they were too busy to watch but yet had plenty of time to give an opinion!
Did you leave this feedback on that channel that you’re talking about? And are you sure that creator meant what you think she meant?
I know I’ve watched a few videos from a creator who seems to be making her own prayer Bible series now, and although she said some of the things that you’ve summarized here in your comment I did not interpret her comments or series as a critique but as a way of showing that there is no one perfect way. Yes, her comment could have been better phrased, but with all due respect your comment is coming off more critical of her than her comment was of Sisterita.
I watched that video and that comment didn't sit well with me.
