Alternate theory: Mrs. Hemlock died in the forest but her soul is tied to the piano. By playing it Ivory is invoking her restless spirit which is killing people... for some reason. Don't have that part of the theory worked out yet lol. We'll just have to wait for more information

what if the family went hunting and the mother got separated, and the family only found the body
and so they go out hunting trying to find out how she died or talk to her spirit or smthing
neverless what if one of the maids killed her and now she's paying back every time her spirit gets woken up(?) by playing the piano, and she's just going to kill every maid cuz even she doesnt know who did it
this is really random tbh and i doubt that's it, but hey, maybe this'll inspire some other theorists (idk how)
      btw i love ur theory
edit: im dummie. in this mini theory i wrote here, i think it'd make more sense if the mother just simply got seperated during hunting. and the family is going hunting to try and find her (or her body)

The ‘butler’ Ivory bumped into could have been apart of Mysticats death. It could be foreshadowing for the death and he was coming from the forest. It sounded obvious that he was lying about his duties, he wasn’t in the servants hall either if he WAS a butler.

I think the forest will act more of a chekov's gun. I really don't think a beast would be appropriate for this kind of story and in this kind of game.
I'm very confident that it's a politically themed murder mystery. In one of Ivory's community post, there's a picture of a newsletter where it says something about weak workers and women and talks about it in a negative way. And in the video, during the scene where Minute and Clown have mumbled dialogue while Ivory is staring into the window, we hear Clown talking about how he expected disciplined workers and not people like Ivory. Later, we see him reminding Ivory to eat for the purpose of keeping her able enough to continue working.
So am I saying Clown is the killer? Maybe...? But i am confident that the killer's motive is somewhat about the workers

Though the recent episode also seems to make it so that the hunt is an actual hunt and not killing servants, and it takes place at someone else’s house
And killing Mysti wouldn’t be much of a hunt would it?
And if this theory is true I think the kids might be against the idea but are forced by their father and the other parents of the rich families

You must have broke into my house and stole half my brain. This is the best theory out there. Not only does it explain the murder, but links it to other mysteries and the theme of Whitepine. As soon as I saw the forest and the "screams" coming out of there, I was immediately like "Yep the forest has a monster". One thing however, I don't think the forest represents Ivory's Trauma but the trauma of everybody in Whitepine Manor. We see this with Pyro looking out the window in one scene at the forest. I think as more episodes go on, we will see more people slowly show the messed up parts of their lives, and that linking themselves to the forest. If only Ivory and Pyro seem to see the forest's contents, what happened to Pyro? We know that his mother died, but...
Pyro seemed disassociated, quiet, and also unwilling to go on a hunt. Whether this is a monster, spirit, or ghost of a malevolent ancestor, Ms.Hemlocke died by the forest, and I think Pyro truly saw what happened, confessed to what he saw and the family keeps it a secret, or he indirectly caused his mother's death. I think it was an accident until we learn more about Pyro, cuz he doesn't seem like a person who would kill his own mother. I also hope the forest represents rich people's hubris, because during the time, hunting was primarily done by elites. Ms.Hemlocke could've been killed by the forest for extortion, blackmail, tax evasion, whatever crimes rich people do that they can get away with because they have the money. The forest could be taking matters into its own hands. Ms.Hemlocke possibly could've done nothing but died because of the sins of her family, and a greater torture than death is being alone.
The last thing I want to add, and that no one talks about is the shipment. This is a family of rich people in a manor who hunt. Are they importing something? Then what is it? If they are exporting something then not only are they sending something out but doing so in what seems like a family home, business would've been take elsewhere. It could very well be some items that Ms.Hemlock owned and they are simply selling it. Not enough evidence has been shown, my only prediction is a problem is going to occur with the shipment because of Mystycat's death. Maybe they can't get it out or in in time.
Anyway, see you at episode 2!

    • @1stfedorafish763
      @1stfedorafish763 16 годин тому

      First, Pyro,
He has a lot more arguments with his father in ep2. He mainly complains of his father being insensitive and cruel. This sheds more light on the family dynamic, which is not good. Its clear Zombie is isolated and copes by blocking his emotions from the world. Pyro copes in the complete opposite, and Zam is similar to his father, being self-centered. I think this only proves that Pyro is suffering from some trauma of the past, and not just that, the entire family. The death of Mysty almost being the breaking point that begins to show the secrets of the hemlockes, perhaps because it was a reminder of Ms. Hemlockes death.
Another thing is that I think Pyro is gay. There really is not a lot of evidence for it, however it is a feeling I get about him. Whether this effects his trauma (dead partner), or is just a conflict against his heteronormative father is unknown. This is like the 1920's and homosexuality was illegal in Britain. It could be the secret that haunts Pyro, and what gives him such resentment over his father, who wishes a continued dynasty.
      Second of all: The woods
There was a person in the woods, and I believe them to be some voice/hand to the forest spirit. The person is a servant at Whitepine, and so could be part of some secret organization. Anyway you put it, that person who was humming in the woods is part of the monster in the forest. We just need more to create a better theory. Right now, I believe this is a person haunted by the woods, like Ivory or Pyro, but actually dares to go into the woods.
That is really all I have to say here. I made a comment about Ep2 on another video, here's the link.

Something I haven't seen mentioned yet is the possible religious undertones. The setting of the story so far seems a lot less modern than now, so naturally it would feel like that, but there are a few things throughout the episode that further the idea:
There are hidden crosses in the architecture EVERYWHERE. The windows, the closets, even wall decor. If you look at one scene showcasing the fountain (17:52 in the og vid), it looks like both a cross and an upside-down cross connected as one. There are plenty of other scenes where we see reverse crosses as well.
Unrelated to the crosses but still on the theme of religious ideals/practices, in the very beginning of the episode (4:16 in the og vid), Clown and Minute talk about "whip[ping] her into shape" if she has a hard time adapting to her work at Whitepine.
Another detail I noticed: The architecture is very symmetrical, at least the shots we see of it. Everything seems to bee exact on either side, and often we see Ivory placed directly in the middle of the symmetry, and directly in the middle of the screen as well.
Also something else, Ivory is commonly called Ivy instead. Maybe this has something to do with the forest/nature, like somebody commented on the original video, but I like to think maybe it connects her to Whitepine even more. Ivory is both a thing (animal horn thingy, look it up) and a color, a shade of White. Pine is a tree or tree needle wtvr. Ivory Ivy has the same meanings as White Pine, so maybe that could be something.

In that “blank shot”, there is actually a person running out the right exit, and is wearing all black so we couldn’t see who it was. I have a suggestion, vampires.
1 this would both fit with the monster theory, and would explain the bite marks.
2 PyroScythe's character is clearly suffering from some kind of illness, given the time period, genre, plus symptoms we see (coughing, sputtering, etc) its probably tuberculosis which has been associated with vampirism in the past. More specifically someone with TB was seen as being attacked by a vampire (just look at Dracula).
3 it was common belief that if a person became a vampire the rest of their family would be next (New England Vampire Panic)
4 While im not 100% sure how she would have turned, the lady of the house becoming a vampire is probably something you'd try to keep under wraps.
5 Vampires need to be invited in, however if it is Mrs. Hemlock, it was her house, she could probably get in whenever.
I'll admit I'm not 100% certain how to tie this back to Ivory, maybe the vampire that turned Mrs. Hemlock is part of her backstory in some way. Idk this is just a theory

commenting cause the second i hit "Comment" i thought of more evidence
6 going back to Dracula, the vampire does follow the protag, Johnathan Harker home, so the monster following Ivory also maps on to that pretty well
there was more but i forgot again. overall i don't like how much this theory pulls from Dracula as it was never cited as a point of inspiration, but its the evidence i've got and was fundamental for establishing a lot of vampire lore.

    • @plantlover3741
      @plantlover3741 Місяць тому +10

I FOUND A WAY TO TIE IT TO IVORY its a little weak, but its something. Okay so in classic vampire lore its said a way to distract them is to spill poppy seeds in their path because the vampire will need to count all of them. this behavior kinda reminds me of Ivory's need to take things literally. Am i saying Ivory's a vampire? No, but i think she could possibly be a dhampir or half vampire. basically dhampirs can live mostly like normal people, eating normal food and not getting burned by the sun.
Now i'm not entirely sold on the dhampir thing, but there's a second option.
In Dracula (i know using it again) Dracula can gain control of people by force-feeding them some of his blood. while i don't quite remember the specifics of the control, if Ivory did go through this and somehow escaped, its another way to explain her behavior.
Idk, its a little weak, but its a way to tie everything back to her
I've also got more evidence for Pyro's sickness possibly being vampire related
Mysti asks if he had a bad dream, and he dodges the question. Bad dreams are a common folkloric symptom of vampire attacks
plus when we see him staring out the window, his room looks closer to the forest than the others we've seen so far so if the forest is where they're coming from, he'd be easiest to get to.
(sidenote: idk how this ties in but there's a lot of focus on his writing desk, we'll probably hear something about it in future episodes but it could be related to his mother in some way? maybe it was her desk first?)
There's also the way the camera is pointed, it seems to always be in some kind of corner, specifically either a very high one, or just in a place that would be hard to see from Pyro's pov, almost like the camera is stalking him. Idk could be more evidence for the vampire thing, could just be good cinematography.

perhaps the monster could of been hanging from the ceiling and snatched her up when she was going to check on the family. this would make the puddles of blood and the large bite mark within 20 seconds of her death make sense. that would also be enough time for the monster to scurry away while being less noticeable.

Personally, a theory that I've thought about (and is probably wrong but i think it's just an interesting concept) is if you take a look at the Whitepine OST, all of the songs are trees. This could mean two things - either another foreshadowing about the forest, or a link to characters names. For the foreshadowing of the forest, two of the songs are called mountain ash (One being a reprise) but there is a mountain in the background at the very beginning as well as around the house with trees on it. As well as this, there are birch trees in the forests that are passed while on the train at the beginning of the story. Finally, the last song in the track is called 'Cypress' which when looking up images of these trees, they look almost identical to the ones around the house and basically all the forests. Alternatively, like i said, it could be a reference to certain character's names (although I'm not as sure abt this) the Mountain Ash songs could be referring to Ashswag, who plays another worker who's in the house, and if we're talking about trees in general, there is such thing as Ivory trees.
But that's just something I noticed, but I can't wait until Whitepine 2 releases :D

4:26 i found the framing here SUPERR interesting on my watch. The first shot of the forest and Ivory looking into it frames her as trapped and glaring at a dark forest. That type of framework gave me the impression that the forest is dangerous and ivory is ‘caged in’.
And the next shot with the murder scene, that type of framework would usually be used for someone entering and going through the room. Instead its catching the tail end of someone exiting. Maybe its to hint at something ELSE entering the room/house given thats the entrance? I mean its a longshot but so far any theory is a longshot.

When I first started the episode, and minutetech says "you know what's happening, right?" I figured she was being sent to Whitepine because she was traumatized with nowhere to go, and assumed some of the other staff would be in similar situations
I also kinda assumed that Mystie's body had been PLACED there, maybe violently to explain the postion and blood splatter. That's why no one found her or heard her screams until that moment! Or perhaps that the first, muffled, scream was her's and the second scream was someone finding her

  • @Jair-o1e

    Lots of yapping up ahead:
The time it takes for Mysty to go get coffee for Mr. H, and Mr. H to go outside his room is 40-ish seconds.
The time it takes for Mysty to scream and for people to find her body takes around 40-ish seconds.
This means that whatever or whoever killed her (most likely Mr. H) had gotten away in the time she was doing a daily task.
This hasn’t been fully tested, as doing the research on mobile is much harder than a PC, so I was wondering if someone with a PC could help.
Anyone with a PC: can you see how long it takes for the 2 time ranges take (in seconds). Use arrow keys to check by frames, slow it down, maybe put certain noises (screaming) into a spectrogram to see if anything shows up.
This is a very unique Minecraft storytelling that we are dealing with, so checking things used mostly in ARG’s could help.
I will also be doing more research, obviously nobody has to do this, it’s just something that has caught my interest and I want to have help on this series.

when ivory touches the keys of the piano, the video abruptly cuts to when she's finished playing; and if I'm not wrong, this moment coincides with her not being at lunch. This, I believe, points out to a sort of Doctor Jeckill - Mr Hide characteristic of Ivory, where the second personality is tied to the piano.

  • @zippity_9
    @zippity_9 Місяць тому +5

i personally believe Ms Hemlocke passed away longg before the show. the piano has been moved out of the room it initially belonged in, as Serapter said she "used to" play piano in one of the rooms. i think the servants do know she passed, i just think it was under different circumstances. that or she just doesnt live with the children's father anymore. there are many possibilities of what's happened to her
i do believe there is some sort of beast/monster involved, due to there being 2 screams if you listen closely, one scream could be seeing the beast, then the 2nd being the murdee scream. i believe in the monster/beast because nothing else could get away as quickly as the killer did, there were too many people too quickly, remembering that Ivory was one of the last people to see the deceased

I feel like your theory suits the context behind what's "happening".
Through a news article released on Ivory's community discussions, we learn that a famine or some kind of food shortage is occuring as it states that young men are starving to death while being overworked in a mill. (Sorry if i get technical) But judging the geographical setting of Whitepine, i doubt that crop growth is suitable in the conditions meaning Emberton most likely imports a lot of food. In my eyes, something (like a monster) is terrorizing or preventing majority/all of these imports entering the town. In the same paper we also learn that a professional hunter had disappeared in a hunt. In my eyes, this supports your theory. My other thought is that the hunter deserted the town, but i'm unsure, maybe the hunter knew something.
Lastly, Ivory keeps on watching the forest, its the first thing we are introduced in whitepine. Ivory is constantly scanning the forest which could indicate that she has seen something occur in the thicket.
    Awesome theory!

I know my theory is stupid, but in the last scene of White Pine, i found it weird that the moment Ivory finally got to play the piano, somebody died. And yes im saying the piano might be deadly, considering its ties of being owned and played by Mrs. Hemlock. At first i thought the whole plot of it was the fact that the house was haunted, since it fits the eerie theme of White Pine. But this theory was just my first thought tho, and I just wanted to share it. (Im genuinely tweaking on how good this series is.)
I also have another theory, as you can see for the clips while watching white pine, they usually have a wierd or eerie aura to it, like its foreshadowing the plot of it. Which most of you guys probably know by now.
(You can also see Clown scolding ivory for missing lunchtime, which has a high probability of Ivory being framed or accused of the murder of Mysticat. Considering Ivory is new, and nobody really knows much about her.)

my personal theory is that she, ivory, was in a war of some sort or at least a setting where she had to be disciplined and tough enough to do something until it was completed like Violet in Violet Evergarden. There are a LOT of parallels between Ivory and Violet some of those being: they both struggle with emotions they don't understand, they're an orphan with ambiguous histories, they're socially inept, and they are exceptionally good at working until something is completed without being exhausted afterward.

Vex1n and I have already discussed this a fair bit in DMs but I'd like to corroborate some of the points in the video:
1:01 - I also personally believe that the scream at the end was Mysticat's scream, but could it be possible that the murder was carried out so quickly that the victim didn't have time to scream (instakill)? We saw how mangled the body was. This would support the idea that it was not Mysticat's scream we heard, but rather, a witness's.
1:34 - The first option seems plausible to me. The room in which the murder was carried out doesn't seem to be visited very often (i.e. the one other time we are shown a shot of the room, it is completely empty). The body could very well have sat there for a while before someone found it. To reinforce this point, the peppery texture on the dead body could be an attempt to depict decomposition (a body can begin the decomposition process as early as 24h after death).
3:28 - I don't know if this just happened to be part of the SFX, but this specific part of the forest ambience really seems to support the idea that there is some kind of creature in the woods lol.
5:45 - Regarding why no one is talking about her disappearance, we have NO idea how long it's been since her supposed death (it could be old news by now). In fact, the cobwebs in the basement actually suggest that the piano has gone unused for a very long time. If the piano was being regularly used by an important member of the Hemlock family, would it not make sense to keep the basement in a somewhat clean condition?
I also think that it would be extremely difficult to keep Ms Hemlock's death from the rest of the house, as I'm sure the servants had regular interactions with her back when she was alive and they might begin to question her absence. It's also possible that the rest of family has formulated some kind of coverup for her death in order to reduce panic, as you said.

      3. yup thats the idea im goign for ;D
      4. i assumed the piano was mooved down there, i dont think a hemlocke would play in a basement... and if it was down there for long enough the chords would not sounds that good still.
      5. yeah fair it could be hard but a cover up would make a good plot point

Essays of yapping up ahead: if you want, skip to Conclusion
At the beginning of Whitepine - Ivory is sitting on a spruce wooden bench.
Spruce trees could represent - Birth, strength and resilience, Life and Hope, Protection, Renewal, Wisdom, and Imortality
But they can also symbolize things in religious beliefs - Gaelic Tradition “Protector of all Trees”, Yakuti people of Eurasia believed that Shamans were born from this tree, and Christians believe that a spruce tree is connected to Jesus’ birth.
Now that we have all of that, let’s get started on what they mean.
Birth - new beginning of life - Ivory is finding a job, maybe trying to start over.
Strength and resilience - Someone who can overcome difficult conditions in a fast manner.
Life and Hope - If we believe that Ivory’s trauma is manifesting from the forest to the mansion, then we can say that Ivory is going to have some type of hope to defeat it
Life part = Servants/People or just Ivory
Hope = a light at the end of the tunnel, motivation
Protection and Gaelic Tradition - Maybe Ivory will be able to protect other servants from the monstrous murderer
Renewal - Replacing or repairing something that is worn out, run-down, and/or broken. Similar to restoration
Wisdom - the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgement.
Immortality - Eternal life - Living forever
Shamans (Yakuti people of Eurasia) - mediators of their culture who alleviate (relieve) unrest and unsettled issues, they also bring gifts
Christians and the birth of Jesus - Jesus = a god
Christians = followers of that god
Maybe the forest birthed a monster that is followed like a god
Also Ivory irl is or was heavily religious in Christianity
    Now the theories and speculation:
    (Untested = doing research)
    (Tested = Research completed)
    Untested
The time frame to get to Mystycat’s body was 20 secs, (maybe) what if she died due to how long it takes for her to do a simple task. She was getting Pyro some coffee when he woke up, that one shot felt like 20 secs.
What if the monster killed her or got away in 20 secs due to her bringing coffee to him in 20 secs.
Maybe the “monster” took her speed into a disadvantage for it and killed her first, even tho she has experience speedrunning the making of coffee.
    Tested
The Butler - Ivory asks him if she could go outside, the Butler says “Yeah sure, I’m just a Butler” while walking away and looking back at her. The butler seems off and weird, but this could just be a very big misunderstanding, some people could do things that make them look like another type of person.
For example: I believe (a little bit) the Butler said that so that Ivory doesn’t think she’ll have to ask him every time. (even tho having no knowledge of her existence until after Lunch)
This one doesn’t make sense now that I typed it
    Tested
Pyro is the murderer - he wakes up, vomits, goes back, acts weird, Mysty gets him coffee, puts on fireplace, done.
Pyro’s skin has one fully blue eye, but one almost fully faded out eye. (Ik it could just be his skin, but like he’s a main suspect at this point) This makes me believe that the “monster” is a part of him, controlling him, maybe a parasite. It seems like the parasite is taking control of him on the Right eye - fading out his eye - and only his actual self taking control of the Left eye.
Anyways there’s more, when Sir Raptor (Seraptor) and Ivory go to the Wine Cellar, Sir Raptor trips and falls. They meet Pyro, as Sir Raptor stands up, Pyro stares at him for 5 secs (give or take). Then tells them to go, before anyone else sees them.
Pyro is or could be dangerous when consuming alcohol.
Someone tells us that Pyro is usually chill - so when is he not chill. The only time when this could happen is when he’s drinking, no control of himself, acting violent. But he wasn’t drunk as we see him clearly telling us to “back up”.
People also speculate this is Pre-Attempted Murder. (already planned) He was invited to the Hunt, but wasn’t sure if he’s able to make it, this was prob a bad day for The Hunt to occur as he was going to kill someone or just Mysty in general.
    Tested
The Hunt is not what we think it is.
The Hunt could be killing animals and wildlife out in the forest or at someone else’s residence.
Or just like a book named The World’s Deadliest Game, (I think) The Hunt refers to hunting and killing the servants in the mansion.
    Untested
What if the foreshadowing of the forest is not that something is in there, but it’s something that we want.
The staff and others keep looking out into the forest, even Ivory.
What if Ivory isn’t looking at the forest because of trauma, but because she sees it as a new beginning and living peacefully.
What if the forest is the others freedom, what if the servants and the others are trapped here, due to Clown and the Hemlockes, it’d be crazy. Their only freedom isn’t the mansion, but rather the forest.
Once again this doesn’t make sense, but it’d be a very good plot twist.
    Untested
What if MinuteTech was the murderer - the only time we see him is when transporting things, people, and Ivory to the mansion, maybe he is working with the parasite, seeing it as a god, following it like a Christian to Jesus.
Or minute tech could just be the “monster” and infect everything else.
    Now to the connections:
The spruce forest gave birth to the “monster”
Ivory has trauma, but will become resilient to stop it
Ivory is going to stop the “monster” by having hope/motivation
Ivory is the protector of the servants “Protector of all Trees”
    Trees = Life
    Protector = Guardian
Ivory is going to be “The Guardian of Life”
Ivory is going to restore the mansion in some shape or form
Ivory might have very good knowledge of what the “monster” is due to her not panicking or moving when finding a dead body. Sure she could be in emotional shock, but I believe that there is something more to that.
Maybe some of the servants will see the “monster” as a god and follow its commands to avoid being killed.
Ivory could be a sort of Shaman in this, Ivory could settle or relieve her trauma, but in the end that means she hasn’t gotten rid of it fully.
Conclusion - The word Whitepine and the things around certain characters can mean lots of things
The “monster” could be a full creature or a parasite.

i have a small theory for how exactly mysticat’s murderer seemingly managed to kill her so quickly. first of all, we could just be dealing with some sort of mental cannibalist that took a huge chunk out of mysti’s back, causing her to scream. the murderer then could have just quickly stabbed her and/or pushed her down the stairs, in which both could have killed her. then our little cannibalist could have just ran away from the top of the stairs, because no one was there and quickly changed their clothes and made a circle back to the group. obviously this is just a hypothesis as this could be refuted by the lack of any blood on the stairs or the crime scene being the only connected part between the 1st and 2nd floor

I have a theory that clown- whatever his name is, is somehow involved with whatever is happening in this beautifully CRAFTed masterpiece. When Ivory mentioned the HELP letter he quickly refused to explain what it was about and told Ivory to give it to him. I think that someone out there is in danger and is sending cryptic letters in order for them to successfully send out messages unnoticeably. Unfortunately, clown is a perpetrator and has caught on to these said letters explaining why he was so eager for Ivory to hand him the message, not explaining to her what it was for. Furthermore, it is obvious the he doesn’t like Ivory despite her being so polite and soft spoken and i think it is because out of all the servants in the house, She is the only one who is prone to wander off and explore. Seraptor on the other hand has the same capacity of curiosity but clown disregards this because Seraptor mainly just pokes around here and there, not where clown would be hiding his secrets. Also, in the scene where Ivory just stares at the creepy ass door in the creepy ass hallway that lead to the creepy ass basement, she was met with the butler who was coming from that door. I just find it a bit weird that out of all the servants in the house, that the butler, who should be working near the family was diddly daling around in the basement, assuming that he was in there. I don’t know anything about luxury life but don’t the butlers usually order the servants to fetch something in the basement where barely anyone goes? He couldn’t have been cleaning it cause it’s not his job, and we don’t even see the servants working there. I think that clown and the butler are in kahoots with each other, doing something mischievous with someone else at who knows where sending letters of help, hoping someone in the house will rescue them. And clown is trying to prevent that from happening.

I am certain that the 'spacing out' that Ivory did was her feeling the sense of danger from that forest and the subsequent 'monster' if it exists.

    Also, something to note.
Pyro, the oldest hemlock son, had that scene in the room, where he was staring out the window, up before he normally was, and Mystic was his servant. She asked about him having a nightmare, which leads me to believe that may be a regular occurrence. Nightmares about what? His mothers death perhaps.
And when Mystics body was being found, Pyro was hysterically screaming "nooo, no no why mystics, noo" to the point someone (clown i think) said to "get mr. Hemlock out of here".
There was also that weird pan look scene between ivory and pyro. And why was pyro the first hemlock scene we had? Why is pyro so prominent, and about the hunt in the woods, why isnt it a yes instead of a hesitant maybe that mostly will be a no?

I like this theory very much actually, the murderer being a "monster" and not just someone (among us lol). So i decided to expand a bit because why not.
Note: This is just a theory, literally everything I write can be wrong.
    - Ivory has trauma.
    - She intends to escape it by traveling "very far away".
    - Which is how we get where we are.
    - I don't think that the killer is Ivory, but she most likely has something to do with it.
    - Reason being that Ms Hemlock (let's just call her "lady") died shortly BEFORE Ivory's arrival.
    - And Mysticat died in the end was shortly AFTER ivory's arrival.
    - The piano is somehow cursed or magical at least (remember this because I think it's important).
    - The lady played the piano and she died.
    - Ivory played the piano and someone died.
    - The first thing that comes in mind is that whoever plays the piano dies (most likely incorrect).
    - But Ivory is still alive after playing, which actually makes a lot of sense.
    - Since we are assuming that the murderer is personification of Ivory's trauma, it is believable that the monster would not kill the source of it's existence (Ivory).
    - So "it" just killed random person I guess.
If the monster theory is correct then I think at least some of these might be valid, but wait, we can go even deeper.
    - Ivory has an alter-ego named "Ebony" (Ebony appears in the older videos and is basically Ivory but with darker colors, she might not be linked to this story at all, but I just feel like it!).
    - Ebony is like the dark side of Ivory, similarly to Anakin and Vader.
    - Ebony wants Ivory to be more Evil, or better word would be Selfish. Since Ivory has a trauma (which likely includes violence), her imagination created Ebony to guide her and make sure she survives.
    - You know where I'm going with this, The "monster" is actually Ebony.
    - Ebony only exists within Ivory's imagination.
    - Remember when I told you to remember that the piano part is important?
    - I think that playing the piano allows Ebony to temporarily leave Ivory's imagination and invade the physical world.
    - The lady's death is seemingly linked with FOREST.
    - The first time we see Ebony is in the FOREST.
    - The fences disappearing is like Ebony partially invading Ivory's consciousness.
    - With that, Ivory is not completely in control of herself, she is partially influenced by her dark side.
    - Otherwise why would a complete introvert invade clown's conversation and ask for permission to play the piano out of nowhere.
    - Ivory still tries to save Mysticat even though she is mostly controlled by Ebony.
    - She does this by saying H-onours E-mberton L-iberatarian P-arty, spelling "HELP".
    - Ivory would straight up tell Clown that "somebody is about to get murdered" but she sticks with barely saying "HELP" because once again, Ebony is mostly in control.
    - The lady played the piano whenever she wanted and Ebony can't just be like "I can be free whenever some lady feels like playing a piano".
    - So she kills the lady during one of her piano sessions and now that the owner of the piano is gone, she influences Ivory into playing it, ultimately appearing in the physical world whenever she wishes.

my theory on what the future story would cover:
    -the family background
-likely Ivory (main character) becoming the main suspect cause she is the newest + obviously coincidence death (80% sure)
    -the forest
    -the basement
    -Ivory's background (not likely)

    Sounds plausible...
Many have said that the scene where we look through the flower garden gate and a noise can be heard sounds like a monster calling out for something. But imho it's more like a hunting horn, especially since the two brothers were talking about going to hunt soon. So i was still a bit torn on the monster idea, but you brought up some other interesting facts...
In the end i still feel like we are missing too much information to get to a believable conclusion just only from the first episode, but nice video! :)

I’d like to point out how they shoot some scenes as well, almost as if we are looking from another persons perspective, hiding, unseen or like a cctv cams view. Shots that feel like we are stalking as we watch characters interact with each other and then being left alone to sit in a dull silence.
Maybe it’s just how they shot the scenes, but some really do feel like we are someone watching, staring, intruding almost.

I think that Mrs Hemlock was turned into a vampire before she died and Ivory was a "vampire hunter" before she came because of a trauma That's maybe also the reason why only Ivory got the strange feeling in the forest scene.Other than that, minute tech also said in the start of the video that Ivory had gone through an "event" that made her whats she is now,shy-quiet-too following to orders.I think Ivory played the piano which was linked to Mrs Hemlock soul and woke her up to k#ll. Btw,at the satrt like 00.01 of the video, you can hear some weird sounds coming from the forest. This is my theory

@@VEX1NS I think that’s definitely a fair point, and definitely less important, but I still want to explain it somehow. I am definitely hoping that the plot goes into a more self-reflective path into Ivory’s character like you suggested, though.
I don’t I understand why the monster would’ve killed Mrs. Hemlock, especially if it is meant to be representing Ivory’s trauma. From the interactions the Hemlocks have during their meals, it doesn’t seem like Mrs. Hemlock died within the time since Ivory arrived at the mansion. I think it would have been more obvious that something had happened to her in the forest if it had just happened, whereas the characters seem to have grasped the situation more fully than they could’ve in a single day.
If we are assuming that the monster is meant to embody Ivory’s trauma, or as something that is following her from wherever she is coming from, how could it have killed Mrs. Hemlock? I suck at theorycrafting, but I’ll give my explanation. Please let me know if I missed something important
I’m going full into the “monster is her past trauma following her” theory. In that case, the monster would know Ivory’s plan to try and escape her past. That would be the only way it could be responsible for the death of Mrs. Hemlock, with it having traveled to the mansion before Ivory could organize herself. How it could have gotten there before her, I don’t know. That’s all my brain can cook up right now, what do you think?

And at 9:33 I remember in the Discord server, there was talk of a world download called 0 that has a book signed by Ivory with someone finding her, What i believe is she was found in the forest by minutetech and was taken into the mansion, That would explain clownpeirce not readdy for what she would be like, I believe it was described as she looked like she was attacked, I believe she was attacked in the forest, the monster realized she didn't die, followed her to the train. Got off a bit and attacked Mr.'s hemlock while they were hunting. And then the monster found ivory again and lurked in the forest, sneaking in and killing mysticat. then fleeing by afternoon

Rewatched the scene a couple times i definitely can hear a scream that cuts off then the big scream happens after. Almost like mysticat tried to scream but died before they could fully scream. And the second scream is someone maybe finding the body. If this js true this leans even closer to the theory of something in the forest like a beast killing them because thats a VERY short time. Even shorter then the 20 seconds.
If im right what ever this thing is kills FAST making it extremely dangerous because it could just instant kill at this point then disappear

  • @star-wood

8:22 i just had a mini idea what if since the family likes hunting they now use it as code? Like "hunting" is just another way of saying to go out and to try to find their mother/wifes body, cause i think that the monster possibly took mrs. Hemlock and thats also part of the reason that the family doesn't tell their servant's since they might try to help find mrs. Hemlock but since they aren't used to the woods it wouldn't be good either.
I also think the monster is probably a curse of some kind; cause you think at least the hemlock children would try to leave even one but no one does. So i think they are kinda forced to live in this mansion. Thats just the small amount of vibes i get from the hemlock characters. .-.

    - On the tragic side of things, what if the mother got lost, and one of the kids killed her while hunting, thinking she was a monster, or a deer, or something else
    - On the other side of things, what if these regular “hunts” are the family searching for the mother’s killer? As in, they’re *hunting* the monster
Or, if we wanna delve into cheesy 2000s horror movies, what if “the hunt” is a game rich people play, where they kill their servants

i love how you established the part abt the monster, you made it make sense :D
however i have a few points that MIGHT disprove some parts of your theory (im totally up for a debate btw)
    1. we've already somehow established that mysticat probably knew something more due to how casually they conversed with pyro about the nightmare. if mysticats killer was a person, maybe someone who they knew and liked, they might not have screamed at all due to shock or maybe they expected it and didnt want the killer to be found. still it would be quite hard to kill in a hallway where someone is passing by every few seconds.
    2. the way the body lies on the ground makes it look like it fell from somewhere, which leads to two possibilities. it mightve fallen from the top of the stairs with the killer escaping to the upper floors. or it fell directly from the ceiling which would be possible if there was some sort of a hole. sometimes old houses have holes in ceilings to hang a chandelier. thats a reach though since we have no way to tell how the ceiling looks like or if theres any hole at all
these both explain how the scream we heard mightve been the "found" scream rather than the "murder" scream.
another thing im wondering about is why did nobody rush to mysti's aid right away when they found them ? sure, shock is a powerful factor but someone as practical as clown (for example) mustve had the first instinct to check the damage right away. especially if they died 20 seconds ago, the body wouldve still been pretty fresh by that point. this unfortunately isnt much as it can be easily disregarded if that scene simply wasnt put there for a dramatic effect.
about the death of one of the people in the manor (mrs hamlock), ivory couldve been told but we werent shown that as viewers. its just a possibility as i have no idea what route the creators are going to take with the concept.
last thing, i don't think there will be a straight up monster in the story. its just a feeling so it probably doesnt count as much but it just doesnt fit in with the aesthetic of the story so far. lets not forget that every single family member had a motive to kill mysti (if they knew something, which they probably did). what motive would the monster have ? to just be scary ? how would such monster even get inside a manor to a hallway where so many people walk by, unnoticed ? if it was big enough to leave that huge maybe bite mark ? i feel like the monster will just be a concept more than anything else. these are just some of my thoughts sorry if its chaotic i will try to respond to replies so pls share your opinion

Honestly, I think this whole story is going to end up being a story about trauma. Whether it be Ivory’s, the family’s, or maybe even the collective traumas of everyone in the household. Ivory (the creator) herself seems to be a very masterful storyteller who is capable of implementing rich and emotional undercurrents into her work. Heck, even with just the first episode of Whitepine we can see that. I also don’t think it’ll be a very stereotypical story either, but other than that I don’t have many ideas of how the story will go, I’m just very excited to see how Ivory decides to take things.
