I think the incredible thing is that what distinguishes this series from most popular MInecraft Machinimas (aside from a good story) is that Whitepine is actually shot and directed like a film or high budget tv show. If you had told me that Whitepine was a prolific/award winning film maker's attempt at telling a story using Minecraft as a medium, I would believe you.
Everyone always asks where all the good filmmakers in Hollywood have gone, and THIS is where. The generation of creative visionaries that would've produced this generation's great films and shows saw what a racket the industry was and decided to do things their own way, use UA-cam to their fullest benefit.
And as a Sound Designer, myself, I'd always thought Minecraft Machinimas could've used sound greatly to their advantage, because if you're limited visually by the constraints of the game, you need to use what you have. And boom, there it is! Someone using immaculate sound design to its fullest extent to make the world of the story just come alive.
I'm so glad I was able to find Whitepine with no previous attachment to Ivory or any of the other UA-camrs involved in the production, UA-cam's Algorithm really cooked with that recommendation. I just lament that I have to wait for each new episode.
Honestly this series came out at the perfect time, I am taking prerequisite film classes for my degree, I wasn’t all that in to cinematography but this hit my nostalgia in all the right ways and seeing it from this angle makes me appreciate it more

great video. i know theres a lot of comments like this, but raise ur mic volume and try to keep it at a consistent distance because it keeps changing from time to time.

I am a member of the prison community, have been for a couple years. We arent really fond of this series due to what has happened in the past. No, we did not "bully" or "harass" her. If you had joined servers at that time, you would know that she actually harassed the prison builders more. This includes making fun of amateur escapists, and most people who criticized her. We are not aware if she was doxxed, but if she was, I truly apologize and I cannot imagine the fear that would have caused. I enjoy Ivory's films, she inspired me to continue filmmaking and to do Minecraft prison making. I am sick of her lying about the community and making us all seem like fucking devils.

I agree that she does make you out to be worse than you are, but I do believe she was doxxed multiple times by more hostile community members. To be fair to her, it’s become an instinct to her and to other larger creators to let the hate overwhelm the kindness, but I couldn’t imagine the fear that comes with being doxxed, especially at that level of popularity. Honestly, I’m glad that series is over, because it did NOT do anything good for either party, and both seem to be doing well now without the other.

It was most likely a domino effect, or maybe it could be from stress
From what she’s said her family didn’t sound that lovely, wouldn’t be surprised if the way she acted was a result of bad parents, which caused her to get the same amount of hate back
People don’t seem to realize how they sound online, they can’t put tone into their words like they do in real life, people can view some messages as insults when they’re jokes or jokes when they’re insults
The Minecraft community can get very toxic at times, so people acting like the way she described the prison community is very likely, there’s also not much separation between the good and bad people
