Usher is including this remix on his own upcoming album and I've heard that this version is going to get radio play (we'll see how much). What an honour for JK to have this song included in Usher's album... it definitely deserves a Grammy for best duo/group performance.
Hands down agree 100% . 🔥👠💃🕺🏻🎤❤️. Usher’s version will do well but JK and Usher’s version together is Collaboration made to last like Iconic songs and artists ❤️👠💃🔥❤️. N.Y Nurse , Jennifer 💕
@LouThunderBomb , just joined your channel!!!! Love Usher, grew up listening to his music ( his parents influenced Usher Raymond IV by exposing him to Gospel, Jazz ( RB /Pop)!!! I know you know, he was totally INTO the late Michael Jackson “ his main attraction towards MJ was obviously his singing and dancing “…. I’ve seen Usher in concert many times and he is SO TALENTED. Jung Kook was able to sing with Usher “ his mentor on his own “!! This collaboration is FIRE between the singing and choreography. Godspeed Jung Kook in your Country’s mandatory Military Service ( Army). He will be back in 2025 . Usher has album coming out in February and will be performing at Superbowl halftime February 11th . Btw ,Usher has been preforming in Las Vegas for several years. I can’t wait to see Usher and Jung Kook preforming “‘Standing Next to You, Usher Remix “ together. Thank you for your reaction!!! N.Y Nurse , Jennifer ❤️🔥👠💃🕺🏻🎤🎶❤️🔥
Jungkook duality is insane. for me it depend on his expression, sometime his face looks like a high schooler (he has baby face for sure) and sometime looks super manly and mature. also his hair style and make up too. most of the time he will look older when he show his forehead
Indeed….except that YT also messes with BTS algo….seen the view count manipulation in front of my very eyes in data live with Jimin’s like crazy…JHope’s collab with JCole….smdh……industry and their machines are scared for sure….cnt hv that people power/fan-controlled promo blueprint working
Dang, he is only 45!?!?! I completely forgot that he started his career as a teenager. He's been around so long, I thought he was in his 50's already. Some of my favorite stuff with him was the tracks he did with lil jon.
JK performed a surprise concert on the TSX stage in Times Square on Nov. 9, 2023 in NYC. If you haven’t seen it, the stage is built right into the giant LCD screen. There was only a 30 minute announcement that he was going to perform and the place was packed. It’s a really great set from his new album - only five songs I believe. Here’s the link if you want to react to it or watch it yourself: ua-cam.com/users/livegeHuX7E3NX8?si=uNUsSnqUvLQFZPzZ
I agree if the original release had Usher perhaps the track would have performed better on Billboard. However, if you look at most of the top songs this week, they are Christmas tunes. Standing Next to You remarkably sits at number 72. As much as JK deserved to not simply release a third collaboration to have his talents recognized, I think the real reason he is being disregarded is mostly for political reasons. With all of BTS entering the military, the American Music Industry feels ARMY's power has been weakened and they can without much background noise do what they do best, promote music that makes them money. The pace of solo view counts in this solo era may actually show some amount of ARMY splintering or disengagement despite BTS releasing some of their best work. So a bigger Usher pop might have been cosmetically wonderful, but we need to celebrate the quality as it is released. Those committed to BTS know we have seven bona fide artists with star quality no matter the reduction in milestones and accolades.
@EverRoxas Not sure what you are getting at? BTS busted down doors in Korea after being blocked out of charts and events by a Big 3 music corporation/Korean media alliance which anticompetitively promoted Big 3 artists while putting up roadblocks against smaller corporation artists. Pretending the American Music acts differently is entertaining a fiction. BTS did not need validation then and does not need validation now, as nice as it feels. They just like in Korea will gain respect by hard work and quality. Respect is the word. BTS has fought the battles from being dirt poor to monetizing what now is Korea's most powerful music corporation, one which now has been buying American assets such as Scooter Braun's stable of artists. So validation no. They are coming no matter what. This is not Gangnam Style. The American Music Industry which is a semi-corrupt cabal which pays for radio spins and gives away cd's with merch purchases to get charting results will get a temporary reprieve as BTS is put on simmer during military enlistment. Afterwards, they will begrudgingly give respect when BTS and HYBE, their corporation, will stake a large swath of territory on American Music Industry land. Respect is the word, not validation. The American Music Industry never has respected anything Asian, but those days are numbered.
I think it's because they refuse to pay the radio stations money to play the songs, stupid payola garbage. I'm so happy that BTS can sill thrive in an industry as corrupt as the music industry. Just goes to show you that amazing talent will always win out in the end.
Not validation but to not be aired on stations even though they 100% deserve to be, isn't right. There are a lot of oblivious people like me that had no exposure to JK and BTS and when you finally listen to their music and watch their videos it just makes no dang sense that the boys were not being heavily played on the radio stations. I missed out on 11 years of awesome music because of the crooked system and now I'm playing catch up. Just venting lol
Actually it's not that long to wait. RM, Jimin, V and JK said that they have prepared a lot of contents for army. Jin will complete his service in June2024 so we can expect an album from him. After that, j-hope will come back Oct2024. The other 5 members will complete their service by June2025.
18 months is so looooooooong XD lol. I'm looking forward to all the content they have prepared for us until the boys are back. Thank you for watching Has.
Fortunately the time for return will come sooner than you think because it's not 2 years It's actually 18 months. It sounds long but hopefully it'll go by in a flash
FYI, Jungkook’s name is never shortened to “Jung”. I know it’s confusing because his stage name is written as “Jung Kook” and in the west, there are many interviewers that will refer to him as Jung thinking that Kook is his surname. Think of his name as Jungkook and the shortened version is JK. It really is a lot when you first get into BTS. You have their stage names, figuring out the pronunciation, their real names, then the nicknames! Not to mention alter egos like Agust D! I’m sure someone will have suggested it before, but there is a great fan made video that many first timers and reactors will watch. It’s A Guide to the BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari. It’s long, but ARMY will watch all the way through. In fact, they will tell you to pause when you want to comment so that you don’t miss anything. It really is a very good video to get a sense of the group’s beginnings and each member. It has over 2 million views. Some reactors will split it into two parts, but most will watch the whole thing at once. Here’s the link: ua-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/v-deo.htmlsi=8fk0TQkJH_QBhuwR
I second this! You should definitely react to 'Guide To The Bangtan 7'. ARMY will definitely watch a longer video. So far you've just scratched the surface of BTS, I think getting an overview of the group and their story would be really helpful before you do future reactions.
Me too, I think he is looking more mature (already in the original MV of this song) . I've seen (and still watch) stuff from their early years and I always thought that he looked so "little" . But he sure is growing up. He doesn't like it when ARMY'S say he is cute! I'm sure that's why his song collaborations where more 'adult' . He doesn't stops to tell us that he is all grown up.
I think someone in the comments told me that it's the haircut for the military, it's definitely a more conservative hair style which I think adds to making him look more mature than I have seen in previous videos.
@@LouThunderBomb no,he was cutting his long hair a little shorter every other month for some time now. To go to the military they all ' shave ' their head! Most of the new recruits only have 2 to 5 mm of hair left! Same for the last 4 members of BTS !
Usher is doing the superbowl halftime show and his next albumn comes out right after and then he is putting standing next to you on that albumn so it bill get big he posted on hus instragran that jk is going to take over the music industry
I know this has been mentioned before but I always very quickly misread your channel name as one of BTS's songs "Louder Than Bombs" lol It's a fan favorite even though they've never performed it live and there's no MV. I'll see if I can add the link to a good lyrics video in my replies. I have trouble when trying to add it to an original comment. BTW, BTS had no idea that it was a favorite of ARMY until the record label took a poll for one of their game episodes (Run BTS) and were told that the song came out on top.
I really liked it. Maybe it there was a bit of nostalgia in it for me as I was an Usher fan in my younger days. I hope I didn't try to compare the two, I can't remember if I did lol.
