Usher has been in the game 30yrs. His first album "Usher" came out in 1994 and at 45yrs old still sounding and dancing this good is simply amazing. You know JK was honored to colab with one of the greatest and Usher was honored and had so much admiration and respect for JK and his amazing talent. Usher hitting us with is iconic "chain Spin" made this MV a classic.😊💜💜
You are spot on. Jungkook wasn't sure that he could bring his same level of excellence to a stage without the other members, but he was determined to try and at the highest caliber. My guy delivered, beyond his wildest dreams. We saw his confidence grow with every performance. There's no going back. As RM & Suga already told him, JK is a rockstar. Once BTS regroups, he will be a changed artist. Before we watched beast mode JK on stage, going forward he will be JK the Legend. People have begun to understand what individual legends actually bring to the table. Many dismiss it, but that won't change things. JK is working with legends because they know he's one of them. He will continue working to perfect his talents and let destiny do the rest.
Same, same feelings. It makes me so happy when these dream come true moments happen, just like J Hope being able to work with his idol J Cole. I love when the previous generation give props to the new (recognition of real talent) instead of throwing any hate. These new gen of artists, real ones, look up to previous gen and only have respect for them hence they do what they do, from the influence. So it’s nice when you see the respect is reciprocated. BTS no secret who their idols are that influenced them and they even pay tribute to them. It’s nice to see professional be professionals. Look at this beautiful work that happens when people love music first before egos and such.
Definitely one of the biggest things that made me really like BTS when I started to learn more about them was the fact that (as you mentioned) they pay clear homage to those that came before them and you can tell that they are true students of the music industry both past and present!
***** These 2 Actually Have a Lot in Common. JUNGKOOK has been Lead Singer of BTS Since He was 15. And USHER Started His Career at 13 When He WON "STAR SEARCH" & then was Signed by BABY FACE.
Usher nailed it!!! 🤩 You need to watch it again and pay attention to the backup dancers! They do some funny moves at different times especially at the beginning! You will miss it because the eyes are focused on our JK, but they went off track on this!😁😂😁 Also, please keep all seven in your prayers that they come back to us safely! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Honestly you’re right! I probably do need to go back and watch again bc I like his background dancers a lot but it’s HARDDD to keep eyes off of JUNGKOOK😭
Thank you for the great reaction 💜. I agree with you about music bec I'm 61 years old and seeing Usher and JK collaborating with one another in their legendary ways is just memorable for me 😊. If you haven't yet seen another BTS member pay homage to one of their other idols, check out JHope's collab with JCole on On the the Street. It's JHope's solo song too before his enlistment, just like JK.
I actually have a reaction to J-hope and J cole!! it was definitely equally beautiful just knowing the reverence that J hope has for Cole! Beautiful stuff!
BTS are super humble. they respect everyone. and even with other legends they give them the respect they are due. and all BTS members killed their solo albums. they are all different and had different goals. but together they are stronger. when they return together they all going to kill it as 7
@@infinitelockeI can’t wait either. They have always incorporated their personal experiences/emotions/knowledge into their music so the amount of possibilities for what they can create as a group with all they have learned & grown individually (as soloists and as regular citizens serving their country) is mind boggling. Not to mention all the new connections they have made with artists and music professionals across a variety of genres.
71 year old BTS Army here. This track is totally late 70s, early 80's Retro disco funk and was announced as a subtle homage to MJ. This is his third mega hit after "Seven Feat Latto" and "3D Feat Jack Harlow". All are from his first solo album "GOLDEN" and just so you know, none of JK's solo releases have anything to do with Kpop other than JK is S. Korean. All of JK's solo releases including his just released album "Golden" are all in English. There are no S. Korean songwriters, producers, recording studios or MV shooting directors or locations, etc. He is blowing past Kpop and jumping head first into the American pop market. He is using American Grammy Award winning songwriters, producers, recording in the U.S. and filming at mostly U.S. locations such as Universal Studios in Hollywood. The original MV track, however, is filmed at an abandoned power plant in Budapest, Hungary. The director is a very famous Ukrainian director who has directed for Harry Styles and many others. This Official Usher remix Performance Video of "Standing Next to You" is filmed in L.A. His self professed dream of being a giant pop star has clearly took off in a big way. BTW, there are now at least 3 live performances. iHeart Radio, Jimmy Fallon Show, The Today Show, and there is a KILLER Official Choreo Version. He recently performed 5 songs at the TSX stage in Times Square, NYC. Only the third artist to ever been invited to perform there besides Post Malone and PDiddy. The Usher Remix Performance Video of this song is ICONIC and a dream come true for JK. JK's solo achievements are the biggest of the BTS group. ALL of BTS members are in the military now for 18 months as of Dec.12 including Jung Kook. They will reunite as BTS in 2025. JK's solo album "Golden" is over to 2 billion streams now since Nov. 2. FYI, the American team of Grammy winner Andrew Watt and Cirkut wrote and produced this song and it was recorded in Watt's studio in L.A. They also wrote and produced his first mega hit "SEVEN Feat Latto". His solo album "Golden" is over 2 billion streams since it dropped on Nov. 2nd. Credited on his album besides Andrew Watt, John Bellion, and Canadian Cirkut is Shawn Mendes for "Hate You" and Ed Sheeran for "Yes or No". Ed Sheeran also plays guitar on the track. There are several other notable collabs on the album. Thank you for your interesting reaction! 💜
appreciate all of the info you provided! I definitely consider JK in his international Pop Star mode! he has captivated tons of people across the globe and I honestly love to see it!
I knew this would be in your wheelhouse. I like you enjoy seeing my kpop artists working with western artists and holding their own. I heard the 3D remix with Justin Timberlake and it was hard to tell who was singing.
Jk is becoming real legendary. I mean, BTS is huge, but not pop legendary yet. I know its not fairs, but facts are facts. Im not solo stand at all ,im so 0t7 that i don't have an utt , i have 3 , but JK is HYBE chosen one.
JK cited Usher as one of his inspirations (the other two were Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber). So glad he got to work with such a legend before enlisting. Thanks for your love for both artists.
Tina Turner came back in the 80's in her 40's Patti LaBelle had her first number 1 hit in the 80's in her 40's. So Usher being 45 isn't close to being old!!!
I am the same as you. I'm a 51 year old, white, lifelong fan of Michael Jackson, every amazing entertainer through the years, Usher, and BTS ARMY for 6 years thanks to my daughter....and nothing makes me happier, more emotional & fulfilled, and full of love & respect and just sheer joy & happiness than seeing generations, races, cultures, you name it, honoring one another and accomplishing their own spotlights, and coming together united by their love of music, singing, dancing, fashion, and sports! Makes my heart sing every time! 😊❤ Absolutely love your reaction to this! I'm a happy subscriber now!
Welcome to the channel! I appreciate your support🫶🏾and literally things like this are my FAVORITE in the world. Seeing the mutual love and respect for each other these 2 have is heartwarming
What's crazy is usher is dancing young michael jackson style while Jungkook is dancing michael jackson in his latter years. The irony. Anyway, keep grinding. Looking out for your next moves.

Killed it X 2
One of the best things I’ve Seen all year😭
Loved your reaction. And “legends” don’t fade 👌👌👌
Usher has been in the industry since the early 90s. It sounds weird but that was damn near 30 years ago now 💀
That’s absolutely insane😭he’s been in the industry almost as long as JK has been born.

This awesome collaboration is legendary! I Love they both were able to do this performance and still be themselves. So Beautiful!
They executed as only the best of the best can! beautiful indeed!

Yes, a mutual love & respect 🙏💜
Usher is amazing. This was such a great collaboration. I wish we could have seen them do this on stage in front of an audience. Maybe one day 💜
Hoping for One day!!! Also hope Jimin gets his chance to stand next to usher given how much we know he loves him as well!!
Did you watch the tiny desk
Not yet!
You should. It’s a vibe

Sadly you won’t see jungkook or in general bts anymore until minimum 2025 as all of them are in mandatory military enlistment
Definitely sad but all we can do is pray and wait for their safe return and support them throughout!

Are you going to react to "Closer than This" by Jimin? It's for the fans (ARMY).
No offense but i liked the original mv better
That’s fair
