Mr. Wes, you're indeed a great teacher. Your lessons are never unintelligible. You are very articulate and emphatic while explaining things. Today I found out another quality of you that you are not a glib as you explained the claim of making your learners 'super genius'. We may/may not be super genius but you really are. BTW I m not being hyperbolic at all. 😊

Thank you Wes. That was a hell of a lesson. I did really enjoy watching the video.
So, If you don't mind, I wanna make some examples with some of these adjectives.
When the seller was talking about the product that he sells, he was talking glibly. That
    sounded a little bit hyperbolic.
Doctors' prescriptions are most of the time unintelligible.
I'm pretty emphatic about all stuff. It sounds sometimes so bothering for my audience, and even me. Every time I try to talk about something, I seem a little bit verbose.
Bill gates is an inevator and visionary. He's also prescient and a philanthropist.

Great video! Thanks for sharing it! However, I definitely don’t feel like a genius now! 😅
But I did learn some new vocabulary, which is the most important thing in this case.
The words I didn’t know before are “flippant” and “glib”. As for “prescient”, although I knew it’s meaning, I had never used it myself.
    Kind regards,
    Anna

I learned a few new adjectives today and the rest of these words are located in my passive vocabulary - as I don't use them, they linger on the border of forgetting. Thanks for bringing these back!

    1. hyperbolic ~ if someone is hyperbolic, they tend to exaggerate things as way bigger than reality (for example, tiny dogs with big barks,) ( i am hungry I could eat a horse) but in real You wouldn't be able to eat a horse )
    2. flippant ~ not showing a serious and respectful attitude ( stop being flippant. we have a serious problem to discuss ) (student's flippant attitude towards teacher became the reason to expel him from university )
    3. articulate ~ a person who can express his feeling and thoughts very clearly and effectively ( she is articulate to deliver her thoughts to the people)
    4. prescient ~ knowledge of something that going to happen in the future it could be an event or anything ( The prescient economist was one of the few to see the financial collapse coming.)
    5. emphatic ~ trying to make an opinion clear because we have strong feelings about it ( Maryam"s mother was so emphatic when she admonish her not to come home late again )(I am emphatic about learning new vocabulary every day )
    6. glib ~ someone who speaks very confidently but in reality, he is not sincere or loyal ( politicians are glib speakers )
    7. unintelligible ~ something that is not able to understand could be an announcement or a statement or the lyrics of a song (the doctor's writing is unintelligible )
    8. rhetorical ~ a question that's asked merely for effect with no answer expected. ( i am a big fool) ( How could I be so stupid?)
    9. defamatory ~ damaging someone's good reputation with your bad remarks (the president's defamatory remarks startled us )
    10. verbose ~ a person who uses way to words to express something or talks a lot. saying more what is needed ( i expressed everything clearly, I wonder many peoples thought that I am verbose )

Thanks for your comment. I believe you can take a 7-day free trial with Lingoda if you want to see if it's the right match for you. Also, I'll be restarting my speaking course (probably in April), so you can stay tuned for more information about that. 👍
