      Remove stock exhaust resonator back, swapped in mk6 GTI exhaust,including resonator, back. It drones annoyingly and sounds tin-can without the resonator.

    8500RPM? 🤔 Do you have a custom tune from IE or something? I'm stage 2 IE and mine hits the limiter at 7200, and all the documentation online got the stage 2 IE tune says 7200

    how do you feel about having done this tune some months later? i have a stock 2.5 vw rabbit manual, only mod i did was a straight pipe after cat. i have an 07 which i believe is 150 hp from factory. i dont know much about tuning, ive done some wrenching on my car though. my car is well maintained, but worried the tune will break my engine. i have 242k kms on the odometer.

      @AlanSutton  Рік тому +4

      The tune is a game changer. Worth every penny and is the best bang for the buck mod for the platform. It really transforms it from an eco-box to a performance car. I have a tuned Golf R as well but I think a properly setup Rabbit 2.5 can be just as fun to drive.

      @@AlanSutton thank you! would you have any recommendation as well for a coilover kit or think i can get away with a cup kit (h&r)? im running 17" wheels, i would like the car lowered tasstefully but not too much. thank you!!!

      @@stringsnare springs will work if your goal is aesthetics and to lower the center of gravity. I needed coilovers for the preload adjustability as platform is corner balance sensitive.

    What's your MPG look like now? Thinking of getting one to replace a tuned BMW that I have that's way too unreliable for me to want to bother with.

      Mpg is not great, mostly due to the way I drive it. I have a TDI sportwagon for economy driving.
