    This 1950 color film, issued by the Belgian Government Information Center of New York City and released as part of the Films of the Nations series, takes a travelogue view of Brussels, Ghent, Bruges, and other Belgian cities’ historic architecture and national export industries during the post-World War II era (21:01). It is narrated by Peter Allen and produced by DPM Productions, and directed by Maurice T. Groen. The film served both an educational function and serves as a tourist promo piece.

    When I think of Belgium I think of the brewing industry. Why no mention of this?

    "Could it be the influence of American soldiers that made ice cream so popular in Belgium". Yeah for sure: ice cream was never popular with Belgians until they were influenced by American soldiers.

      I would like to contradict you but i'm going to visit brugge and gent this year out of cheapness ^^' i would encourage anyone visiting Western Europe to consider Belgium though, we have incredible variety, great food and lots of booze
