FAIR USE**
Copyright Disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research.
Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing.
Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use.
FAIR USE DEFINITION:
(Source: en.wikipedia.or...)
Fair use is a doctrine in the United States copyright law that allows limited use of copyrighted material without requiring permission from the rights holders, such as for commentary, criticism, news reporting, research, teaching or scholarship. It provides for the legal, non-licensed citation or incorporation of copyrighted material in another author’s work under a four-factor balancing test. The term “fair use” originated in the United States. A similar principle, fair dealing, exists in some other common law jurisdictions. Civil law jurisdictions have other limitations and exceptions to copyright.
U.S. COPYRIGHT OFFICE- FAIR USE DEFINITION
(Source: www.copyright.g...)
One of the rights accorded to the owner of copyright is the right to reproduce or to authorize others to reproduce the work in copies or phonorecords. This right is subject to certain limitations found in sections 107 through 118 of the copyright law (title 17, U.S. Code). One of the more important limitations is the doctrine of “fair use”. The doctrine of fair use has developed through a substantial number of court decisions over the years and has been codified in section 107 of the copyright law.
Section 107 contains a list of the various purposes for which the reproduction of a particular work may be considered fair, such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.

I dont understand why you just dont say fuck off when a clown to ask for ID.....you guys are just too much.
Get to the point and tell them to fuck off.
Sometimes I go through all the comments I don't read them all I just hit the thumbs up
To make you look better that's what everybody should do it helps with the algorithm
People need to remember the freedom Of press means the freedom to press for information, As you have the right to Pressure The government Since you paid for it , The government can't tell American's that they are Beneath them , Because the american people are the boss , anyway fun
I would just ask cops all kind of questions like favorite color or movie , I would do everything in my power to keep the cop talking lol you want the government employees to give out as much information as possible , Remember to ignore their questions for their questions, don't really matter
b-roll footage ,is not a crime
Officer safety is the lamest excuse I have ever hear coming out of the mouth of a heavily armed "man".
Right? I'm far more worried about citizen safety. Hot-tip, we want to get home alive at the end of the day too.
Officer safety is just a bs excuse they have come up with to use to violate your rights. That's all it is. Every time an officer opens his mouth talking about officer safety be prepared for your rights to be violated. Specifically the 4th and 1st amendments.
Officer safety is officer cowardice.
Officer safety is officer cowardice.
Officer Safety will kick your ass while you are hog-tied and unconscious... and then he'll go home at the end of his shift.

This country is a Republic we have rights thank you for always standing your ground. They hate when you know your rights.
"We're not hassling you" .....from armed people surrounding him, harassing him.
What's the most misused phrase in law enforcement today? "officer safety". They use it as an excuse for everything! Whatever happened to *public* safety!
Obama was a big pig supporter! He caused many of the problems today! He militarized the police with "left over" war weapons and vehicles. Obama said a pig's first priority is they get home safe and not the US citizens.
They view their own safety infinitely more important than civilian safety and need every excuse they can to try and violate our rights and incriminate innocent people
Officer safety is cowardice.
Governments always use your safety or their safety as an excuse to take rights away. Benjamin Franklin wrote about it for crying out loud
I wonder if the cops demand people not to stand behind them in the doughnut shop...
Turning off that body cam should be a reason to lose their jobs.
Being able to LIE, needs to be ditched.
We should all be highly suspicious of public servants who have a problem with being recorded.
I think it's great that Seattle just announced that they have changed policy so that cops can no longer knowingly lie to citizens because it undermines the public's trust.
Riiiight, like cops aren't going to lie..
@@BrianStroud-d3p didnt say they wouldnt. But when caught, they can now face punishment.
Sounds like Seattle except it's wayyy to late for that... nobody trusts the cops !!
Step in the right direction. Even if cops started to fly right it would take decades to get trust back. Fact is it would never happen. This could just be a stunt by SPD-hence lying about lying.
CA just passed the same law. Effective 1Jan2024

"We're not hassling you."

These dumb cops man…Penal code 632 in CA specifically applies to surreptitiously recording confidential communications. The law also specifically explains in section (c) that this does not apply conversations in public areas that could be easily overheard or recorded and thus does not have any reasonable expectation of privacy. What concerns me is this cop is obviously not coming up with this himself. Someone trained him to completely misread this law in order to be used to violate the 1st amendment.
Seems worse. Looked like he hoogled it real quick and then found a lead, cited him without reading it fully, then acted on minimal info.
If they mis interpret this law, there are probably countless other laws they can't get straight!
It always amazes me the reactions people give to being recorded. So many peole dont know the law but think they do.
When I started to learn about the founding of our country, the American Revolution, the drafting and ratification of our Constitution and Bill of Rights Etc. It's very clear to me that officers are hired and brought into a position to protect the citizens and to serve the citizens and to protect our rights and our Constitution and the sad thing is is they don't even know it
Unfortunately this is no longer true. Some may think so but ALL are paid to protect the Corporation that pays them NOT to protect the citizens. There is a National Crisis of police abuse of authority in this country that needs to be addressed from application to administration.
