Love scrappy quilts with scrappy binding! I've come back to see this video again ❤ I am going to make a bigger one with flannel and lightweight denim for my little Chihuahua to snuggle up in! 👍 Love your channel from Iowa.
I love this method and I’m absolutely going to make one or more of these, I especially like the idea of setting the blocks on point!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us.❤😊

Good day! My large rug is 34 inches. It is not necessary to buy such a large rug, because it is expensive. You can take less. My first cutting mat was 23 inches. The most needed mat for trimming 16 inch. and two more rulers: one 60 cm, the other 12 inches. By the way, it is more convenient to have two rulers: one longer, the other shorter.
Çok beğendim muhteşem oldu.Abone oldum, kapitoneyi yaparken yakın çekim yaparsanız seviniriz.Kapi toneyi beyaz şeritleri diktiniz, sonrası tam olarak anlaşılmadı.bilginize.❤❤❤❤
I love this scrappy pattern. Thank you But are you sure you gave the right measurements? My block not 7 1/4 on the end😔 I think we need for this pattern 1 1/4 “ strips You gave 1” to make the block.
This is not a "Y" seam. This is known as a partial seam. And very well demonstrated, at that. Not hard at all just different. But gives amazing results.
I’ve given up on this pattern. The pieces do not fit in without stretching them to fit. Sorry, but it just doesn’t fit together like in your video. Don’t know what I may be doing wrong.
I’m not sure what might be happening on your end, but when ironing, it’s normal to stretch the piece a bit in width. I sewed everything on camera in real time, and it all came together for me. Maybe give it another try and see if that helps?❤
I think we’ve all learned to cut away from ourselves but there are exceptions to every rule! For some I think it’s like trying to force a left-hander to become right-handed…
You were taught right. Cutting towards yourself is very dangerous and one can easily get their hands cut with a simple slip. It only takes one slip to do some damage!

This video can no longer be corrected, unfortunately.
Amei!!!!
I love this scrappy pattern. Thank you
But are you sure you gave the right measurements?
My block not 7 1/4 on the end😔
I think we need for this pattern 1 1/4 “ strips
You gave 1” to make the block.
Don't even know. But I sewed and took measurements in real time on camera. Now I don’t remember. I don't know, maybe I was wrong...
Hermoso 😍🥰
Lindo
What Suze did you trim the four straps to?
5 inches
Qual a medida das tiras em centímetros, por favor!
1 inch = 2.54 cm.
❤
Oi seu trabalho é maravilhoso
Gostaria de saber as medidas em centímetros.
Quem poder me ajudar
Obrigada
I'm sorry, but I sew in inches. 1 inch = 2.54 cm.
❤❤❤
What are the measurements, I want to make it NOW !
See the dimensions in the video and in the video description.
Never cut toward yourself always cut away!
❤❤😊
🎉🎉🎉❤😊
❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’ve tried several times, but after sewing the 2.5” square onto the first 5.5” piece, the second piece is too short for sewing on.
We cut the pieces to a length of 5 inches. And sew with a 1/4 inch seam allowance.
@@themelodyofsewing6369after I trimmed all to 5”, it still doesn’t work.
It’s lovely but what is it?
There was no communication.
You can use these patchwork blocks to make whatever you want. I made a table topper. And, unfortunately, I speak English very poorly, sorry.
The only way I could get this square to work was by using a 3 inch centre square and the finished block measured 7 inches
I sewed and measured all the details in real time.
@ I don’t doubt you, it’s me that can’t do it!
Y seems are not beginner friendly
This is not a "Y" seam. This is known as a partial seam. And very well demonstrated, at that. Not hard at all just different. But gives amazing results.
I did not understand your comment, the translator translated it incorrectly.
I’ve given up on this pattern. The pieces do not fit in without stretching them to fit. Sorry, but it just doesn’t fit together like in your video. Don’t know what I may be doing wrong.

@@themelodyofsewing6369 I’m sorry for the comments. Please don’t take offense. I watched and saw that the block came together correctly.
I was always told never to cut towards myself. 😢
What you were told was absolutely correct, but I physically cannot cut it any other way.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
@@hugg724 They taught me correctly, but now I can only cut like this. I just have a damaged tendon, and PHYSICALLY I can’t cut other way.
