That noise level portion was nice, next time could you include a decibel level into that as well? As an i7 owner I’ve heard mixed reviews about the clean base not working as seamlessly as advertised. But the smaller bin needs a daily cleaning and that gets old real fast. As always appreciate the eye candy! 😍

Garoconbleu the dustbin is very small on my I 8+ and yes I have to agree with you about the clean base not working as well as it should

Did Narwal send you a Narwal T10?
If you install the i7’s Dirtbin into the e5, set the e5 on the Clean Base dock with the i7’s dustbin installed, and push the home button when on the Clean base dock (If you push the home button when the i7 is charging on the Clean base dock, it will empty the bin), will the ROOMBA e5 empty its own bin?

We have not tested anything from Narwal. First time hearing of them.
And no, e5 will not empty its own dust bin. Roomba uses a debris suction slot that's built into the i3, i7, and S9. Those are the only models that can self empty.

@@ModernCastle the i7’s dustbin looks similar to the e5’s bin. Can you interchange the i7+’s dustbin into the e5?

@@MrBlueCreeper Yes, it is exactly the same on both e5 and i7

@@ModernCastle so If you put the i7’s Dirtbin with the Automatic Dirt Disposal Port into the e5, set the e5 on the Self-Emptying Dock WITH THE I7+’s DIRT DISPOSAL DIRTBIN, and push the home button on the e5, what would happen?

@@MrBlueCreeper Nothing. You cannot move the port. It's built into the i7. It does not move.

I just got the i8 plus with the cleaning bin but it's actual dustbin is so tiny that it has to keep going back so the thing goes back and my house is not that big I have my normal Roomba 870 I've had all of the roombas for many years and the dustbins just keep getting smaller and smaller the i8 plus is supposed to have longer running time than the i7 Plus and it doesn't and it's starting to run around like my 870 it's supposed to be mapping all the time but it's not doing a very good job of that either I've already had to reset it twice and I've only had it for a week is this normal?

I don't believe the i8+ is supposed to have a longer run time than the i7+. The i8+ is nothing more than an i7+ with a special color face plate that Costco is allowed to sell. Functionally, it's identical to the i7+.
As far as the dust bin stuff goes...I would say just let it run as much as possible for a few weeks. If your floors have lots of built up dirt / dust it could take a while to get caught up.
As far as the mapping goes, that's not normal. It can take a few runs to figure out your home, but then it really shouldn't need to keep mapping. If that continues I'd suggest just taking it back to Costco. Sounds like a defective unit.
