I bought one synchronous motor to mess with as I have never attempted to create animated props before. Hoping with lots of trial and error I can make it happen. Take care.
No way! You definitely can. I’m the same way. Just had to sit down and commit to getting it done. The frightprops UA-cam is really informative and honestly, you have nothing to lose but some of your time. It’s worth it to try these things

Looks to be 30 rpm, 2 seconds per full rotation. You can under volt the motor to make it run slower or use a motor controller to reduce the speed in a better way.
@kirstykat8309 frightprops.com has everything you need to power it. Also, all the moving holiday props at Home Depot right now can be disassembled and used for motors. I’d say that you should keep the arm as light as possible. Pool noodles and wire.
