- yeah in this video I decided to give x11 some hyprland animations because X11 deserves it more than wayland lol.

Although I don't use Linux, good video
o ye, the linux part of youtube and a random recommendation in my feed
While me sitting banging my head bcs idk how to configure hyprland. Experimenting between sort of comparable window manager with it is far away
idk when you recorded this but upstream picom supports animations already :)
I don't get errors like that one you got in vim in emacs]
and you have emacs-wayland in arch repos
and you can play games inside of it. even doom.
I have i3 installed, but it is a fallback desktop for me, in case something does not work in hyprland
also you skipped xmonad, exwm, dwm, awesome and propably some more. :3
is this possible in hypr(without land)?
I mean animations should be possible regardless of any X11 WM because the compositor is what does the animations.
lmfao great content
Wine doesn't fully support Wayland yet, but you can have a flawless gaming experience on it already. There can be very slight issues here and there if you're on Hyprland specifically because the codebase of it sucks, some NVidia cards might act up this they really shouldn't and having multiple monitors can cause some jank in a few games but gamescope usually fixes those (tho it itself can also be janky in a few specific cases, from my experience you can skip the two errors it shows when I'm starting a game and then it works just fine tho)
Also swayfx BTW
lol I got to experience hyprland being bad when I forced myself to use it for a month. Playing my favorite game (Doom) was extremely hard because I couldn't use my mouse and I thought it was a wayland issue becasue the same thing happened on KDE plasma but after installing a package I was able to fix the issue.
E325 gang!
you ever used dwm?
I have heard of dwm and I have been told by some people that dwm is the best to use on the random chromebook that I have laying around
wow I'm in this video
Ah, you're the one that had trouble with doom on wayland, I'm betting everything that it has something to do with your glfw. (or xwayland)
