I love you. You truly cheer me up. I lost my dad, mom, big sister, and 1st cousin and yesterday best friend, all since 2020. I’m not being a downer because I’m the ultimate cheerleader for ppl to succeed. But today has been something and of course I’m subscribed to you, but today I needed to hear your voice and kindness. Thank you. I’ve been painting for awhile but I don’t record them all. I ❤you all. God Bless You!!!!! -Jonie
Jonie your note makes my heart sad but also makes me smile. Thank you for your kind words. Sending good thoughts and big hugs your way. Take great care Jonie
Well see Miss Cathleen... there you are doin what you do... ...bein a teach... helpin us newbies... spreading knowledge and kindness... Yep that's you doll and I sincerely appreciate every effort. I'm ever your student! ❤
Hey Cathleen , you are write , we have to try ,try ,try and find our way to do best ..... It takes a while and then you get the result and hooooo ...what a feeling when you see it came good ! Sometimes you get a big step forwards a other time you fall 2 stepps backwards again 😂🙄😏 But that's how it is....so don't give up and go for an other turn 👍🤞❤ But thank you so much , Cathleen , for explaining us again and again , you are a darling !!!❤ Take care , stay save Martine 😍
Absolutely magnificent! All your work is beautiful. Yes, I see Sara Taylor thru the pearls. Sara has also taught me important lessons. Your videos are great. The lessons I learned from your videos are priceless. I don't think I have seen anyone though, do your swiping technique like you. I was truly hoping that the purple swipe across the bottom on the painting would remain, but knowing the paint mixture for pearls, I knew it would not. But your swiping is always out of this world. Thank you.
Loving this so much!!! You and Froyle have inspired me... I've been gelli printing and collecting. Can't wait to give this a try. I love everything you do... fantastic!!!❤️
Excellent advice! I absolutely love Elise and tried her recipe and……. Total fail!! I can not figure out why so I tried Tara’s recipe and… success! There are sooo many parts from each artist that I am beginning to utilize and am now really enjoying fluid art! You have helped me immensely!! I am beginning to get my own style finally…. So thank you! Still too unsure about beginning my own channel but I hope soon so I too can help hopefully help someone else. Sooo many wonderful artists!! I have done art my whole life and have never seen so many willing to share and teach!! 😍
Jill it’s the sharing of others that helped me to learn. That and much time practicing, taking notes. Loving every minute. I started recording my journey with my iPhone. That way I could reference and see my successes as well as my mistakes. Happy painting journey to you 😊🎨
YESSSS I can totally feel the difference! I'm so glad you said that because I've been having a hard time getting my metallic paints to the right consistency. To me I think they LOOK ready, but they feel different/thicker. Now I know to add more water! Thank you so much, you're the only one who's said this! ❤️
So informative!!! The golden pouring medium tip was great, I have a huge bottle and have never used it (yet) but I use 800 almost daily...cha-Ching! Oh, and I’m a full time RVer and I tend to follow people regionally when I travel because weather and climate matter so much with recipes!
A winter wonderland! Thanks for the mixing advice - and tips. I think better to listen to one coach than many - I get very confused with all the different methods. Too many cooks and all that! Although Sarah Taylor is in my "mix" big time. Two cooks perhaps?
Cathleen it has been such a joy to watch you grow in this genre. Your work is Gallery worthy GORGEOUS and yet you are so humble and willing to share. I learned a very important point this time and that is that I don’t mix long enough!! One of the many lessons I’ve learned from you. This is my favorite of your works. INSANE💜
I have watched so many videos on so many different styles of fluid art. One of my favourite is Dwight Pours. Since stumbling onto your channel, I have to say that you are the most talented of all I have seen. The way you can adapt from one style to another in one painting. Also when you don't like a result, you can come up with something without having to scrape the canvas, as so many others do. Thank you so much for inspiring novice artists like myself. ✌️❤️
Carrma thank you so much for your smiling words. 😊 Dwight does some beautiful art. I do my best to never give up on a painting. I spend to much time preparing for it. Sometimes things turn out just as I planned. Sometimes the paints boss me around. Then I just jump right in and try and work with what they give me. Thanks for joining me on this wonderful journey 😊😊😊
It is so generous of you to provide a detailed and entertaining tutorial. I found it very helpful. I didn't expect the tutorial AND a beautiful piece of art!
I've been watching several artists mix the 'pearl pour receipe'. All the others use Decoart Satin Enamels in there. I see your painting created beautiful pearls and the cloudy effect. Why is that? Love your composition.
Spectacular piece! OK, so I will try ONE more time to do a pearl pour using your recipe. I've never been successful at this even after trying numerous artists; recipes, but you are giving me inspiration. Can't wait to try your mix and ratios.
Hi tried this morning to do this almost go some but no so did a swipe played around I think it’s ok but I sometimes see canvas showing so added some drips of white maybe they work this looks fabulous.
Great as always. The idea with the woman-made cells is brilliant. Have tried it in a couple of paintings and it looks great, so much fun to watch them morph.
This was incredible! From the tips all the way to the finished painting! I learned so much. Thank you for this gift. I would like to share a tid bit with you. When I’m out of gloves, I use Burt’s Bees Hand Salve. It makes washing the paints off your hands easier and reduces the amount of scrubbing on you skin. You can find it in almost every pharmacy. 🙂 Again, thank you for sharing what you have learned with us all! 💞💞💞
This was so well timed for me. I've tried 4 times with Tara's recipe to get a decent pearl pour...failing but learning☹. The only thing that is different is I have Artist Loft pouring medium instead of GAC 800. Sara has used it and it worked great for her. All to say, thank you Cathleen! I needed a fresh perspective and I'm going to try your recipe tomorrow. I really appreciate you taking the time going into detail about this technique. I love your painting! The greens with the violet are fabulous! It immediately brings a lovely garden to mind. You are a joy to watch! You are a bright spot in my learning journey. 😊💚💜💚💜💚🌸
Tera thank you so much darling. Thin thin thin paints. It’s scary how much water you add. It flows like milk. But my paintings have dried so well. Wishing you big luck 😊🎨🖼
Hi, Cathleen. Thank you so much for the excellent mixing tutorial. I really appreciate you, sweetie. I love these colors and your painting is gorgeous. Hugs from Minnesota. 🎶💞🎶
Your work is so inspiring! Your sharing of knowledge even more so. Thank you for sharing your journey. I am wondering how you know when to STOP when creating? This is my biggest challenge..... that and mixing paint! 😊
Beautiful painting Cathleen. Thank you for all the tips on pouring medium and how to mix paint. You are absolutely amazing. I love your creativity and want to learn from you. My camera stand is here. So let me know when convenient for you. Have a good evening. ❤️❤️❤️👍🏽👍🏽🌸🌸🙏🏽🙏🏽😀😀
Thanks for sharing! It helped me see what consistency is needed. Been playing with technique but it's been hit or miss.🙀🤪 Love your peark pour and colors!❤❤
Wonderful explanation, thanks a lot, now I will look for my way but only one detail brings me a doub about the base coat with Behr or Sherwin Williams, you thin similar consistency to the colors paints? With water or pouring medium ? Thanks a lots I following your advice because I found your art is extraordinary from the colors pallets you select, your technique and excellent teaching Thanks….

Emily I would freak out about all the water. I kept saying “no way I can add more” 🤪🤪🤪
@@COZCreationsArt I barely add any water at all. Like just drops at a time. So that's got to be where my ratio is off.
Wow ! Another beautiful painting !! Thank you so much Cathleen for helping us getting it right...💕💕💕
Cathleen I love this thank you for sharing your a gem ❤️👍 Australia xx
You explained that very well! Thanks Kathleen!

Judy there is DecoArt Satin Enamel Pure White in the painting. It is listed in the description box 😊
You can also use Satin Enamel House paint for the same effect 😊
Thanks Cathleen. I see now. There's Satin enamel in the Base, not the paints. I should've known that. 😆

Avileno yes the base is very thin just like the pour colors. If you think its thin enough, it probably isn’t.
