Battle of titans was an rpg game which is a sequel to a game that was really popular called fight the monsters. In the game you fought these beast monsters which are wearing package costumes from Roblox catalog that are fully animated, fight bosses, make money, and buy better gear. It is super simple but I played it a lot when I was younger and it used to be popular and fun. The game is still fully playable with a few quirks and small bugs from updates. It even has lore that is unfinished but quite fun. The game does not get updates because the creator, parlus was banned through scamming limited items and other controversies. The game had awesome music but with the Roblox audio update only the last three areas outside of the city zones still work and it’s undertail remixed music. The ones that are missing are some legend of Zelda: ocarina of time song of storms original versions and remix versions, and some other songs that I don’t know of. This game was something I played a lot and it still mostly works and there’s a few players who join every once in a while to re-live memories like me. The first game before it called fight the monsters has a similar concept except it’s much simpler but monsters you kill are killable in a certain order from the weapon drops they give with the final boss being the game creator in a korblox outfit with insane amounts of health. The save mechanism in the original fight the monsters is broken but there are remakes of it with the saving working. Fight the monsters usually has at least 3 people on it at all times. Battle of titans gets about 3 people a day on a generous average.
I wanted to thank you so much for making all your roblox videos a single playlist, great to simply put on shuffle play as listen to your commentary on random bits of knowledge/info about a platform i love
There are 2 old Roblox horror games that I've pretty much given up on finding, since they were neither very popular or from any big accounts. But imo they were both very striking to me as a kid, which is why I remember details about them even now. I think this was around 2010-2012? I remember Hard Rock Cafe being active and popular at the time, if that helps. The first was (probably) an entry in the scary mansion contest, it wasn't the winner nor was it any of the mansions toastedcherries talked about in previous videos. From my memory, it was a large grey mansion on a dirt hill, surrounded on all sides by a sparse forest. If anyone remembers that semi-popular old "ghost hunters" game, it functioned kind of like that. Go around the map, and at various locations there would be scripted scares. Even outside in the forest, there would be ghosts that would appear in trees. I remember a bedroom inside that, upon going up to a painting, trapped you in the room (or inside the painting? not sure) and displayed a jumpscare image. I make it sound cheesy, but it was genuinely well-crafted for the time it was made, with lots of cool scripted events and moving parts. The second, I don't remember much. All I know is that it had jeeps that up to 4 players could fit in and drive around the map in. There was a large open area which necessitated the jeeps, and a more-detailed forest(?) area that you dealt with on-foot. I believe there was a sort of "hub area" when you got off the jeep, with scary locations in the other 3 directions. But in the hub area, there was a broken-down house (or tower?) that I still remember because it scared the bejesus out of me. When you went inside, a pitch-black entity would appear and chase you around, damaging you. Little kid me didn't even know at the time that enemies could just spawn in like that (I was very young), so that really got me. The other areas? I don't really remember... I think one was a giant green maze or something, with various scary stuff hidden inside? Another might've been a haunted shack? The "hub" might not have even been a hub area at all, just one of many zones that linked together. I think I quit after the shadow figure jumpscare.
Speaking of horror games, bummed out Zombie Tower wasn't mentioned under zombie games! It was a really great zombie survival game that was also extremely difficult. Each round you'd start at the base of a ginormous tower, and work your way up with other players. It had zombie bosses too, and I remember when the tower got new floors and bosses added pretty regularly until it was complete. It's broken now of course, but videos exist of people completing the whole thing.
Fisticuffs is a big part of my Roblox childhood, i remember hopping on to play it after school and always raging a bunch then leaving it, then repeating the cycle. Im gonna be honest, i shed a big o'l tear ever since i found it again from this video. Thanks toasted.
Thanks Toast, you got me reminissing of a few games along the video. Also. Does anyone else remember "Roblox Mythology: Birth of Roblox" by BillyYank? I miss that one.
i haven’t completely finished the video but there’s a remake of that old game “the normal roblox elevator” or whatever that includes that teapot game as one of the floors! the remake is called regretevator
It's so weird to say as im only sixteen but some of these games were literally my childhood, Like vamp hunters 2 (I visited again around two years ago and made a few friends), Twisted murder, and Roblox Highschool were like all i played with my sister and cousins
I know a game that I played a lot. Its not old. Its from 2018 or something, it has 100M+ visits, but now there's noone active. Its called "High School" by Melonslice and it's a horror game. I'd like to play it again, but it's impossible without other people.
Gods, being on roblox since 2010 this video brought back a huge bit of nostalgia for all the old and now lost games I used to play as a kid. So many games I had vivid memories of like this crappy pokemon rpg or this spongebob battle game that had genuine effort put in them are just completely lost and unarchived. Reminds me of when the staff thought it would be a good idea to bring back the idea of the crafting system back in like 2016 and failed miserably when they realized it would brick the catalog. Why am I mentioning this random tidbit? Because most of these old games I played as a kid are becoming lost to time just like obscure info like that. Wonder why they don't care about older games now, most are bloody hidden from search results.
you have more knowledge in old roblox and lore than I do, and I've been playing roblox for over a decade. i only have knowledge of roblox since 2012 lol keep up the great content
Speaking of dead Roblox games, there was a favorite of mine that slowly died due to another game's popularity. It's called Fighters by Berzerk Studios but I forgot what exactly was the developer studio's name is. It died simply because Black Magic was far more nuanced and accessible, although I liked Fighters better since it was easier to get into. Another was the Legacy series which was a series of RPGs. I think these series of games died cause of its playerbase growing up and not having more time to play as well as a lack of updates. Then there were the fighting story based games that I've forgotten the titles of. One of them involved classes and an evolving narrative similar to how he old Left 4 Dead games did in Roblox, but there was another that was a sci-fi fps that had a story mode and a pvp mode. I find that a lot of story based Roblox games were abandoned and not outright died cause of disinterest due to game breaking updates to the studio. The Gladiators series of games was one that I was fond of too back then. I often look back on these games and remember how niche Roblox was, before 3D assets were introduced and UGC not being a thing yet. A lot of creativity went into those games and although there are good games out there, the front page doesn't usually show the innovative or unique 'experiences' that we otherwise would've gotten in the years before 2019, thus leading to not a lot of players knowing about them.
Ay wanted to say that there still is a version of Kingdom Life 2!! Someone took the code from the Dev Bucket version and is slowly adding their own things!
I don't know if you ever talked about this game in the past, but you should someday check out this old game called Adventure Forward: Star Savior. I loved that game, it was a Mario inspired Roblox obby game with a lot of charm to it and really well made levels.
This video makes me feel old. I played more than a few of these games back in their time. In every segment, I'd lean forwards in my seat like that Leonardo DiCaprio meme. There was a game I used to play all the time by Kitteh6660, Haunted Hotel Roleplay. There isn't much documentation regarding its later updates. Last I know, Kitteh wanted to remaster the game but I think they've moved on from Roblox now.
Some good games to talk about for another video if you were to make one are Explode1's adventure games like AF and Paper Roblox, some JToH fangames (TNZT/GNZT, TNP:R, etc) that were popular in the community for a bit, Shovelware's "Brickbattle Blast!", and zKevin's "Blamo".
Dude Fisticuffs was one of my favorite games when I was younger. I play it every once in a while with my friends and it's so sad to see it so empty especially since I remember how popular it used to be. Glad to see it get some recognition in this video!
It died because of hackers holding the game hostage - they were crashing the game, and the only way to get around the crashing was buying a t-shirt from them and wearing it. But even then, that was just a scam. Sad thing is that some people actually bought it and was expecting to be able to play again.
@@Ursaross the group was catalog hell yes and no; shirt did work for a time since the bot the group used detected those wearing the shirt and would leave w/o crashing, and it wouldn't revisit a server again so long as it detected a shirt once, letting folk play the game (there was even proof vids) but then eventually changed the system to just spawn kill everyone instead of crashing, on top of rejoining servers, making the experience arguably worse catalog hell played a part in killing the game, but the purpose was to get seranok to notice and update the game, and it worked; a lot of the worst glitches were patched with the *help* of the lead scripter of catalog hell
ToastedCherries is one of those rare UA-cam gems. Small but loyal fanbase, doesn’t go over the top, but puts in obvious effort, always makes good content, and is just chill in general. I guess I’m just tryna say I love your channel man. Keep it up!
i'm surprised that Undead Nation or Protect Telamon from Zombies haven't been mentioned in this series yet, they're both games that were once pretty popular but have since become abandoned
One of the dead games is Pirate Wars by Pudinzo too. The game was created in 2010 and was once popular on Roblox, but currently no one plays it. The game consists of two teams - blue and red pirates whose task is to fight each other. In the game you can spawn boats and collect treasure, which is the in-game currency for which you can buy gravity coils and bombs. I remember when I played Pirate Wars back in 2018 and 2020-2021 and 100-200 people played it and now practically no one. Apparently the game used to be one of the most popular games on Roblox. There is also a new, refreshed part of Pirate Wars that some players are playing. It is Pirate Wars but with new things and different mechanics that are not available in classic Pirate Wars. Apparently there is to be another, newer part of Pirate Wars, which is in the testing phase
A dead Roblox game I remember playing all the time back in the day was called “Space Knights”, it recently got a reboot, which went nowhere unfortunately. It gets no players, besides maybe me, if you ever see someone named “Jackson1222”, that’s me

Ahh, I remember the days of the Original Kingdom Life II. A lot of it generally hinged on sweaty PVP, but there was actual roleplay reasons as to why a lot of it hinged on sweaty PVP.
I used to play undertale fangames on roblox, one had someone be the monster and had to kill all the players as different undertale characters, another was a roleplay game but it broke, and finally a undertale game where you had to fight bosses but it slowly died out.
kingdom life, the quarry, twisted murderer, neighborhood of robloxia, roblox high school... my childhood man it was either those or the tube cat warriors roleplay games wild to think how many games are totally dead on roblox nowadays,

Don't Blink was so much fun back in the day
Oh my god thank you for reminding me of Fisticuffs! I played it so much during 2016 and 2017 you brought back so many nostalgic memories.
pandemonium looks so fun from these short little background videos that it makes me want to learn lua and remake it myself.
KAT is gonna end up on this series eventually lol
Oh no bro
Hopefully
I miss that game bruh
Thanks Toast, you got me reminissing of a few games along the video.
Also. Does anyone else remember "Roblox Mythology: Birth of Roblox" by BillyYank? I miss that one.
i am billy yank
i haven’t completely finished the video but there’s a remake of that old game “the normal roblox elevator” or whatever that includes that teapot game as one of the floors! the remake is called regretevator
regretevator isn't a "remake" of the normal elevator, it's just in the same genre =_=
*This series never gets old. the effort they put into these is amazing. Thanks to Logan and the crew* 55:33
I have a feeling this comment was made by a bot.
logan paul
this isnt a bot this is my friend reposting an actual bot's comment@@hilan8493
oh okay.
@@toastedcherries The twist :d
It's so weird to say as im only sixteen but some of these games were literally my childhood, Like vamp hunters 2 (I visited again around two years ago and made a few friends), Twisted murder, and Roblox Highschool were like all i played with my sister and cousins
Ive been thinking about this series the past few days. It was a surprise to see this video pop up!
loving that you put LEASE in your videos and reminds me of how refreshing and simple playing roblox was back in the early-mid 2010s
Fun fact: kingdom life 2 is still around just being maintained by aetheris its now called re:kingdom life
Good to know. The video gave me the impression it was totally dead.
a lot of the dead roblox games you described are pretty old, however i could give you a whole list of more recent games that have been abandoned
BRO fisticuffs is the first game i played in roblox back in 2016, that game is a gem
I remember playing a lot of these games, especially paintball and kingdom life, I play the newer kingdom life games sometimes...
i love this series so much! This one seems like it’ll be really good!
used to play town and city of robloxia all the time, even remember when city of robloxia was brand new and everyone was trying it out
I know a game that I played a lot. Its not old. Its from 2018 or something, it has 100M+ visits, but now there's noone active. Its called "High School" by Melonslice and it's a horror game. I'd like to play it again, but it's impossible without other people.
Let’s dew it
Let's dew it
i was hoping possession would be mentioned, but the fact six flags was as well made me so happy bro
Wonder why they don't care about older games now, most are bloody hidden from search results.
thankyou for finding contamination ive been looking for that game for almost a decade one of my all time favorites
I use to play vampire hunters during 2017 even tho the game average around 10-30 players but It was fun
you have more knowledge in old roblox and lore than I do, and I've been playing roblox for over a decade. i only have knowledge of roblox since 2012 lol
keep up the great content
KINGDOM LIFE I & II AND ROBLOXAVILLE MENTIONED!! IM SO GLAD YOU MENTIONED THOSE GAMES
Ay wanted to say that there still is a version of Kingdom Life 2!! Someone took the code from the Dev Bucket version and is slowly adding their own things!
Great video!! Definitely checking out the rest of your series. Way nostalgic
I don't know if you ever talked about this game in the past, but you should someday check out this old game called Adventure Forward: Star Savior. I loved that game, it was a Mario inspired Roblox obby game with a lot of charm to it and really well made levels.
BROOO THAT CTF GAME YOU UNLOCKED SOME OF MY CORE MEMORIES
Fried cherries
U made me feel sick ☹️
I dont think jtoh fangames were ever alive
@@exotic1405 JToH fangames are one of those games that were popping off during quarantine, but afterward just died.
Dude Fisticuffs was one of my favorite games when I was younger. I play it every once in a while with my friends and it's so sad to see it so empty especially since I remember how popular it used to be. Glad to see it get some recognition in this video!
I remember playing some of these games. Sad to see them go or break, either way they are still some great memories, Great video btw.
This is one of my favorite series, please make #4 and games that refuse to die #3
Anyone else remember Grow and Raise an Epic Doge, Bake a Cake, or Survive the Disasters
epic doge: idk, never played it
bake a cake: sorta alive
survive the disasters: alive
OMG I REMEMBER ALL OF THOSE
@@fashionqueenstar Greatest classics of all time
The fact that zeekerss went from a Roblox dev to creating one of the most popular games currently online is crazy
you forgot catalog heaven, it was a game about using almost any roblox gear and fighting people with it, it died for an unknown reason.
It died because of hackers holding the game hostage - they were crashing the game, and the only way to get around the crashing was buying a t-shirt from them and wearing it.
But even then, that was just a scam. Sad thing is that some people actually bought it and was expecting to be able to play again.
@@Ursaross the group was catalog hell
yes and no; shirt did work for a time since the bot the group used detected those wearing the shirt and would leave w/o crashing, and it wouldn't revisit a server again so long as it detected a shirt once, letting folk play the game (there was even proof vids)
but then eventually changed the system to just spawn kill everyone instead of crashing, on top of rejoining servers, making the experience arguably worse
catalog hell played a part in killing the game, but the purpose was to get seranok to notice and update the game, and it worked; a lot of the worst glitches were patched with the *help* of the lead scripter of catalog hell
Welcome to the town of robloxia was the best thing ever. I never made friends off it though, but i loved it SOO much.
0:16 can you please give a link to this video?
The tomodachi life music in the background is very nice touch
dude the way my jaw dropped when i saw the creator of a lucid dream made lethal company
Toasted cherries is still underrated
A dead Roblox game I remember playing all the time back in the day was called “Space Knights”, it recently got a reboot, which went nowhere unfortunately. It gets no players, besides maybe me, if you ever see someone named “Jackson1222”, that’s me
SUE ROBLOX SPREAD THE WORD
Watching this vid gave me the urge to dump some random old screen recordings from 2012 I've had lying around after realizing how many old games don't have any surviving footage
1:45 "And the secret 5th option for when the developer gets into controversy!"
Isn't that just the latter half of reason 2, but with extra steps?
Yup but it happens enough to be its whole own ending 😭
What about dodgeball by alexnewp3*o?
What does he know
26:24 dude i remember playing that game when i was younger, i even have pictures of me playing it in 2019
Hey I made the thumbnail!
The yelzuuF is lying
OH MY GODS WELCOME TO THE TOWN OF ROBLOXIA BY 1Dev2!!!
i played it SO much as a kid and one day after i stopped playing roblox altogether i discovered it being dead and gone. ah well, it was fun while it lasted
i also played (the stolen) kingdom life 2 a TON and buaaah i loved it so much but never knew it was stolen.
there was also a few other games including one made by roblox where you could build stuff in a room and there was a robot npc that walked around- you also had a statue of yourself if you had the most points or smthin. i remember making a rudimentary zekrom and took a screenshot of it, it’s long gone now, unfortunately :(
and then there was survive the 97 disasters (now known as survive the disasters classic) which was one of the most popular games when i first started playing, and you can still play it nowadays but of course it’s not as popular anymore and quite a few of the disasters are beyond broken now.
there was also a game my brother and i played which was like “survive the creepers” or smthin, and you had to build giant structures to try and survive creepers blowing them up, and if you died you’d become a creeper. it scared me a bit but was really fun and when the creepers attacked the game played sephiroth’s theme
OH AND THE QUARRY!!! i loved the quarry when it was still popular. i loved it so so so much
there was also another game i remember, it was a hide and seek in a giant house and i loved playing it, but it’s no longer playable. wish it was still around because it was genuinely really fun
turkey
Ahh, I remember the days of the Original Kingdom Life II. A lot of it generally hinged on sweaty PVP, but there was actual roleplay reasons as to why a lot of it hinged on sweaty PVP.
I liked my own comment
Congrats, what you want a cookie or summin
Congrats! Here is 1m dollars 😂
You really bold bro
Ibiza spliff by aphex twin being a background song on here made me respect you TENFOLD
I used to play undertale fangames on roblox, one had someone be the monster and had to kill all the players as different undertale characters, another was a roleplay game but it broke, and finally a undertale game where you had to fight bosses but it slowly died out.
kingdom life, the quarry, twisted murderer, neighborhood of robloxia, roblox high school... my childhood man
it was either those or the tube cat warriors roleplay games
wild to think how many games are totally dead on roblox nowadays,
9:35 idk know why i love the ... you can be a turkey
Me: “Whoa this is a very awesome sauce vide-“ [12:29] “IS THAT ERASER FROM BFDI-“
damn morph magic is so nostalgic, I remember roleplay games in 2016 would always have it :(
ZEEKERS MADE LETHAL COMPANY??? oh my god his games were a huge inspiration of mine
12:22 Fun fact about Zeek, he was featured in Pokemon Brick Bronze as the 7th gym's gym leader, his gym recreates his iconic 2d monotone style and he specializes in Dark type, which Pokemon has never done until Sword and Sheild.
Seeing these you play these games brings me back to 2017, when I was around 14 years old and I JUST made my very own Roblox account so I can play games such as The Scary Elevator or Area 51.
you're literally everywhere its almost frightening
