I remember the big increase on the Camaros from 2022 to 2023. Went up by something like $2,000 or more (depending on trim) with absolutely no changes, and it then went up again in 2024. Glad I managed to get a 2022 when I did. While I don't have exact figures in front of me, I know the 2024 MX-5 I'm buying is about $3,000 more expensive then when I bought my 2020 model, which was the exact same trim and options (and even the color, which is different this time, was the same extra charge). At least with the MX-5 though, there have been some significant changes in the years since I bought my 2020 model so it is somewhat tolerable, at least in my mind.
Subaru is going to do the classic move where they shrug and say “No one bought the car so we discontinued it.” when the VB is done without admitting they are missing the mark on why people want a WRX. It has to look good. This car (based on general opinion) does not look good. It is fun to drive (I have test driven Limited manual), but nothing about that test drive really made me want to overlook the curb appeal. The brakes are very soft, softer than my 2013 Fusion I drive right now. BRZ/GR86 is currently looking like the best option because it looks *and feels* great out of the box. The addition of eyesight to that platform for manual really seals the deal in my mind.
$31608 for a Base 2023…… bad or ehhhh? With a bunch of goodies added. I think Standard Option with Rear Seat-back Protector and wheel locks…. Thoughts??????
Even though it's less power; I pick the BRZ over the WRX! The cladding on the WRX looks like a Crosstrek! The BRZ looks batter and is more fun to drive.
Subaru bring back the STI wagon POR FAVOR
That’s what I’m talking about Gonin59

Yeah I agree with you on the MX5 and some decent changes in that time frame.
😊👍 Yep, it’s asking a lot for a fan base to support the rising prices at the same time the cost everything else is jacked up too. 🤷🏻♂️
I agree

Fair review. Love your profile pic haha
My 2006 Legacy SpecB was $36800
Whoa!
I'm really starting to like the WRX TR but for that price point? Idk anymore, everything is way too expensive nowadays 😢
I like the TR too. Way too expensive though IMO

What’s the MSRP?
$32559
The Brake package should be available on ALL Trims. Really really weird bean counter thinking for Subaru.
Yeah
I remember when the 2023s came out in my area they gave an instant $1000 discount to offset the increase.
Nice!

BRZ is a great option!
The new WRX is the new STI 😅
You sure about that? Haha
