I think a lot of the reason that bait worked is that the water is still cold, and bait fish are slower/less animated. Then again, that's not always the case in winter as trout tricks, etc often work. Who knows. Great video though, love it.
You're right, basically everything Slows down in the Winter to one degree or another. Sometimes so slow it's ridiculous, then sometimes I retrieve fairly quickly. We just have to figure it out every day.
