  • ATEZR P10 10W Laser Combo Review. The price is right but lets see how this Atezr handles leather, wood, slate, acrylic and glass. I also test the laser to see if it is able to laser cut patterns and stiching holes for leather crafting projects. This laser comes with air assist and a rotary laser engraver making it a possible top contender in the world of diode lasers.

    When your engraving and cutting wood. What type of wood do you use? I’m currently using basswood but I’m trying to find the best wood for this laser.

      As a leather crafter I actually do not as of yet cut to much wood. The wood that I use in my youtube reviews are 4x4 inch coasters and the listing does not specify what kind of wood it is. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T1361KK/ From my research it seems Alder and basswoods are great for lasers. In my google search I ran into many opinions about your question. Give it a search and narrow down the information. Try to look for best woods with a DIODE laser since that is what you are using. When you find your answerer please share your conclusion. I am sure many people would love to know what you found out. Including me. :)

    How well does it cut completely through the leather?
    For instance, How many passes?
    I'm looking into buying one.
    Thanks for your review!

      I was able to cut all the way through 7 oz leather at speed:100mm/m and 80% power in 1 pass. Hope this helps. :)

      Very nice. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I've seen others that require multiple passes.

      @@kcg3927 It seems the more powerful the laser the easier it is to cut but so far I have found that when you get to 10w and above it is able to cut leather in one pass in my experience. Depending on the settings.

    Hi there! I just purchased this laser and having troubles with cutting acrylics! What acrylic are you using and how thick?

    • @baronleathercraft
      @baronleathercraft  4 місяці тому

      Sorry to hear your having trouble cutting acrylic. You did pick a good machine. Just to let you know in case you are trying to cut clear acrylic, a diode laser will not cut clear acrylic. it has to be colored. Black cuts really well. What settings are you using? Any info will help me help you. :)

      I have this exact laser, the p10. I have tried all settings. From the recommended to 50-100% and 10-200 speeds. Nothing is working unless I do 10+ passes. I have only tried colored acrylics; black, green, blues.

      Blue you might have trouble with because the laser beam itself is blue. I have to ask some obvious questions for me to be able to help you. 1. How thick is your acrylic? 2. Have you cut any other material like wood or leather etc...? If so, were you successful? Plus I ran into this video that might give you some insight. It is very on topic. ua-cam.com/video/O1-4wORy0Rw/v-deo.html@@thearyoum7150 . I am here to try to help you.

    will this machine do yeti style tumblers well?

    • @baronleathercraft
      @baronleathercraft  Рік тому

      Since I have not tried one I can not give you a definitive answer but I do plan on trying to find out. I assume that it should have no problem but you might want to check out some reviews from other channels. This is a popular machine and I think someone must have done a yeti in a review. Thank you very much!

    Is the laser strong enough to work with titanium? If not how many watt laser does that require? Just curious.

    • @baronleathercraft
      @baronleathercraft  Рік тому +1

      I have no experience engraving titanium but I am aware that if engraving metal is your main goal then a fiber laser is your best direction. Fiber laser can get very expensive but there are some that are affordable and most likely can achieve your goal. Here is a statement I was able to find that should help.
      "Laser marking of titanium is easily achieved using either a 10.6 or 9.3 micron CO2 laser or a 1.06 micron fiber laser. The laser marking process heats the surface of the metal, causing oxidation in ambient air to form a dark, often bluish mark."
      Do a youtube search and a google search for fiber lasers. They also sell them on Amazon. They look pretty awesome!

      @@baronleathercraft thanks, I'll have to look into that for sure. I can amagine those powerful lasers are expensive. I've got a little 120mw laser pointer that cost well over $100. I can't amagine what a 10 to 12 watt laser could do. You could probably put a dot on the moon with it. Lol.

    • @baronleathercraft
      @baronleathercraft  Рік тому

      @@paulmills426 Plus they get a lot more powerful then 10 watts. Slicing the moon in half accidently would be so embarrassing. :) Thank you for the question.
