This was first released, live on tv in 81(?). Rod introduced the song, a girl in the audience squealed and Rod chided and suggested, 'you don't know, maybe it's crap' - it got a standing ovation Try - You Wear it Well and Stay With Me
I love Rod. Was lucky to have seen him live 6 or 7 times. Early Rod my fave. Gasoline Alley. A Nod Is As Good As A Wink. Every Picture Tells A Story. Any from those fantastic. Thanks for all you do.
"You Wear It Well," and "The First Cut is the Deepest," along with "This Old Heart Of Mine," "Sailing', and "Reason to Believe. Any of these songs are excellent. Keep up the great work, SS ; you're greatly appreciated. Rod has an album called "A NOD IS AS GOOD AS A WINK TO A BLIND HORSE' with Faces that has "Stay With Me" on it. That's a great album name.
Kid running out of the house at the sound of Rod Stewart's voice... ha ha🤣. I'm sure you weren't the only one! I had a similar reaction when I first heard Janis Joplin 😋. But that's ok: our tastes do change over time. As for this song, I think it's one of Rod's best also - the video is very candid, by the way, and quite moving. Another Rod Stewart song worth checking out? You may want to try the very catchy "Rhythm of my Heart". Thanks for the fine reaction, Shawn, and have yourself a happy 2024 + lots of new (and old faithful) followers! 🐝
One of my very favorites of Rod Stewart even though I love anything he does ! The one with the video rocks !!! Rod Stewart - Young Turks (Official Video) [HD Remaster]
Not a popular point of view among die hard Rod Stewart fans but I love this song along with his “disco” period “Do You Think I’m Sexy” and “Hot Legs” both of which would be great songs for you to check out. Enjoying your reactions and your positive attitude and open mind when you comment on the songs you react to.
@@Mary-xo7ue Young Turks came after that period and was on the “Tonight I’m Yours” album. “Do You Think I’m Sexy” was on the “Blondes Have More Fun” album. “Hot Legs” was on the “Foot Loose & Fancy Free” album.
one of his best songs has an official mv and is called 'forever young'. strikingly beautiful song and will maybe bring a tear to your eye. and the total opposite is what i consider his best rocking out song ' hot legs'. once again it has an official mv. these are 2 songs you do not want to miss
I love Rod and he was a pop singer my mother really liked as well. My fave of his is one that's not really requested a lot, If We Fall in Love Tonight 🎵🎶 💚
"Baby Jane" and "Infatuation" are also catchy upbeat songs. "Rhythm of my Heart" also excellent - so many good songs. "Killing of Georgie" is intense ... "Sailing", Hot legs" ... like that album cover says, he's a storyteller.
Rod Stewart had a lot of pop hits in his solo career. His forte though was with the Small Faces and a killer and deep track of theirs I hope someone requests here is Around the Plynth. Oooh La La is another timeless song that anyone any age can relate, but it was sung by Ron Wood(lead guitar)who would later become the Rolling Stones lead player after Mick Taylor left. Happy New Year everyone!
❤❤❤ Happy New Year's Eve! May your New Years be Happy and Healthy for everyone! Try Rod's songs "Forever Young", "Ooh La La", Some Guys Have All The Luck", "Downtown Train", "Rhythm Of My Heart" and "Tonight's The Night (Gonna Be Alright)". There's a lot more, but this is a good start, LOL.
Nice song! Sometime you might want to check out his cover of "Downtown Train," which was a big hit in 1989 (the original by Tom Waits is great also, but my favorite version is Rod's).

Try - You Wear it Well and Stay With Me
80s Rod Stewart.....with Synths/Keys. Rod was one of the few that fluidly moved from the 60s all the way into the 80s almost seamlessly.
I love Rod. Was lucky to have seen him live 6 or 7 times. Early Rod my fave. Gasoline Alley. A Nod Is As Good As A Wink. Every Picture Tells A Story. Any from those fantastic. Thanks for all you do.
Love this. You’re so fun to watch…fast becoming my fave reactor ❤
Rod, like the Bee Gees, changed with the times and always maintained a high standard of artistry. Good song.

You should do "The Killing of Georgie" by Rod, people shy away from that one.

Wasn't this from the album do ya think I'm sexy, if remember correctly. My favorite album.❤

@@jerrycote659 yeah blondes is the one I was thinking of. Ok my memory failing me lol. I have the Tonight I'm Yours album. And several others. Thanks.
Great 80"s tune!

Oh and yeah, Hot Legs. Thanks to all who have suggested more Rod.
He’s ours😄

So many to listen to but Stay with me, Blondes have more fun as a start, you won’t be disappointed 😊👍
Ros Stewart with band FACES. I'm Losing You or Stay With Me
The music video is good too
If you want to hear him totally different again, try Stay With Me
This song was a hit but it should have been a bigger hit. It didn't get the due it deserved.
Listen to People Get Ready by Rod and Jeff Beck.
This is from much later in his career.
Happy New Year
? Have you reacted to Everlast What it's like My favorite song of the last 20 years
I’ve never been a big Rod Stewart fan (though not much has changed for me over the years, in that regard). But I’ve always loved this track.
I hope you circle back to his time with Faces and listen to Stay With Me.
dont lose yourself in what youre doing
