This song hits home with me in so many ways. In June of 1981 a few weeks after H.S. my wife and I took off and got married. We lived and grew up in Ohio. 6 months later this song comes out and we're living in San Antonio. A job offer took us to New Hampshire, Mississippi , California and back to Ohio. Through it all we raised two sons. I worked while my wife attended college. Almost 40 years later, I retired two weeks ago, my wife as a Masters Degree in Education and has been teaching for over 30 years. Life is never easy when you get married young without an advanced degree. We struggled a lot but never gave up and soon we'll be taking off for Phoenix.
