I just love watching your videos! I adore your giggle when things get confusing or you oopsed! I love the fact you don't do one to try things out first. You just dive in and show us the concept and show up how to fix the oopsies ! Lol ! It's so comforting to know I'm not alone in the oopsie department!! Lol ! Such a cute, fun card and would make a great addition to a journal ! Mwah mwah !!
I think it's awesome that you kept the mistake (which made me laugh with you). It's good people see no matter how skilled one is, mistakes happen and can be fixed. Thanks for sharing. 👍🙂
Your errors were a gift for the rest of us, for you shared how to fix them. I’ve been told, only God is perfect, which allows us a far amount of leeway. Thanks for all your videos. You always do such a nice job showing us how to make cool stuff. Keep up the great work you do for us.
Hey Barbara your card came out awesome. You kept me in stitches, but you were still able to fix the mistakes and kept your reputation in place. I laughed today and I needed it. Thanks.
Hi my sweet babsi 🥰 Today you made me laugh and cry both time but always with happiness 💕. Your card moved me so much and gave me the courage to be patient and stay positive 💪😁. And I laughed so much with the video! "Huston, we have a problem" 😂 ..... you made my day 🤣 I can't stop giggling!! Thank you again for your support and love. I love you too 😘 I"ll cherish this card 🥰 big big hugs 🤗 Béa 💕
My dear Barbara, I love, love, love ❤️ how down to earth you are. I laughed and loved the tutorial! I always look forward to your videos and wished you posted everyday lol ( I know you can’t but I can only hope 😇). Thank you for showing us everything and not cutting off the mistakes because I’m sure I would make the same mistakes or worse lol. It just helps to see how to fix it if anything goes wrong and yo always do that. Xoxo
I LOVE this so much....can’t wait to make one ❤️ You are so cute...you make me laugh with your falling off the chair and glueing the card 😂 I’m glad you were not hurt. Thank you so much, as always, for sharing and your continued inspiration 😘 Have a GREAT weekend
Haha this video made me laugh ! 😃 Your willingness to put yourself out there, not knowing the outcome of your project, and laughing about it makes me... well, laugh ! I love it !!!
Barbara I’m saving this video so I can try this as a card. Before you stuck the butterfly int eh middle, which I love there, I was thinking you could’ve put a butterfly where the glue was on those other two petals. But you covered that up great. Hope your friend heals quickly and I’m sure she is going to love your card. It turned out beautifully! TFS! ❤️
This is the coolest card EVER!!! I'm not sure I would have tried it, if I hadn't had a video to watch first. But now,...I'm so excited to do this,...for Cards AND Journals. YAY! 👏 It will be very unique in a Journal, for sure. Really a SURPRISE! I'm SO glad you made a mistake, AND that you showed us. Cuz I'll bet most people would make same mistakes, and not be as persistent as you, to figure out the problem, and SOLVE it!! So THANK YOU for sharing THAT part. I always put my glued items under a book right away. Its a MUCH better learning tool to show what NOT TO DO, than to only show what we SHOULD DO!! Especially after so much work had already been done. Card came out SO great. I'll bet your friend was very surprised to receive it and OPEN IT UP! 😃 Its just wonderful. And you are a great teacher. You don't go too fast. Or too slow. And putting the yellow dots was a great teaching idea so we could understand better. Thanks for sharing this fabulous pop-up idea. Its the best one I've ever seen! Barbara -Austin, TX USA
I love how you laugh at your mistakes..so stinkin cute. I on the other hand cuss...A LOT!! I love listening to you and your cute giggles. Thank you for the entertainment!!😊
Oh Barbara, I love this sooooooo much. It looks fantastic, I love that you ended up gluing it all down, that is so typical of something I would do!!!! You got around it perfectly though x
This will be such a big and lovely surprise to your friend Barbara 😍 this is an amazing idea. I'm going to tackle this prompt too, and send one of my friends a card too. Thank you again for the inspiration sweetie! 😘
Wonderful! Your friend will love it. You're so detailed to cut out another petal to put on top of the rip. I would have slapped a butterfly on top of the rip and called it good! LOL.
And this is why we never throw away scraps. The petals you cut out of each flower would have been perfect to cover that. I appreciate you including the mistakes and how you fixed it, real world issues.
I love your videos, your so much fun, I think I will try this but use paper of the same colour for the flowers. My butterfly pop out last week was not a total success but nothing is perfect. Love and Hugs🥰
You are just adorable! So much learning for me. Mistakes is also important, cause them perhaps I won't make the same one. I will immediately give this project a try. Wish you all luck!
Love it, made a couple of flower pop up cards and they are not only beautiful but they turned out every time lol you made all the mistakes for us lol cause I would have put a heavy object on top before the glue dried properly soooo many Thankyous gorgeous Barbara 💜🧚🏿♂️🌸💙🦋🌻💚🌺🌷💖
This is SO adorable! My oldest granddaughter has a birthday on Monday and I’m definitely going to make this card for her!! Thank you for the fabulous instructions. 😘
Great tutorial, and like others said- I'm glad you leave in the "oopsie!" moments. We all make mistakes and by showing us yours, and most importantly how you corrected them, we all learn something. I know that when I watch a video where everything is edited out and it all goes perfectly, it's sometimes intimidating to think about taking on the same challenge. Now I know what to look out for and different ways to correct it if it should happen to me. Thank you! I loved both the idea of this as a card and the idea of putting it in a journal. You showed a couple of ways of how to glue it in a journal, either glued down all the way or with one side left open to use it as a pocket as well. I was thinking, if you put it in the center of the signature, either glue it in after it's made or sew the base card in before you attach the "blooms", then it would work like the card- as you turn the page of the journal, the design would open up automatically. If I make one for a journal, I'm going to try it that way- in the center. I know the page won't open up all the way (like the card didn't) but I don't know if that would matter, since it's in the middle. It wouldn't bother the page before or after it, as it would be lying flat when it's not opened. That's at least how it plays out in my mind. We'll see in real life. :-)
Thanks Sarah, for your kind words! I want to keep it real and show that things don’t have to be perfect and there are always solutions if something goes wrong! It’s important to just have fun creating! 😊 And yes, your idea for the pop up in the middle of the signature sounds good. It shouldn’t be a problem if it doesn’t open all the way.
Hi Barbara - very fun and it's a great video. I'm distressed myself and yesterday all I could was to fold a sheet of paper in half.... which is more than I did the day before so it's a start. Would like to have a camera on that.
This is absolutely stunning i hope to create one of these. I recently uploaded a video of my scrapbooks which aren't finished so I plan to put a page like this in there too cx
Great save. I am pretty sure you are not the only one who will have a similar issue. If there is a certain petal you want in the center, do you know off hand at what point it is glued in?
Hast du sehr sehr schön gemacht.....🌼 Ich habe da auch nochmal eine Frage.....das Metall-lineal mit den Zacken.....wo bekomme ich das her....Ich habe schon überall gesucht und nicht gefunden.....😟
Loved this so much, I had to do it twice! I have a habit of following your tutorials “live” I.e., not watching the video through first. So, I make the same mistakes. LOL! Check out my Instagram post for my less than satisfactory solution!
21:23 - "Houston, we have a problem!" 😂 I laughed & laughed! 🤣 So pleased you left that in as it would be totally me. 😁💙
Haha Im happy it’s relatable 😃.

Aaaaw thanks Krissi! A lot of oopses happening in my journal! 😂😂😂
I think it's awesome that you kept the mistake (which made me laugh with you). It's good people see no matter how skilled one is, mistakes happen and can be fixed. Thanks for sharing. 👍🙂
When people receivehhomemade gifts, they never see the mistakes. They feel the love when they open them.
That’s so true! ❤️
My family is stuck up and says homemade gifts dont count. I'd much rather have something someone made rather than something they bought!!

I love how you can laugh at your mistakes then persevere to fix them. You go girl!!!
Thanks Merry! I enjoy the challenge! ☺️
Hey Barbara your card came out awesome. You kept me in stitches, but you were still able to fix the mistakes and kept your reputation in place. I laughed today and I needed it. Thanks.

It turned out really beautiful. I’ve made this card before a few times. They are so tricky. You made it all work and look lovely 🥰
Awesome, this pop-up is just adorable. Thanks for sharing
Simply beautiful! I will put a smaller butterfly on just one of the petals.
I actually added 2 more butterflies 🦋 before I mailed it! 😃

Love. Love. Love this!!! It’s adorable!! ❤️💕👍🏼

Bwahahaha. Love it - and thanks for sharing your struggle ❤
For those who may be wondering, I believe the center flower will be the one you glue on third.
This is such a fun and pretty card. Great save! We can fix anything....lol. Blessings and Hugs 🤗
Hi Barbara - very fun and it's a great video. I'm distressed myself and yesterday all I could was to fold a sheet of paper in half.... which is more than I did the day before so it's a start. Would like to have a camera on that.
Thanks! 😊. Yup, it’s a start! Do what you can ❤️
Great tutorial! I have tried this card before and it never worked out. I saw your video and now know how to glue together. Thanks!
Thanks! So happy my obstructions are clear! 😃👍🏻
So much fun ❤love you too thank you 🎉😂
Beautiful.. I love it!!!Thank you x
You are so funny about the opps glue!! And you should have had your cut 1/8 leaf from the start to cover the oops
Your card turned out wonderful ❤️ it❣️
Ethereal video🌸❤....l enjoy your videos very much that l don't know how these 30 minutes just passed😊❤
Aaaw, you are so kind! ❤️❤️❤️

Mistakes happen, and add to the fun!
What happen to the pieces you cut out? ...so interesting and such fun....😻
Thanks. Not sure which pieces you mean...
49dragonflies One of The triangle pieces you cut off out of the round bloom piece...
K.Susie Roloff oooh, I actually threw it out, it’s too small to keep ....
Great save. I am pretty sure you are not the only one who will have a similar issue.
If there is a certain petal you want in the center, do you know off hand at what point it is glued in?
Thanks Jean! No, I wouldn’t know 😬
Wieder ganz bezaubernd ...❤️
Wonderful tutorial, mistakes and all. Thanks for sharing

Oh wow super cute 👍🏻
This is so cute!! Gonna try this today! 💖
Thanks! Yay, enjoy! 😃
I had such a laugh 🤣 😂
Hugs to your friend from 🇬🇧
Lovely, you could have always made some leaves to cover the rips, too- Hugs Joy, Spain
True! I ended up putting another butterfly over it before I sent it 😊
You cut a segment off each of them. Simply glue that over top of the damaged ones
I was going to make this BUT.....I changed my mind. HA HA HA xoxox
Anybody else having trouble with the flower ripping apart when you open the final card?
