The phonetic image of the clock conjured through the music emphasizes that Homura is on a timer (time limit), and her time with Madoka is running out.

The thing i get from Homura at the end is that she is so tired. Tired of suffering, tired of all the pain she has gone through, and she just want it all to end. But she can never allow herself that. Partially because if she did, it would make all of her sacrifices pointless. Partially because her guilt over her own perceived failures wouldn't allow such a mercy. But also because deep down, she knows that if an opportunity to protect Madoka or a chance to keep her happy pops up, she will grab hold of it and never let go. Her whole existence revolves around Madoka, and nothing, not even her own self, matter anymore. Even if it means she must shoulder the worst of sins and commit the most heinous of crimes, she would do it for her. But the guilt is eating away at her. Homura is stuck in her own vicious cycle. She is aware of it, but no matter how much it hurts her, she knows she can not, will not break away from it either. She simply can not allow herself too do so.
No matter how many times I watch this scene it breaks my heart. Homura swallows down the fact that one day, her closest loved one will become her enemy. It's a sad sense of poetic justice given her actions.
...poetic justice? Lolwut? Homura is the epitome of self-sacrifice. Homura is devastated to learn that Madoka herself didn't want to sacrifice her existence and life as a human to become what she did.

This song is a tear-jerker for me. I think of how much Homura has sacrificed, and how all she wants is Madoka to live a life of happiness. She considers the false world she made to be precious because it's protecting the thing she cares about most. It actually fits surprisingly well with what Madoka said before she died once. That there are "awful things in this world, but there are some things worth protecting". Madoka aims to protect the magical girls of the world, while Homura aims to save the one person who deserves a happy ending. Both have very good ambitions, but it seems fate will never give these two a break.
Homura knows she did something wrong. Yet, she did finally fulfill her wish of becoming strong enough to protect Madoka. But once again, as Sayaka once said- "Whenever we wish for somebody's happiness, someone else must be cursed in exchange." Homura's wish brought an idealistic world for not only Madoka, but all of their friends too. Madoka was separated from the Law of Cycles, but the salvation of all magical girls still works... It's just under new management. That is the curse placed upon Homura, for she must loathe herself for eternity as she holds up the Law and watches the creator get what she should have deserved.

Madoka may forgive, but will she accept the new world made by Homura? My guess is that Madoka will have to step in due to the possible instability of Homura's world. Nobody who is well and accepts what they are doing willingly calls themselves evil. Homura will not be able to sustain the world she has created because she sees it as an inherently terrible thing. It will buckle under it's own weight simply because Homura loathes herself too much. That is why the whole city she made in her sole gem imploded on itself. simunator No she did, it's kinda the whole point... Back in the TV series, Junko taught Madoka that if someone is suffering for doing the right thing, then sometimes, the way to help them is to simply go and do the wrong thing for them. Homura is doing just that. The _wrong_ thing. Junko goes on to warn Madoka that such a move could end a friendship, if the person being saved does not understand why their friend did what they did, and instead see it as a simple betrayal. In the end, it is a simply choice between doing nothing and watching your friend suffer to the end, or saving them but losing your friendship... Either way, it's going to be a messed up ending. During the scene this very track is used, Homura gives Madoka back her ribbons. These ribbons are the ultimate proof of Madoka and Homura's friendship, which survived a changing of an entire universe. Homura knew she was no longer worthy of these ribbons because she understood that if Madoka knew the truth, she would not only no longer see Homura as a friend, but instead as an enemy. But at the same time, Homura still wishes for Madoka's happiness, because while Homura may no longer be Madoka's friend, Madoka will always be Homura's best friend.

I know that Homura loved Madoka truly but i can't forgive her to stop the motion of the universe or absorb the universe. (I'm not really that sure what happened to the universe at the end of rebellion.) I mean, her goal was to be with Madoka at the end but can they chat with each other, can they play together, can they have really fun times together, after what Homura did when she became a demon?
Moon Leung What is there to forgive? It's not like there is anything to show Homura is doing anything bad to the new world. To normal people, the world looks exactly the same as before and life goes on. Sayaka is alive and finally happily reunited with Kyoko. Nagisa is alive and is with Mami who is no longer alone. Madoka is back with her family where she belongs. Homura claims to be the the devil and the embodiment of evil, but evil has always existed in the world and would continue to do so with or without Homura. It's not like Homura is suddenly kicking babies and strangling kittens... As for Homura not being together with with Madoka, that is pretty much the whole point of Rebellion's ending. Homura's goal was never "to be with Madoka", it was "to save and protect Madoka". Homura would of course love to be with Madoka, but we have witnessed Homura make countless sacrifices that would have caused her to be forever seperated from Madoka via her own death or damnation, all for the sake of protecting Madoka. Rebellion's ending is Homura's ultimate sacrifice, as she not only throws away her position as Madoka's best friend, she betrays Madoka and becomes her arch-enemy. We see this in the final scene between Madoka and Homura in the school hallway. Homura gives Madoka back her pink hair ribbons, that was Madoka's gift to her at the end of the TV series. These ribbons were the ultimate symbol of Madoka and Homura's friendship, whose existence defy the law of the unverse itself. Homura knew that she was no longer worthy of these ribbons...
This damn track man...I can't help but feel that it sounds vaguely similar to Migawari no Shinyu from End of Evangelion. Maybe not idk. Ughhhh this scene though...Homura why ;-;
Number 1: Remember when Homura's soulgem was being coloured by love? And then Madoka's goddess form separated from her? Next, she said,"I told you, Madoka. I won't let you go ever again!" or at least something like that? So like i said 2 days ago, Homura's final goal at the end was to be with Madoka, right? Number 2: About that the universe went on the same and stuff that you said, I'm gonna tell myself "you are so dumb, Moon" if i really wasn't right about my last comment. To be honest, i didn't see all the parts in rebellion so yeah. Thanks if your reply was right, senpai! (I don't really know if you're really my senpai but whatever!)
Moon Leung This is to my previous post right? You could have just replied to that thread, it means I would get a notice and I would have seen it sooner. Anyway... 1) Not necessarily. Since these words do not tell us _why_ Homura has caught Madoka and won't let go. If someone has fallen off a cliff or is heading to their death, then grabbing them and not letting go, would mean you are saving them. Another thing is that if Homura simply wanted to be with Madoka, she could have just allowed herself to be taken into the Cirlce, and be with Madoka there. Homura has very little attachment to the real world, and only suffers to live in it and protect it because it was the world Madoka gave her life to save. There is therefore no reason why she would want to drag Madoka back into the real world to be with her there, especially (as you pointed out yourself) if it means she loses Madoka's trust and can't be with her. 2) LOL Glad to be of help. And yeah, going by age alone, I am probably more than enough to be considered your senpai, since I'm old enough to have watched the original TV run of Doctor Slump (i.e before original Dragonball) as a kid...
There is so much precious Devil Homaru x God Madoka art out there. Such a pity it's always accompanied with all of this ugly irrational hatred against a fictional character that turned the universe into paradise out of love.

+903IDFOLEY omg THANKKKS i was lost lol really
This damn track man...I can't help but feel that it sounds vaguely similar to Migawari no Shinyu from End of Evangelion. Maybe not idk.
Ughhhh this scene though...Homura why ;-;
Where can I find some of this great artwork?
We will be able and able for the next two
There is so much precious Devil Homaru x God Madoka art out there. Such a pity it's always accompanied with all of this ugly irrational hatred against a fictional character that turned the universe into paradise out of love.
Thomas Name yep ikr homura did nthn wrong
やっぱり、あなたの方が似合うわね…
is it just me or does god madoka resemble jibril a little?
What do you mean by Jibril?
Is it just me, or is this a little similar to the OST "Facing the truth #1"?
Darius Farrell it's actually the same melody as "her new wings." they sound extremely similar if you listen to them side by side.
...Isn't there a song missing from this playlist? Like between this song and the ending credits?
Where can I find the pictures at 0:14, 1:05, 1:35, and 1:45?
1:41 anyone got some link to this

지수영 나 이제 집에 왔어요 도착
No she doesn't. Madoka might, but Homura doesn't.
Well, she tried... It was the world Madoka tried to protect by giving up everything for after all. But ultimately, a world without Madoka just didn't sit well with Homura.
Does anyone know this soundtrack between this one and ending credit song?
And I think this movie is crap
지수영 아 진짜 너무 좋아해요 오빠 나 지금
We will be able to get the tickets and get
