Let’s call it comfortable and enjoyable living. Thank you for always being transparent. PS Your skin is so beautiful.

"Eat the Cake" is my motto! I dont deny myself anything I can afford. I'm now 47 and have seen friends who stressed about every bite of food lose their lives to Cancer, penny pinchers who never spent for now because they were saving for the future, one spouse died in a car accident. For them, I wish my girlfriend had eaten those cupcakes she denied herself for those numbers on the scale. I wish my friends had taken that trip together. ❤ Much love to you guys! You hustle hard so you should live with just as much passion!

Loved this! I love the fact you are enjoying life! I, too, grew up with a very limited family income with my mom even making all of my clothes until 8th grade. After we got married, my husband and I did not make a lot until we finished our education. We are established in our careers and live a very comfortable lifestyle. I don’t feel guilty about my kindle and audible subscriptions, buying pretty clothes and getting more expensive cuts of meat! But I will always meal plan, get things on sale and truly am not extravagant. We just are enjoying life! Again, thanks for sharing and just a side note, our property taxes here in New Jersey are ridiculous! $12;000.00 a year!

Two things. 1. I can’t believe the gonads on you to post this. You’re my idol 🤣 2. I can’t believe comments are still on. Nothing brings out the bitter in people like videos surrounding money/spending. I remember when my parents were hand to mouth. Literally lived paycheck to paycheck. When their circumstances changed, they lived their best life. Within their means, of course, but they didn’t hold back. It’s refreshing to see someone not be so stuffy when it comes to money. It’s a sensitive topic and steps on toes but I love it. I refuse to ever apologize for spending my hard earned money the way I want to.

Thanks for the informative video. I think your perspective on debt is the healthiest I’ve seen: Live within your means, but understand that life happens and have a plan outlining how to get out of debt. Your perspective normalizes the concept of debt and shame surrounding debt only gets people into trouble.
Also, thanks for sharing about contributing to a 529 plan. I just unsubscribed from a popular UA-camr/Instagram ‘influencer’ who was yelling about ‘funding your child’s college is not your (the parent’s) responsibility’ because making a kid fund it entirely will make them work harder for the degree. My heart sank at this advice because I found it shortsighted.

I love the dip manicures. I have an issue with gel nails because as soon as the polish starts to lift I start peeling it off. If I went to a more ghetto nail spa they would lift within a few days. So I rarely have them for a full week. It’s so bad for your nails - don’t do it haha. So long story long (🤦🏻‍♀️) - I love the dip nails because I couldn’t peel it off or pick at them. (😂) If you have weak nails and have trouble growing your nails because of breakage these really work great. The glitter options with dip are so great and the payoff is amazing way more than gel and regular polish for sure. Only cons is it’s more tedious to remove, (soaking in acetone like gel polish only for a longer period of time) it’s also a bit damaging especially if you don’t remove them properly.
🤤 if you are still reading this ridiculously long and unnecessary comment I apologize. It’s Friday night in Southern California sitting in my backyard where it’s a perfect 60 degrees smoking weed and watching UA-cam. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Don’t judge. 😉 I do have a tendency to ramble on and on when I’m nice and buzzed. Not that anyone notices. 😂

I am super frugal so this was interesting to see the other side. My husband always tells me we could live less frugally but I think I would break out in hives. Your week would probably last me three months easily and we live in a high cost of living area. I am glad you have both worked hard in your life to be able to enjoy yourself.

I don’t even know what say! I love this video. Your honesty is refreshing! Okay so your one week spending is mu 6 month income but dang don’t you deserve it! I’m impressed and in awe! You bust your ass and deserve everything you have and more! Way to go Jen! You’re amazing! Love an empowered woman that does what she needs to get what she wants and it’s not ashamed of it! Truly an inspiration and motivation! Thank you so much for all of your hard work. I just can’t say enough!

Super interesting! You've both worked hard so spend as you wish and enjoy. The most fascinating thing for me (in the UK) was a monthly charge to have your house sprayed to keep the bugs out so I Googled 'Why have your house sprayed Iowa?'.
The search came up with 'Masses of meandering Millipedes' and Earwigs! Oh my word !!! Money very well spent then !

We jumped on refinancing our house last year too! I couldn't believe how low of a rate we got! I agree with you too as far as having to use credit cards for things that come up in life. When I first got married and then having 5 kiddos we struggled for a little while and without the cards we would've been screwed lol! This was a fun video to watch!!

Love this, there is definitely good and bad debt. Watch the butter bell in the summer, sometimes it is too warm outside the fridge. Can you use any of your groceries as a business expenses?

Really cool to hear your perspective on debt. My personal perspective is that it is okay to go into debt for needs/educational advancement/medical necessity but paying it off ASAP is imperative. (We put money aside to not go into debt but sometimes there are emergencies) We are so thankful to have no debt besides the house. It feels very freeing. We did and are still doing the Dave Ramsey plan.
