    Great video once again! I'm going to copy your indexing technique for my own everbook, it's far better than my own chaos :D Thanks for sharing!

    This is a dangerous video as I ended up dreaming about it last night after watching it :)) In the dream I had different bundles of notes, and was starting to categorise them in my Everbook leather like you have -- Ah ha! Perhaps it was a glimpse into the future!? :)) Great video and idea!

    Very interesting. But I get hung up with the randomness of it all. I would think you would have a bundle labeled "car" and that's where you would have your filter sizes and repairs done and receipts etc. Not just generically listed on a random day.... Maybe that's just me.... But I love what you're doing.

      Actually I do have specific bundle for that:) but in this case, that was a separate project, which contains extended information such as: where to buy, how to clean, order on how to remove and install it and so on.
      Soon I will do video about my other bundles which has different topics and explain why some info I just like to keep in my log book bundles (which are basically “random info bundles”)

    Wow, this is a really well thought-out index system! Simple and straight forward. Thanks for sharing this.
    Would you create a log book for your other bundles, especially complex projects?

      @@I_wrote_it_down YAY! I can't wait to see this video!
      I came across the Everbook systema few years ago, but I was TERRIFIED of all the loose paper.
      You adding binder clips and the rubber band is GENIUS! Thank you❤❤❤

    Thank you for reposting your latest video. Can watch it but when you type in a comment and try and send it it says action not allowed. Have tried several times. Thought you would like to know

      @I_wrote_it_down you're welcome. Yep maybe delete it off your account and repost it and hopefully that will work. I hope you've had a good Christmas considering everything that is going on at the moment and you and your family are ok?

      @@SteveW-w9e unfortunately, we have been bombed throughout whole Christmas with missiles and kamikaze-drones. A lot of people got injured and some of them died. Few rockets have hit power plants again so our electricity problem got even worse than before. But thankfully we are alive and together. I wish you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

      @I_wrote_it_down I'm so sorry to hear that. I can't imagine what it is like for you. I pray everyday that this stops for you and your country and I wish our country would do more to help with the whole situation. I hope you and your family take care and stay strong and I pray that this stops for you very soon. Thank you.

    Maybe I’m just dumb but I still don’t understand the methodology of how this works. Can someone explain it to me like I’m 5?

      😅
      1. You put “log#**” at the beginning of your daily entry and then write everything what you need for that day below: notes, daily tasks, grocery lists, daily diary and so on
      2. Next morning, or same evening you do a daily review (or mb you just do a weekly review), where you highlight notes which might be needed later.
      For example you have written an address and phone number of mechanics where you want to change oil when time comes.
      3. You transfer that note link into your separated index list as “log#** - mechanics address and phone”
      4. When time comes - you just look through your index page and find that this info lays in log#**. By simple browsing through your logbook you can easily navigate and find what you need.
      The best thing about it is when you got a HUGE archive - you can find everything you have noted in under a minute! True beauty opens up when you get more and more information collected and daily entries done

      He has a log with page numbers on each log. He uses log plus page number to index. This way he van find the information he is looking for. I imagine there are new logs made because the binder clip holds so many pages comfortably.
      Really appreciate this.
      Of course a review and then deciding what to index is part of the process. I think that he keeps all the notes in there ...even what he doesn't index...like grocery lists.

      It is a mess!

  • @AZsunflower
    @AZsunflower 9 днів тому

    I am glad that works for you, but not for me. What a mess! 😮 And too time-consuming.

    • @I_wrote_it_down
      @I_wrote_it_down  9 днів тому +1

      Yep! For me trying to organise everything from the beginning perfectly is really overwhelming. So saving info like this at first really helps to feel freedom in note taking by knowing that you can just jot down any type of information and organise it later without loosing it. But yes, it might look too messy for someone else. I like to pretend that this just gives an extra layer of confidentiality to my information as only I can understand what I have wrote down😅😜
      No, quite the opposite, it helps to save time in the moment, instead of thinking where to put this info and which bundle to choose. All it takes is- once a day or even a week do a review and if it worth it - just put it into specific bundle to archive

      Agree @AZsunflower that the system is very confusing. I’m glad it works for the author but it’s not for me. Simple indexing would do the same thing and be easier to organise. Maybe use dates instead of numbers?
