- Japanese Whisky is a great place to go if you like Scotch, but the Japanese style of making whisky has evolved to be something unique. There is a great variety of style and technique. Even though Japanese whisky originated from a Scottish style, it has evolved independently for enough time to differentiate it.

That Hibiki is really something 👌🏻
I got a botlle of Hibiki with some gift money for Christmas. Itll be my second bottle, good stuff!
Wait till you try the Hibiki 17.. it’s legendary
Hibikis so good. And presentations on point
Suntory Toki my first Japanese Whiskey and I love it but I love to try the Hibiki
I brought this Hibiki Japanese Harmony Whiskey just for the beautiful bottle.
Yoichi and Miyagikyo are a must
Yamazaki 12 year was the first whiskey I tried in Japan. It was so good! I tried Suntory’s Ao blend after that and it wasn’t as good but not bad.
Suntory Toki I’ve picked so many times. So smooth especially for the price
Yoichi and taketsuru are my fav. Expensive whiskey
I have a bottle of the Iwai and love it and the price is amazing
A lot do those are some serious cheddar for a bottle. Man is it worth it though but it’s the kinda whiskey you’d drink to celebrate your kids graduation or something
Hibiki is top knotch 👌
Nikka Yoichi 10
Idk about anyone else but I love Hibiki. Had a year ago and yesterday, still as good as I remember
where's Nikka from the barrel?
best bang for your buck imo, my current favorite.
harmony 700ml here in Israel is 500 NIS or 140$!
Nikka 500 ml goes for 230 NIS or 65$.
its nuts...
I'd probably do Nikka for those prices too. Although, Harmony is really nice.
You should Review the Whisky from the hood (its Japanese iirc)
Nikka Coffey Malt is great too.
Agreed! 👍🥃
Is the toki better off as mix or can it be had neat? Its around $55 in my area and id rather not shell that out for a mixer
Assuming they are distilled in Japan.
I hear some Japanese whiskeys are excellent. So many choices!! If you could recommend one that I should absolutely review, which one would it be?
IMO, Hibiki Japanese Harmony. It's not to hard to find, delicious, and if you don't love it, you'll still have an absolutely beautiful bottle to break out for company. 👍🏻🥃
@@whiskeybonded Awesome, I will add it to the growing list!!
I had the toki it's like scotch but soft idk i got some tea flavor flower pedal type flavor off the toki idk maybe I'm tripping lol it was good tho.
I've heard other people say that. I didn't get that note, but tasting is super individual.
The Toki makes for a greater mixer. It’s specifically meant for a highball, but it’s great with ginger ale or sprite.
No nikka coffee grain?
Does it need a chaser😂
I actually don't like Hibiki. I got the whole suntory range (unaged versions, the moment they put the aged versions the price just goes 💹💹💹) and it was the only one I didn't like. Nice bottle though. Using it as my infinity bottle now.
For the price of an iPhone you can get your very own Japanese whiskey
Yea, and I'll take the Japanese whisky all day over an iPhone...👍
Can’t forget the nikka Coffey grain
Isn't the Yamazaki like $1,000 a bottle?
The 18 is now. Booo. 😔
Harmony all day long baby!!!!!
Best one for a beginner?
Hibiki Toki. Inexpensive, and go from there. 👍🥃
@@whiskeybonded dang that was a fast reply lol. I'll try it out. Thanks
where is the Yamato
I'll put it on the next list!
Japanese whiskies are too expensive. Yamazaki 12 cost like a 21 year old whisky.
They've gotten way to expensive for sure. 😞
Am I seeing this wrong, I only counted 7
You're correct! Nobody ever pays attention enough to count! Subscriber of the day! 😂👍🏻🥃
@@whiskeybonded 😆
I found Toki for $30. should I try it?
Worth a try if you're new to Japanese Whisky.
@whiskeybonded wife only let's me keep one bottle at a time. next time i think I'll try it. I can always ginger ale it up. cant afford the $200 stuff.
@@JohnBrown-vx3rx You can definitely always mix em. Don't worry about the $200 stuff. Most stuff over $100 isn't worth the extra cost over the bottles you can get under $60. 👍🥃
