New Class 777’s & 730’s cross at Barnt Green with 4 HST Power cars !

Brand new electric units pass in this unique view at Barnt Green on the evening of 1st May.
With 4 HST power cars in the consist, Rail Adventure were operating 5Q77 the 1529 Long Marston to Kirkdale - moving 2 brand new 4 car Merseyrail class 777 units. As this formation was heading north, brand new into service on the Cross City line, West Midlands Class 730’s pass southbound with 2O46 the 1609 Lichfield TV to Bromsgrove.
Newly revived ex EMR HST power cars 43423 and 43467 lead 777029 & 777037 with HST power cars 43468 & 43480 on the rear as Class 730’s no 730019 & 730008 head the opposite way.
