I appreciate you letting us know to have fun and experiment with the progressions and patterns. As a self taught piano player who is a natural artist and song writer this really opens my mind to how much music theory I didn’t know and the little bit I learned made a big difference. Much appreciated 🙏🏿 25:07

Jason great lesson you really opened up the foundation to really start to learn to Express yourself. Amazing there is a lot involved in freedom and you are giving this the keys to start to unlock this process. I hope you continue develop this adding blues scales and also more advanced chord progressions and scales like diatonic modes and harmonic and melodic modes later down the road . Ty

Landing note idea is actually the principle of vocal harmony, otherwise called obligato.... Choir singers generally sing these harmonic notes and they also connect these notes by climbing up and down on scale notes

Jason, this was a sensational lesson! This has helped me get started with improvisation through methodically going about ways to tackle the chord progressions and melodies in a very accessible way. Thank you so much! I have been given advice and ideas about improvisation from various other sources, but they have been completely different to the approach you have shown here. I really, really liked what you have demonstrated and suggested here and I fully intend to put your ideas into practices. This has opened up a whole new world for me and I am keen to begin exploring.

      Hi Karen!
Thanks so much for your kind words, it means a lot to me. I'm thrilled to hear that you found the lesson on improvisation helpful and accessible. I believe that improvisation is one of the most exciting and rewarding aspects of playing music, and I'm glad that my approach resonated with you.
I'm a firm believer that there's no one "right" way to approach improvisation, and that each musician needs to find their own unique path.
I'm excited to hear that you're planning to put my ideas into practice, and I can't wait to hear what you come up with. Keep up the great work, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions or want to share your progress! We are available on Instagram
      Best regards,
      Jason
