My grandparents left Texas and moved to California after WWII. I was born and raised in California. I served in the Navy during the Cold War and was deployed overseas half the time. I have now "returned" to Texas due to the societal collapse occurring in California. Texans often say the words to me that I never heard in California: "Welcome Home."
I’m a former Californian that moved to Oklahoma just in July. I live out in the woods of a rural town. I live it here, however I’ll miss my friends and family I left over 1400 miles away.

In Hollywood it would be a lesbian couple coming to a small Texas town and they'd have to go ninja style on a bunch of rednecks...or they'd start converting the youths in the area to overthrow the evil villainous adults that spread their hatred and bigotry and greed on everything they touch. Babylon Bee's version is much more typical and obviously avoids the Hollywood stereotypes.
This entire season was so beyond funny. I lived in Texas over 10 years and have visited California many times. This is so accurate it’s scary. It almost more Of a documentary than a comedy sketch.

For the first few seconds I thought our favourite Californian couple had finally evolved into the beautiful happy family we always wanted them to be. Then they were back in California and I was sad. Then they moved back to Texas and I cheered!

This whole thing was so well done and very well acted. The girl playing the wife is always excellent but special shout out to the guy playing the husband here - so many acting subtleties along the way - genuine talent.
We have 3 sets of Californians living on our street. It’s a small street too. They have all adapted to Texas very well. The last couple that moved here was like “We love that we actually know neighbors. That’s so different!” 😂
I have a "Don't California My Texas" bumper sticker for this very reason. I have some new California neighbors as well. They saw the sticker and said "don't worry we escaped the state for a reason!"

(2) They go to California and have to pretend they are the same in regards to Guns, Food, and Politics. One slight problem with that is that Steve and Timpani have both converted to Texan, so they won't be the 'fish out of water' anymore. There will have to be a new antagonist to create conflict. I have faith in the Bee, though. I'm sure their writers can pull off a miracle!

For the first few seconds I thought our favourite Californian couple had finally evolved into the beautiful happy family we always wanted them to be. Then they were back in California and I was sad. Then they moved back to Texas and I cheered!
I almost missed at the end of the last episode, because it was kind of a post-credit scene, that they said they had to move back to California. I just happened this morning to rewatch it and didn't stop watching at the BB logo this time.
Ok, you gave yourself away! 😉. Favourite? Do I detect a Canadian, Aussie or Kiwi? Possibly even a Brit? 😜😜😜

Same happened to my wife. We escaped California to Florida and it has been wonderful.
The final scene brought a tear to y eye. I don't know if it was tears of happiness for Steve and Timpani being able to escape to Texas...or...tears of sadness to contemplate what a repressive and restricted life-style that many Californians are forced to live under... and yet... they don't even realize it. Bless them hearts!!

A great finale to a great series. As a Texan, I want to thank y'all for representing us so well.
I love how the story came full circle. This was amazing and well worth the wait
I actually had an emotional moment there and teared up a little. And I'm not even joking. I just feel so bad for people who live in seriously left states and don't get to appreciate Texas and Florida.
It takes a strong man to admit his weakness, not like the crybabies who pretend they give a damn.
There's a serious dividing line in my pity for such people, those who sustain the lunacy get none.
Don't forget New Hampshire: constitutional carry, stand your ground, no sales tax, no income tax, and you don't have the heat or humidity of Texas or Florida (downside: you do have the crazy Massholes near the border, because even the people working in Boston don't want to live there, but they're just as crazy and vote just as poorly as those that do).
Uh... There's also.. Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, everybody Illinois excluding Cook County. Montana, Idaho, Mississippi, Georgia, Wyoming.. Rural Washington and Oregon. Everything Minnesota that doesn't have Minneapolis/St Paul involved.

I am 53 and had a few tears well up. I have seen my interpreter from Iraq fully embrace Texas and this episode brought back good memories of that.
One of my interpreters from Afghanistan took his family to Texas….

As a Hoosier, no, not from IU...from Indiana - we (my family) looked forward to every new episode...you should never have announced a finale! Why? Too much fun, loved all of the characters and a chance to laugh out loud. Please keep doing what you are doing. Liberal humor has dominated for way too long - your writing, directing, casting and actors are excellent. Timpani and Steve are simply wonderful, but made even more so by everyone else that surrounds them. Love the portrayal of Christians and firearms owners (truly, some of the best people I have ever been around). Oh, we don't have BUC-EE’S up here, but hopefully BUC-EE’S will come to Indiana soon!! This whole thing was so well done and very well acted. The girl playing the wife is always excellent but special shout out to the guy playing the husband here - so many acting subtleties along the way - genuine talent.
We have 3 sets of Californians living on our street. It’s a small street too. They have all adapted to Texas very well. The last couple that moved here was like “We love that we actually know neighbors. That’s so different!” 😂
I have a "Don't California My Texas" bumper sticker for this very reason. I have some new California neighbors as well. They saw the sticker and said "don't worry we escaped the state for a reason!"
But I bet they still voted for Beto and every other dim on the ballot and for every tax increase, too.
I've lived in Texas my whole life and I don't know any of my neighbors. I'm 90% sure I'm the street's Boo Radly.

(1) Their family comes visiting from California and they try to hide they have changed.
(2) They go to California and have to pretend they are the same in regards to Guns, Food, and Politics.
(3) Another Californian couple moves to the neighborhood and they compete to which one is the most Texan.

One slight problem with that is that Steve and Timpani have both converted to Texan, so they won't be the 'fish out of water' anymore. There will have to be a new antagonist to create conflict. I have faith in the Bee, though. I'm sure their writers can pull off a miracle!
