Riding Sky Striker, the NEW scariest ride at Six Flags Great America

- We managed to ride the new, huge Sky Striker at Six Flags Great America! New for 2024, this Zamperla Giant Discovery is one of the tallest pendulum rides, taking riders up to a maximum height of 172 feet.
Perfect addition to our park, but the star of the show this year is how great Raging Bull is running!!!
I have been obsessed with back row on superman lately for the pretzel loop dive. But yeah raging bull, viper, and Batman in the back are always my favorites. Goliath is also great but the lines have been long. Also something about it just seems off to me. This sounds like heresy but it's like too much speed for such a small footprint.
@@tylerm5774 are you familiar with RMC coasters? Too much speed is their strong suit, I think, and I’m surprised it has held up so well compared to the other topper track installations which got rough over time.
@@ZeroCreditsRemaining Well consider Maxx force. That ride is really fast but it's way less jarring. I probably just need to sit closer to the front when I get the chance to ride it next.
Raging Bull is the best because:
- It's long
- It's twisty
- It fits with it's part in the park
- The light immersion of having it feeling like you're on a runaway bull and terrorizing the town at high speed really sells, something not too ordinary for Six Flags coasters
Also your friend has a fire Tidal Wave shirt, i need Tidal Wave back 😭
Thanks! 🌊
@ChuckE.CheesesIllinois Nice to see another Chuck E. Cheese coaster enthusiast!
@@Troy-jc2ko more of a theme park enthusiast than a coaster one but yeah
I rode this at 8:30pm with the LED "club lights" on at sundown and it was a magnificent experience. The placement in the park is perfect, with amazing inverted views of American Eagle, X-Flight, & Goliath during the highest swings. The ride cycle is so long it makes it worth the wait (almost 60 minutes for me, but I imagine it will be shorter in future seasons). This is easily the best non-coaster ride in the park, and might be top 5 or 6 overall at Six Flags Great America. For those worried about the spinning, don't be. The sensations are more like the first drops on massive rollercoasters, but taken at different angles. It has more in common with coaster drops than nausea inducing spinning rides.
I want that Tidal Wave shirt! My first looping coaster!!!
Nice username!
Rode this twice this weekend and this ride is completely unhinged!!
I love these Frisbee rides they are so good 👍
I got my first ride on this thing as a bliss ride. Started raining as soon as we loaded and half way through the rain stopped and the sun shined hard. It was great
I love Zamperla Discoveries! Those max swings always give me butterflies!
That thing looks a lot more intense than I was expecting
For REAL
i went on it last week!! the shading was updated, but god was the line so horrible to wait in. ill blame it on the heat, but oooh boy. like you said though, was totally worth it!! it was the only time i genuinely wanted to get off a ride for a little bit,, amazing ride!
Hades isn't rough, it's aggressive.
Yeah definitely when I went there on the 5th, the coasters were all running great and Raging Bull is definitely the highlight of every trip I go there. Didn’t get a chance to ride Sky Striker as it had a bit of downtime and I’m still refiguring out my ride abilities after having some time away from parks. But yeah, looking forward to the future of the park and filling in a new big flat ride the park has been needing.
Bull has more in common w the gigas than the hypers.
i survived the EDGE!! before they took it out of the park
What type of ride do u think will get this year it looks like there teasing something whete Mardi gras hangover was
Hopefully not a skyline attractions junior coaster. Anything but that.
What's the credit music??
