  • These are my quick impressions of Little Amerricka in Marshall, Wisconsin from a roller coaster credit spree. I also share my full reviews of the four unique roller coasters at this classic amusement park. Little Dipper, Meteor, Mad Mouse, and... Swiss Toboggan, which had to be my strangest roller coaster experience yet.

Wisconsin the capital of not having a fence between path and coaster.

Those final bunny hills on the Mad Mouse DID give me wild and unexpected airtime. One of the bigger shocks I’ve ever gotten on a coaster.

Hmm. In my off ride clip it looks potentially slower than the pov. 🤔 🤷

@@ZeroCreditsRemaining I was shocked by the slowness of your footage. And I know I’m not alone in getting shock airtime right there as I’ve heard it from many others. Oh well.
Enjoyed your video - made me laugh at several points.

I took my kids here in the 90s now will be taking my Grandaughter here. Love this small park with the Vintage Coasters been on all of them. Was scary trying to fit into Swiss Toboggan but made it. Loved the Wild Mouse and Meteror(Rollo-Plane). The Train ride is long and takes you through beautiful areas of the land it's on. I discovered this Park back in the 90s and Super Glad it still exists.

Glad you enjoyed your time at our crazy little park with a heart of gold. I'm currently working on a design for a new wooden coaster that's roughly twice as big as the Meteor - definitely a step-up in intensity, but still family friendly. Basically a customized version of the Tornado at Stricker's Grove. A lot of the designing and building would be in-house, and it'd be a large project for a small work force, so don't expect to be waiting in line for the first ride next year or so, but keep an eye out for the future. We'll see what happens.
Also, little tip - if you want some almost/actual airtime on Mad Mouse, ride with another person. The extra weight has you hitting those last hills with a little more gusto. Probably best to ride with someone you know pretty well though - it's an up-close and personal experience.

That’s exciting to hear! I’m looking forward to that. And thank you for the Mad Mouse tip, I’ll have to try that. I’m looking forward to revisiting and getting to know the park better. Thank you for watching. :)

Little Amerrika and Meteor is a wonderful experience. I love wood coasters and traditional amusement parks so this place is special. Mad Mouse is great fun. There's a larger, extinct version called Monster Mouse that adds a taller lift hill and a big drop & turn before going into the Mad Mouse portion here in this video. Little Amerrika recently restored that Toboggan and is very proud of it. In fact they take great pride in the whole park. Rumor is they want to build a larger wood coaster soon, in-house! Have you been to beautiful Quassy? They also have a restored Herschel Little Dipper, and the kick ass Wooden Warrior of Gravity Group. This video and report on Little Amerikka was awesome! It's great to hear an enthusiast appreciate history, charm, and milder coasters! Check out Arnold's Park, too, for a super-enjoyable smaller amusement park with a really fun coaster built in 1930, The Legend, which has insane airtime & surrounds the park. GCI just finished rebuilding that coaster.

I live in Marshall and I've been taking my son here just about every weekend for the past few years. It's always a great time. It can get pretty busy, but not over crowded. It looks like they've opened up more days of the week now that the pandemic restrictions are easing up.
*Pro tip for the locals, go to LA's website during black Friday and buy your season passes at half off! The only bad thing is they don't offer the Gold level pass as a season pass.

That train is absolutely legendary. I got the last ride of the day on it so it stopped at the campground before continuing to go around the entire park loop and I was amazed at how long the track was. It felt at least 5 times as long as the train at my local zoo. Test pilot is a rare loop-o-plane with the sideways spins and there is insane laterals and ejector during them. But the attraction that might make me come back is that bizarre and extremely tiny haunted house that I just want to experience.

My mother and sister worked at the first indoor amusement park in Romeoville/ Bolingbrook called "Old Chicago". They tore the whole thing down after I moved but it closed while still living there. I was hoping that the Swiss Toboggan came from there. My friends and I got in free by mom flashing her badge. Let me tell you I don't care how many times you rode this that when did the first hill, you hit your head. Painful, but rode it many times. When the park closed, the was a large window in the beer garden on the upper outer part and seeing all that shut down was eerie and just sad. I know why it closed and it simply wouldn't give on the shops that surrounded the park. Very Very expensive things and places like K-Mart wanted to go in there, but the owners wanted to keep it looking like Old Chicago and wouldn't budge. They didn't make any money and the rides were always the same. It closed down. I had a lot of memories good and sad, so when I see that ride, I went, "Oooo I hope that was the one I rode 40 years ago. Sadly, I don't think it was, but who knows maybe. I've saved this to show my husband that kookie ride and it brought back good memories. It paid to have family working there. Like I said, mom got me and anyone I wanted free, and my sister would ask me what I wanted to eat and knew the kids that she worked with, so she got free food. It's a miracle I didn't gain weight. Strange, they let a fast-food restaurant in there, but wouldn't allow a at the time popular stores that could have made money. You can find some outer pictures of this on You-Tubes and the movie "The Fury." You can see the Chicago Loop in the background and the beer Garden when rides go crazy for the movie only. P.S. My future brother-in-law worked security there and actually for a millisecond is filmed in the movie! Ha Good Times!!!!!!!
