I was doing bird in a Glasgow jail the day it was announced Freddy passed. You should have heard the collective "No" from pretty much all in the dining hall. Over 200 cons saddened at the passing of Freddie. I'll never foget that moment. Freddie was more than a singer, he was a gift to life.
Awww...the way John smiles at Freddie at 2:18. He looks at Freddie alot like this in other videos and concert clips. I'm not meaning this in some silly Deacury way either. It's just you can tell that John was not only amused by Freddie, but also respected and loved him like a brother.

There is a rail museum up near Scranton that uses an identical engine and the clean exhaust is because they use anthracite hard coal. Perfect for this video.

The more I here Queen the more I can really appreciate John Deacon. You don't notice him because Freddy and Brian May are so great. John Deacon is a legend.
Pretty common with Rock bands, the vocals and lead guitar are the first thing most people notice, but when you listen to it some more they wouldnt work without great bass and drums.

He had way better vocals in his early 70's songs, his young voice was really good tho, in the 80's he started to smoke and didn't had a really good voice past 90's since the aids were hitting him and he had to take more care of it.
This is my favourite song and every time I listen to it, every single time, my brain separates John and Brian''s parts so that I can hear just how big a part the bass has in it, it takes my breath away.
The face of John at 1:22 is one of the things that made me fall in love with Queen. Their style made with technical capacities with an enormous humility. Simplicity and grandeur.

I think people can be a bit self-centred when talking about death. Read through comments about Queen videos and you inevitably read people saying how 'sad' it was that Freddie died, and how sad it is to see him having so much fun when inside he knew he was dying.. This video has a lesson for all of us. The one person who wasn't at all sad was Freddie. Here he is, doing what he loves more than anything, and having an absolute blast. His death may have been sad to us, but the most important person in Freddie's death was Freddie, and Freddie sure doesn't look sad in this video. He's living his life to the full.

Just imagine being told you have Aids and probably don't have more than a couple of years left to live, Freddie had been told this before he even made this video and rather asking for sympathy he gave 100% of his final years to his fans by carrying on and making hits like this one. A great bassplayer must have an idea of what he's providing for the band. JD is probably the most versatile player of all time. He delivered only great bass tracks and Freddie knew that. He considered him as Queens secret weapon. Elton John said Deacon is his fav player, unfortunately he's in Queen. JD was just amazing!
The bass played throughout the song is performed on a synth through an arppegiator and not played by John. There is some real bass in the song around the 2 min mark and nearer the end which is pretty cool though.

An underestimated jem, this song is full of surprises, starting with this beautiful intro with dramatic key changes, mirrored by the dramatic key changes in the end of an epic guitar solo. Lyric are meaningful, all the instruments are played by masters (try to play the riff on a bass, it's in F major), and Freddie's genius voice on the top. It's a tour de force! Of course!
Came out when I was 13, and hardcore Queen fan for about two years... (still am a fan, but these two years, I listened to nothing else but them) And yes, it's one of their most unknown (at least for casuals) great songs.
Uncreative Name I know this is like so bad that it’s ridiculously awesome! And a good way to keep the camera moving around. Freddie really gave it his all here, trying to show us he’s okay. That happens with any kind of illness. My health took a nose dive and I kept trying to continue to work as hard as I always did. Gosh I miss Freddie! You gave and continue to give me such inspiration, thank you😘dahling.
I didn't listen to Queen in my younger years (I loved Chicago!), but LOVE the music now!! It brings me close to tears, because I lost my brother to AIDS, also, about a year before Freddie. A terrible time, for many, but his music will reign forever!!!

I can't understand who doesn't like Queen, a band that mixes sadness and happiness in just one song (or in one melody) and makes it perfect... well, it's very hard to do something like that. Queen can do it so easily, even more so with Freddie with his fantastic voice.
Led Zeppelin was the founding father of the stadium tour, the most succesful hardrockband of the 70's. Queen never managed to do a huge stadium tour like Zep did. I like both Zep and Queen, but Led Zeppelin were bigger in every way; tours and record sales. Not really inferior

All of them were handsome and those still alive are still handsome. Freddie was gorgeous and had a beautiful voice. I feel sad for him. He was so young. I want to give him a hug. He had so much more music to give us. It must have been amazing to see them in concert. I know that Queen wants to continue but they don't need any singer wannabe. Nobody can compare himself to Freddie.

Pretty common with Rock bands, the vocals and lead guitar are the first thing most people notice, but when you listen to it some more they wouldnt work without great bass and drums.

He had way better vocals in his early 70's songs, his young voice was really good tho, in the 80's he started to smoke and didn't had a really good voice past 90's since the aids were hitting him and he had to take more care of it.

I think people can be a bit self-centred when talking about death. Read through comments about Queen videos and you inevitably read people saying how 'sad' it was that Freddie died, and how sad it is to see him having so much fun when inside he knew he was dying..
This video has a lesson for all of us. The one person who wasn't at all sad was Freddie. Here he is, doing what he loves more than anything, and having an absolute blast. His death may have been sad to us, but the most important person in Freddie's death was Freddie, and Freddie sure doesn't look sad in this video. He's living his life to the full.
The moral here is always enjoy yourself

All of them were handsome and those still alive are still handsome. Freddie was gorgeous and had a beautiful voice. I feel sad for him. He was so young. I want to give him a hug. He had so much more music to give us. It must have been amazing to see them in concert. I know that Queen wants to continue but they don't need any singer wannabe. Nobody can compare himself to Freddie.

This song is just so upbeat and joyful! Hearing it always makes me feel happy and uplifted. And I just love how much fun the guys are obviously having while filming the video. So typical of Queen to come up with such an incredibly CREATIVE idea - anything to entertain their fans!
