He is different perspective and that somewhere logical. He is not right but also he is may not wrong. We don't know. But you are disappointed because your religion beliefs get hurt, you should have different approach too instead of believe blindly and without proper proofs in religion. If you study psychology than they will get his points.
I watched it half way and was easily able to figure that he is nothing but a historian.. wrong facts, conclusive answers which have changed from time to time i have been following Devdutt from quite a few years.. i cannot agree to what he says.. like i connect with abhijit chavda.. he is a genius and has logical answers to almost everything

This guy, if born in the year 2200 around so, he wud say "No it's not real Maharana Pratap was just an idea how can one carry 360kg extra weight which includes 70kgs of armor, 80Kgs of bhaala. this comment section didn't pass the vibe, Devdutt Patnaik is a man who interprets history in a very different way and sees things differently, all of us see things differently. In this particular video, this man provides so much more insight into how things might or might not have worked back in those days. If you don't agree with him it's fine, but the essential idea is to accept that people might perceive things differently and probably learn a thing or two from them. Because if you want a world that thinks exactly like you, then that would be a stagnant world, even I may not agree a lot of times with Devdutt sir but doesn't mean I'll deny what he says and disrespect him. He always talks of our culture in a very positive light, just the tone of thought is different. Probably the video's title should not be ''Truths of Hinduism" and rather interpretations as truth is a highly bolder word. This culture into Hindu scriptures with absence of Guru parampara is baseless and would never yield any good results. Guru parampara should be widely reintroduced, revived in our country. These things are so much better understood by Puri Shankracharya, who explains extremely common questions in a subtle manner with authentic explainations.

What about Viking mythology? Just like Indra and Agni was there a Viking god Thor, Odin, hela ? What about the Greek gods - Zeus, Poseidon, Aphrodite? Do you worship them too? Or your gods just confined to local geography?
It is really important that we see both truth and lies before we conclude something as truth. I really liked that Ranveer choose a host who is basically against Ranveer's own ideas and beliefs on Hinduism or history of our culture. That's how we grow to be more tolerant.
His interpretations are so poetic, rational and beautiful. One has to be able to appreciate art to get him. Unfortunately we are not a generation that was raised to appreciate poetry in life, myth, culture. Hence, even the soft hard liners do not understand what he says.
Mr Devdutt’s views on aryan invasion theory is contradictory to Abhijeet Chavda sir’s views about it. Mr Pattanaik also feels god is a fiction as per this conversation. One needs a spiritual inclination to write their own version of Geeta and Ramayan. I am greatly disappointed by Mr Pattnaik’s views here.
Okay let's go, let's say Ramayana and Mahabharata happened, then you follow it's teachings and move forward in life. Let's say it does not happened and it's exist only in our imagination, you still learn from it stories as teachings and move forward in life, the question it happened or not is just insignificant here, how the hell does it matter? Roman Catholicism is trinity gods worship which is refored to as Father ,Son, and holy spirit. That is not the Trinity of Bible. There are no pictures or statues of them. Holy Spirit of Bible is SPIRIT whereas the holy spirit of Catholicism is the goddess which they named Virgin mary who is not Mother of Jesus Christ who is pure human .Who will give her worship for two thousand years ?

I just can't help thinking, as I watch, what sort of discussion would come out of it if you brought Praveen Mohan and this guy, Devdutt Pattanaik, on the show both at the same time😄 Mohan argumenting for, and Pattanaik against whether the ancient stories of hindu mythology should be understood literally or symbolically. Or maybe a bit of both. Those two approaches the same topic from completely opposite directions. I think it would be a very rewarding experience for everyone involved. Anyway, it's a great strength to your show, that you bring such a wide scope of both topics and angles. Always a pleasure and eyeopener to watch - especially for someone like me from a western culture that doesn't know many of these things by heart as do indians. Also I feel in so many ways India is opening up her vast wealth of spiritual knowledge for the whole world to benefit from. Thank you a lot for providing this opportunity to learn from the best and wisest your country has to offer, Ranveer. I already promoted your show to many I know. Not to promote it, but because it comes natural as a source of information to point others to.
He talks about the hindu culture from a different perspective, he doesn't fixate on a certain pov and explores all angles of the belief, keeps an open mind and offers acceptance to other ideas as well, I feel that is indeed something to learn from him. Not only he talks about religions, he talks about spirituality, history, human nature, modern world and his ideas are so refreshing to hear. He articulates everything in a very poetic and understandable way, I absolutely loved this episode! I also believe people should be open to hear different perspectives and not shove their strict ideas down someone's throat.

I just can't help thinking, as I watch, what sort of discussion would come out of it if you brought Praveen Mohan and this guy, Devdutt Pattanaik, on the show both at the same time😄 Mohan argumenting for, and Pattanaik against whether the ancient stories of hindu mythology should be understood literally or symbolically. Or maybe a bit of both. Those two approaches the same topic from completely opposite directions. I think it would be a very rewarding experience for everyone involved.
Anyway, it's a great strength to your show, that you bring such a wide scope of both topics and angles. Always a pleasure and eyeopener to watch - especially for someone like me from a western culture that doesn't know many of these things by heart as do indians. Also I feel in so many ways India is opening up her vast wealth of spiritual knowledge for the whole world to benefit from.
