Nice one. Good explanation and discussion about installing the shocks. I had KONIs on my Giulia Super 1600 and really liked the way it handled with them. Thanks for letting us watch.
Thank you for the excellent step by step video instructions! Why are the rear shocks setup softer than the front? An Alfa spec? Where did you find that spec?
Unfortunately, there is not much of a consensus on shock set up….some cars have stock suspension components, some slightly modified and some highly modified. I set them up a little stiffer in front to prevent under steer…I left them full soft in the rear as even at their softest setting, they are much firmer than stock.
@@cheftush I put orange Konis on the front of TS394 LO when I rebuilt the engine in 1967. Startup coming this summer. I wonder if the Konis are still decent ?
Nice work Dave, I like the rubber cap fittings on the shocks.
good to see the Koni adjustment, it's saved me having to learn dutch!

A nice job David, well done. Kind regards, Richard.
I have externally adjustable Spax on my Triumphs, but very interesting to see the setting process on these Konis... thanks.
Nice Alfa Spider 🙂
So, remove the nylon split washer and rubber buffer ONLY for the REAR shocks?
That is correct.

Didn’t I put Konica reds on the front of ts44836lo?
I’m afraid not Tom. Just regular blue Armstrong shocks if I recall correctly.
I stand Corrected Tom! Yes, there were Konis on your car! Great memory.
