I love Vinny's Shadow the Hedgehog voice. It's somewhere between Keanu and Patrick Warburton (which given his later "Peter" quote someone had to have said it love)
It's almost always the same thing, when you give a game a modding community, that community will make some of the most random shit possible, no matter how unbalanced it is.
All of this and Hammer still doesn't get to be playable. So cool though I didn't know anyone made mods for it like this. What if there was an Ed, Edd n Eddy one where Eddy goes in thinking Dracula must be loaded with jawbreakers, he recruits Double D as Yoko then Ed is Alucard with the bat transformation being a chicken or seagull. If you want to take it one step further you could make it so at the end instead of encountering Soma it's Rolf and they fight him feeling ripoffed.
Hammer might become playable in a future update for the Definitive Edition+ hack. The last overview trailer left a scene where Julius interacts with him.
This stream brought to you by: Lessons on the weight of personal bias versus suspension of disbelief. Frankly, I feel lucky that I can let myself get immersed into fairly ridiculous things without much effort. If anything, I'm kind of attracted to a clash of appearance and tone.
The excellent sprites from Cloud, Sora and Green Zelda plus others come from the game Card Saga Wars, a game infamous for both being one of the most polished fan projects ever and also starting development in 2005 and getting its first demo release in _2018._ Just mentioning it because I was there when it was announced and I'm sure 80% of the comment section were fetuses back then.
Shoutout to the madlad who modded not-gezora from the Godzilla NES Creepypasta into Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, cause damn, i couldnt make that statement up if i tried.
galacta knight was a personal favorite of mine this segment, mostly out of bias, but he still looked pretty cool. it kinda went on for a bit too long though if i do say so myself
I would have never thought this game would have custom character mods, much less just HOW MANY there are actually are and how unique they seem to be. Honestly really cool!
1:52:36 omg i wasnt expecting a Monster Sanctuary reference in this! Then again that game was advertised to me as a metroidvania, and i remember how i was disappointed it wasn't an action platformer at first. Luckily I gave it a chance and enjoyed my time with it. Basically it's a creature collector with 3vs3 combat and puzzle platforming.
Ah man, I loved Monster Sanctuary. While the story was kinda too full of unnecessary twists for me (friend's brother, Eric, Sudden occultism, etc.), and the platforming could be frustrating, I loved that for once, there was a Monster Taming game where every single one is designed to be always viable, even non-evolved monsters. Pokemon always made me feel bad for liking grass types, and no one ever uses Sunflora (I liked building my teams based off of Mystery Dungeon Explorers.) Yet Monster Sanctuary's customization and talent trees meant I could use only my favorites all the way until I got to the absurd final boss (Three turns of all-targeting elemental attacks that hit multiple times AND apply status effects.)
A chat member said they cringed with the crossover dialogue but I find it very neat, I hate when I play with a different character and the NPCs never acknowledge it, plus, I appreciate the extra effort
A Family Guy Dawn of Sorrow mod would go pretty crazy, just saying. You could have Peter over Julius, Lois over Yoko, Brian over Alucard, and then I guess Chris over Hammer if you're making him playable. Stewie could be evil Soma, Quagmire could be Paranoia, the Giant Chicken could be Malphas, Meg could be Balore, Pewterschmidt could be Dario or Dmitri. I'm clearly cooking with this idea
As someone that has grown up with these characters, I can say I personally like the Sonic cast, their stories and the lore. But I can totally understand and relate to Vinny when he says he can't take these "little fellas seriously". Was watching the third movie and enjoying it, but at occasions I would look at Shadow and only see him as a grumpy cat that sounded like Keanu Reeves, despite all the crazy stuff that was happening on screen Like on his own I think Sonic is a great character, his personality and themes tying him to the wind are ideas that reflect his actions and desire to live freely (ideas that remain consistent throughout the games). But at the same time I can't undestand people that spend all their time online fixating over it, like talk about the characters but don't make it your only thing online. Edit: Didn't mean for this to be so wordy, just something I've had on my mind for a while.
To be fair it is kinda hard to take plot points like “The government did a coverup that killed a child” seriously when it’s put right next to a 3 ft tall hedgehog with Mickey Mouse gloves and rocket shoes. Personally I think the goofy contrast has some charm to it.
I never grew up with Sonic. For the longest time, I couldn't take the Sonic cast seriously, neither. I enjoyed laughing at them in the games and in some of the cartoons. I even decided to check out the Archie Sonic comics, as I thought it would give me something further to laugh at because I've heard about some of the crazy stuff that made it into the comics. And while it did make me laugh, something happened. I gradually started to find myself caring more and more about the various characters, and some arcs in the comics actually got me to take the cast seriously at times. Now, years later, I'm invested in these goof balls. They still make me laugh from time to time, but I can actually take them seriously now.
@arandomyoutubecommenter728 There's a certian balance to it on how to handled it, like how do you take these serious ideas and juxtapose it to cartoon amimals. I personally think SA2 handled it's tone well, not going to far in either direction. But I'm honestly speaking as someone that grew up with this game and is used to it. Though replaying it again, while I can still enjoy it, I can't help but laugh When Eggman is in a room talking about world domination next to 2 three foot creatures.
@@blobbem It's the Speed Racer effect, on the outside you see the goofy animations and funny voice acting. But when you dive into it you start growing attached to the characters and their stories. Haven't delved to deep into the Archie comics, but have seen some issues I could find and thought "man this is really cool" (the Super Scourge fight, moments with Sonic's roboticized parents and uncle and a few stories from SonicUniverse).
@vohloo9797 The comics got me good, man. The early issues of the Archie comics were very... quaint. Nothing terribly exciting and felt very kid-orientated. And then you get the wacky Ken Penders stuff for a while, which is downright stupid and hilarious to read. But yeah, later on, some of the arcs get real fun. Dare I say, even cool. Scourge shot up to one of my favourite Sonic characters ever because of what he goes through in the Archie comics. He's a dork if you explain him to anyone, but dammit, I can't help but like him.
Chat member. That (1:16:30) is an absolute +2. I know I'm pretty simple when it comes to jokes and stuff, but that absolutely killed me lol I had to stop everything I was doing for a bit
i recently got into the sprite ripping scene and I can recognize where a bunch of these sprites come from lol MUGEN sprites are usually ripped from other games too
I know he's hesitant but I still think Deltarune would be up Vinny's alley. You can't play it "wrong" and is more like a standard RPG compared to undertale
I don't think Vinny would hate either game, but you just have to accept that he's never going to play them unless it's some insane charity goal, which is still incredibly unlikely. The fanbase has effectively shut him off from ever playing those games. Just be happy that he's even willing play content related to either of them in the first place, since that's probably the most you're going to get.
That can be said for mods of any game. People make mods because it's fun and they want to show off their technical skills by combining two games that they like.
Twitch Chat Replay ► chatreplay.stream/videos/CET6_aMEK98
Vinny played Dragon Ball, Deltarune/Undertale, Among Us, Pokémon, Sonic, _and_ Castlevania all at once?! Pro streamer.
Kingdom Heart
40:25 can't forget kingdom hearts!
And yet still no Persona.
I love the minor plotline of Yoko Belnades being forced to accompany an assortment of freaks and gradually losing her patience
I'm the dev of Among Us Arena (the fighting game fangame) and I'm 100% certain the Among Us mod showed here is using my animations, I'm DEAD ☠️
Truely the best thing I've somehow enabled to happen
Im in the sprite ripping/modding scene too and I gotta tell you, we LOVE YOU GUYS, anyone who makes custom fangame sprites honestly
I was gonna say those animations looked familiar. Kinda funny with the sheer amount of sprites from fan fighting game projects in these mods
It’s funny to think Oersted, the guy from Live A Live, got so bored of living such a desolate existence he just made some game mods to pass the time
I was gonna suggest using the Internet to stave off the creation of Odio, but then I realized that would probably just speed up the process
Seen these for years thanks to the Castlevania GOAT Jupiter Climb, love to see them showcased here
I love Vinny's Shadow the Hedgehog voice. It's somewhere between Keanu and Patrick Warburton (which given his later "Peter" quote someone had to have said it love)

9:25 Finally, Vincenzo played Deltarune.
....In Castlevania.
*DELTAROON*
Apologies for the brain melting
Meh, I already watch JupiterClimb, it's fine.
It's okay, we're already watching Vinny. Any further attempts of brain melting is redundant at this point.
I didn't expect to see a clock crew member in 2025 but here we are.
How the hell does Vinny's Donald voice sound less duck-like than his sneezes?
All of this and Hammer still doesn't get to be playable. So cool though I didn't know anyone made mods for it like this.

1:54:25 Yoko just being completely fed up at the end of the stream was peak

It took me a second to realize this wasn't a JupiterClimb video

I've heard a few songs from Tetris DS used in these mods! That game's got such an underrated soundtrack full of Nintendo remixes.
Genuinely an underappreciated gem in its own right!
what an horrible night to have a curse
The fact they modded the dialogue is extra special. Alucard looks so tired of these epic random lol characters entering his dad's castle
It's not even Dracula's Castle in DoS, Alucard's just in need of a vacation
@@grunkleg.2934Dawn of Sorrow is wierd like that, it's not even the real castle, it's just a bootleg knockoff for some reason

29:20 For impetus of character discussion. 36:37 discussion begins.
1:47:02 for the hip moves
This stream felt like a fever dream
A chat member said they cringed with the crossover dialogue but I find it very neat, I hate when I play with a different character and the NPCs never acknowledge it, plus, I appreciate the extra effort
Once again, it is hip
I've seen so many of these on JupiterClimb's channel already
I was gonna shout him out also lol

The whiplash of seeing Amogus first then out of all things fucking Regigigas next.
Rupee Clock always making good packs
That Cannonball Amogus version for the bossfight music in the first mod though, thanks i hate it
Deltarune in thumbnail, must click
More like Hu-mong us. Dude's goddamn huge.

Glad to see that the other castlevania games besides SotN are getting some love
Can't get enough duck voice. I need a little bit mo a little bit mo a little bit mo...
calling Silvier Cold Steel is criminal but fair lmao
*DB ADVANCED ADVENTURE MENTIONED!*
Konami has still yet to release Symphony of the Night, Rondo of Blood, and Harmony of Despair for modern consoles and PC. What's taking them so long?
They got Advance Sonic and Advanced Adventure Goku? Maybe I'll play a Castlevania game

Based on reaction, I assume Vinny hasn't played Monster Sanctuary. A good Metroidvania with monster taming (Pokemon) elements.
37:55 - 'Everything happening on-screen right now is canon in Sonic.'
Actually, technically that is true.
CASTLEVANIA RAAAAHHHH
1:08:13 just a personal clip for me because im crying dude 💀
If I had to pick a true FF protag, it'd probably be Cecil. Also, BOOTI PLZ PLAE FF5
Crewmate for mari0 mod pls

For the bad suck
Are these gamebanana or rom hacking mods?
oh wow Vinny knows about the Game Theory Starfox leg prosthetics too?
Mint ppdmc2
Vinny playing Castlevania!? Please play Symphony of the night if you've havent already 🙏🏻 ❤
Idk man, there always just seemed something weirdly artificial about sonic that I don't get with other silly things with lore
I also can't take kingdom hearts seriously but that's because I intrinsically cannot take a thing with any Michael mouse character seriously
It insists upon itself
The dinosussy in thumbnail

VIBBY PLS PLAY UNDERTALE PLEASE
RALSEI IS MY COMFORT CHARACTER I WILL CONSIDER THIS A BESMIRCHMENT OF MY FAMILY NAME IF YOU DONT PLAY UNDERTALE
新年快乐,美丽奇妙精彩值得超人!我永远爱你,并团结我们天堂的祝福!
Vinny hates Ashley compilation vs Vinny is mildly befuddled and aggravated with deltarune and undertale compilation
vinny ignores anime reference and annoys nerds probably on purpose compilation
I commend these people for their talents but what's the point of this? 😂
maybe because it's fun?
