In this quick video I compare two popular models of AAA Torches. The Skilhunt E3A comes in 3 types (and many colours), a Cool/Neutral/High CRI; the Olight i3E has been around for some time (again many colour options), with a cool white LED. Both models are very similar in terms of size/design/output. Which is better?

Thanks for the thorough review and all those beam shots. Questionfor you if have the space for it: between the three versions of the Skilhunt, which do you like the most/recommend? Use scenario: probably in the car to have easy little light to grab. *Maybe* on my keychain. Do you think the dropoff in power of the high CRI one is worth it for the warmer tint and more accurate color ? Thanks again.

I don't mind the drop in output, some like the extra power. Or you could go mid and pick the neutral white which is also pretty nice. I'm sort of flexible with this stuff, I do like warmer tints, but sometimes it's not much of an issue for normal use.

Cute and affordable little keychain light. I prefer the Rovyvon line up far more but you also pay for the privilege of all those bells and whistles so this is a nice and affordable alternative for those of us on a budget or for those looking for those who want or need a couple of affordable spares for emergencies.

Nothing wrong with these, many people don't want to spend RovyVon prices, or might not need the extra things they might offer. Other than a lower output in addition to the main one, they are useful. They managed to make it i3E small, but I think the beam is a bit nicer

@@MrBazReviews No arguing the price. The Rovyvons aren't cheap. But they do offer some interesting advantages if you require them specifically but it's always nice to have alternatives if all you need or if all you are looking for is a light source. It's a great time just to be a torch addict too. Lol.

@@dionst.michael1482 I was getting a bit bored with the torches recently, bar the NItecore not much variation. Perhaps I've been doing it too long, and well I have not found the perfect one either!

The High CRI looks quite warmer but also dimmer than the NW. From the video I would even had guessed 3000k. I once had a E2A which is a 14500 / AA flashlight. I bought in NW but sold it. It had quite a purple tint which I didnt liked. Skillhunt has a good built quality and on many models you can chose different LEDs and color temperature.

There is a power drop as shown, the WB readings seem pretty close to what I get on other light sources. It is warm the High CRI. I am working on the E2A video will be done soon, that has a high CRI too

You have to buy something though, I see the Olight deals - but they are not giving them away for nothing. You gotta buy that xyz product. Overall I think the Skilhut is the winner, I prefer the beam, choice of tints, fraction smaller than the Olight.
