I installed these Morimoto headlights on my 2011 4Runner Limited a bit over 3 years ago. Zero issues. Transforms the look of vehicle and the lighting at night is dramatic. Only reason I purchased was for the safety upgrade. The DRL is very helpful. I highly recommend. Also, one hour to no more than two hours to install.
This is hands-down the best video on a light install for this part of the generation that I have seen, so simple, doesn’t do anything excessive in the install, extremely comprehensive and an epic product to, I’m looking forward to installing mine!
Deleted my comment asking about it having the DRL Fuse Harness included before I noticed you guys responded. It's awesome that you responded to an old video. Definitely going to be getting these headlights from you guys.
My question is how do you replace the LEDS when they go out? For the price of these headlights, I would expect there would be a way for the home mechanic to replace the bulbs. If I cannot replace them, it is a no go for me.
Yeah I bought similar headlights for my Honda civic, and the zigzag was a complete buzz kill, I understand it’s a “safety issue” but let me tell you they may look nice but do not perform as they should, that’s unfortunate but I will not make the same mistake with these then, especially since the price is even double, looks are deceiving, and I’m glad this question was asked!
I really like the style and look of these headlights and would love to have these on my wife’s 4Runner but before I pay $1,150 are the lights replaceable? By the looks of it I cannot just pop the hood and replace a high or low beam if needed. Is the daytime running light also replaceable or would I have to purchase a new assembly or would warranty get me a new light assembly if any of the lights went out? What special tools are needed to disassemble and replace any lights if needed? Thank you!
Thank you for replying. It’s not necessarily a deal breaker. I would much prefer a quick plug and play replacement bulb set up instead of doing the whole uninstall and reinstall of the assembly. I trust that the LEDs are quality and will run for a long time but if a light fails I see it as an inconvenience waiting on the replacement assembly.
What happens when the main diode quits working? These days almost everything even high $ are built with lifespan nowhere on the list of requirements from the MfG that it makes one think twice before spending $ on anything 2-3x over factory replacement.
I love new options for the 2010-2013 4Runners.
We do too! 😍

Glad to hear you're happy with your upgrade! The added safety is definitely a huge factor when choosing new headlights.

We try to keep track of even our oldest video comments!
If you ever need a quick response though please feel free to reach out to our CS team!
Really leaning towards these but wish the DRL’s had the amber option too
Excellent video as always. I was wondering if they made a product for those, I see so many.
Yes this generation 4runner does get much love, but that is changing.

LED doesn’t fail
What causes the "Z" shaped zigzag in the top of the low beam at 5:49 in the video and is it correctable so the low beam has a straight pattern?
This is done on purpose, this is a step so the drivers on the other side of the road do not get blinded by the lights. This is not changeable.

The only replaceable part of the lights would be the turn signal. Everything else is sealed LED. Warranty would cover any sort of failures!

You won't have to worry about replacing these, they'll last for years to come and perform wonderfully!
@@HeadlightRevolution how long is years? 5? 10? more?
whats warranty? they look amazing tho!
On average with the amount of run time your headlights see….20-40 years
The DRL of my 2013 4Runner are same with amber turn signals. So what's going to happen to my old DRL if I install this?
The DRLs will still work properly!
Does this bypass the orange indicator running lights? Also is it difficult to replace bulbs on these
This is a full headlight replacement, this headlight utilizes bi-LED projectors so there are no bulbs needed.
looks awesome! few questions. Does this light have a turn signal built into it or the only signal on the bottom bumper? Is this the 2nd generation?
The turn signal would still come from the bumper.
Will Gen 2 Morimoto XB Headlights come out for 10-13 4Runner?
It's not something we've heard of. I don't think that will be happening!
Do they have taillights as well?
Sure do!

Does the stock drl light up with led drl?
It does not! Only the DRL strip.
@@HeadlightRevolution any options for the factory DLR lights?

You're covered by a 5-year warranty from Morimoto, longer than most OEM warranties 👀
