Nice driving Hans. Reminds me driving my father's 144 in a snow storm in Canada. I loved it, I had way more control than in some of today's modern cars with double the HP and fat tires! Keep the videos coming. Also I am anxious to see what you do with 142 you have in the shop!
the mass balance of the Volvo is better than the other ones, it is one of the most influencing factors on slpiiery roads, I own a 240 and I can stestify that. nice performance.
I just waiting little bit better weather and I will try again. I have also Saab 99 ems historic rally car and I will challenge Volvo's time with it. :)
Which tyre model/size are you running here? I’m a bit stuck on what to put on as winter tyres for the 145 steel wheels with the modern sizes that are available.
That is a good question. It's quite difficult to find a legal tyres for 145. On the ice I had spike tyres, real old Trelleborg / Lappi racing tyres (10/65-15) and they are on orginal 145's steel wheels. Normal winter tyres with studs I have also very old Michelin 175 R 14 and those are on old 240 steel wheels.

Nice laps. As you know, it’s not the power but the way you put it down that counts!🎉🎉😂
Thanks David! Well said. :) I think I can do still a little bit better.

I have outrunned BMWs Cossies that had twice the amount of power than my 9 series volvos. Volvo4Life
Good job!
My volvo 940s have always been faster on ice than BMW E30 or E36s old RWD Porsches
