Anyone who says not to use a pick is simply narrow minded... A real bassist knows how to play his or her bass in every way.
From what he says in the video he's using it with an Ampeg Portaflex PF350 Combo, which is totally Solid State. Any effects pedal can be used with Solid State and Tube/Valve amps, the difference in tone depends on the amp. I think using one of these into say, an All Valve SVT would be able to get some really nice tones.
This is a re-edit of the earlier version without Jordan's fluff at the end? It's a good review!
I was really hoping that this would sound better
The ace of spades!!
yeeeeeaashhh
Learn that Sabbath lick!!....Please!
What's the song at the 4 minute mark
i like trhis pedal with low drive
Where did he learn the ace of spades, cause that wasn't fuckin it bud
for just a light distortion, would it be more worth getting the big muff instead?
as much as i hate pick on bass (my main instrument is guitar, but i also play bass a lot as well) it has its own sound used for its own unique style and can sound good depending on how its used.
If you want the ts9 sound, get a blend pedal and get the regular one =/
3:50 Is Ace of Spades by Motorhead, I'm pretty sure
What kind of bass is that in the opener?
Are you using the pedal with a tube amp? Can the TS9B be used with a solid state amp? What difference in tone would you get in comparison to a tube and solid state? Thanks.
Absolutely the first thing that went through my head. Cool, unique bass and all, but how many gigging/recording Bassists are using a Gibson Les Paul Junior DC Bass as their "main instrument"? This review screamed for a Precision/Jazz/StingRay/Spector as the Bass used.
The wizard 2:50
What is that Black Sabbath lick at thirty seconds?
Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin. The first riff is The Wizard by Black Sabbath
Real bassist do whatever the fuck they want to get whatever fucking tone they want.
:27 the ace of spades, the ace of spades!
f yeeeaaahhh
@GuitarMonkey5180 hell no. The Big Muff is a Fuzz/Distortion. This tubescreamer is a mild overdrive
i looked at some asian revew(again not a good review too much talking, but the pedal sounded much better and more tube screamer like than this) i think that pedal is awesome if the guy using it knows what hes doing
@TheMedicMac
REal bass players play in any mode
Song name on 3:40 - 3:50 ?
The Wizard by Black Sabbath
Brett Lamoureux Thank you!
i wasnt happy with this pedal at all.. i use the mxr m89 bass overdrive.. better sounding
Yeah, I'm trying to find ways to use it and like it, but so far...I got nothin'.
the one at 2:40 is the wizard from black sabbath
Kinda sounded like The Wizard
@SoundWavesSurfer brianfart lol
Alta frula loco!
Please don't try to play Ace of Spades again. Please.
Yes. I do like to gamble.
look at the bass soul food, not this crap
Pain. Experiencing pain.
The effect doesn't sound appropriate at all for Led Zeppelin.
Real bass players use a variety of techniques to produce different tones and fit different settings.
This is what happens IF You send a Guitarist make a Bassist Job, Totally Bad Playing And also bad Sound.
You'd think he could play something other than old heavy metal, guess not.
well.... it sounds like shit
