I suppose that depends on how fragile the object inside is, if it is easily breakable good luck but the metal dog in the video yeah you can cut into the resin, might be difficult

What is this "pressure pot" you're talking about? I'd love to know more about that and how to keep bubbles out of the mold. Thank you for the video, beautiful stuff you're making here!
Pressure pots can be used to make air bubbles decrease in size to hide them, vacuum chambers can be used to expand the air so that it escapes the material entirely giving you a completley bubble free material. mix slowly and carefully and you should avoid most air bubble problems.
Hi. If I want to embed an object into coloured resin (using India ink) is it difficult to get the shades the same so 2 halves don’t look split ??. If so how would you recommend I do this please 🤔💕
I know this comment is 5 years old, but I’m making a custom shift knob out of an energy drink can with epoxy. Can you explain how you did yours and how it turned out?
@@Trahan.400 hello, I used a random epoxy I found at a store ( make sure it hardens hard) and i left a bolt with the correct pitch and thread and it worked and turned out okay, all depends how much time u spend to make sure the bolt is straight and the epoxy hardens all the way. hope this helps!

@@miamonroe4431 it might work, the thing with most resins is that it will shrink while setting. A resin that does shrink will not work in your case. Maybe do some research into brands of resin to see if any dont shrink at all.

It depends how you treat it, if you leave it in harsh climates and leave it out all the time then it will break, if you put it inside in bad weather and only leave it out on sunny days then it will last forever.
Hello, I was wondering if u knew how to to take something out of a epoxy casting, u see my stepdad has coin inside a thick epoxy casting n well he thinks it might be valuable n he would like to get graded, so by any chance u see read this message, can u help. Or should I just start beating it with a hammer lol thank u
Organic material can be tricky, the moisture may prevent the resin from setting properly, even if successful there is a risk that it will rot and crack the resin, general advise with organics is to partially dry first.
just careful mixing and pouring is enough to prevent air bubbles, the resin used is polyester which is better for bubbles, two part polyurethanes can gas and create air bubbles when setting.
I have a V. Tiranti art that only says de Sanctus studio on it trying to see what it is and it’s value. It’s very heavy looks like a plant holder stands like 3-4 feet tall. Any ideas

Pretty cool. What do you use to polish clear resin without scuffing it?
Just bought the clear cast resin from tiranti lol and I find a tutorial for it, perfect

if you let the first layer dry too much or completely, then pour the second layer on top, any idea if this will result in a “line” between the layers?
Nope
In glass yes

What if i want to create a resin object which is partially embedded, but partially not ? like sticking out of the resin if that makes sense
probably fill your mold halfway, let completely dry, and then put your object in place so its sticking out and fill the rest
somehow i set my desk on fire
That's normal.
Pretty sure you're doing it wrong...

What kind of resin did you use and did you have to use a pressure pot

Did you not see the label on the container in the first 20 seconds of the video? How are you even alive???
