Thank you for posting this! Billy giving out refunds to this show is incredible as if people were going to be mad about having the privilege to hear Royal singing half the songs. Nobody truer in the business
Most epic experience that will never be repeated! I can’t believe Billy and Bonfire are giving us a full refund for his absence. Lots of love Billy, you are blessed with friends and fans that will travel the earth for you!❤see you soon on the road!
@fornoobs990 how would there be a lawsuit. When you buy a ticket there is a disclaimer that tickets are nonrefundable. Axis and Ticket master suggest you buy insurance in case of events. The event still happened, and Billy was not obligated to refund, but he did it becuase he is a class act. I worked for a major venue and know the guidelines on ticket refunds, and you have no idea what you are talking about. Also, how can you sue someone for having a baby? The land and venue of that magnitude is booked 12 to 24 months in advance, and if you are familiar with how pregnancy works they had no idea they would be pregnant 18 to 24 months ago.
Its easy for me to say this but wouldnt want/need to accept this refund! Molly killed it, Billy is doing the right thing cause he is, well BMFS a "cut above the rest" as they say" and a double dose of Molly is what I could use every day of my life. Its all in how you look at it@fornoobs990

This is one of my favorite shows of all time. From Jarrod on “everything’s the same” to Molly leading an awesome Beatles set, this was a very special show. Molly stepping in for Billy is amazing. Billy would be the first to say he’d wanna see that show!
On the contrary, this set was the epic set it was because of the absence of BMFS.... You woulda not seen the stars align in this way had the festival gone as planned....
@@CorneiliusLibowitz I’ve seen Billy 20 times. This set was epic. It’s cool to me to see his band mates stand out. It’s cool to see something different and unexpected. Molly lead a headline set. Seeing her rise to the occasion is something special in of itself. Don’t tell me how I feel about my own experiences. To me is showed the impact of bluegrass billy had made despite his presence.
What a great show it was! So glad to have been there and so happy that they posted this off the sound board. Molly and Jerry and everyone stepped up and put on a great freakin show. Congrats Billy and your family forgiving a new boy and such great friends and look forward to next year! thank you god for all these great people.🥰

Thank you so, so much, watched the stream Saturday night and some of Mountain Grass, but I'm downloading all of these when I get home from work, need them for my collection!!
Lately, i've pondered about what would happen if BMFS couldn't perform, or could partially perform...aka...losing his voice, couldn't play guitar/banjo due to injury etc... What would they do? Would they cancel? Would they get guest players to sing and/or play? Or would the rest of the band step up and take the reigns? Welp, the turn of events at this festival answered all my questions, and then some....
A few things here... first we need to demand more cello in bluegrass. Such a natural fit . Second, is it amazing that Molly barely looks like she is playing the leads she does. Ok, on with life.
great video and off the charts playing and energy, i wish molly's guitar was a little higher in the mix or she used a boost pedal for her solos , what she plays is incredible
WOW epic shit happening up on that stage! All of it, and lets not forget to mention that Billy Failing, Royal M, Alex H & Jarrod W all played Mollys songs like the seasoned pros they all are. FUCK I wish i would have been there! WOW LUCKY dogs you all were😅❤

Can’t answer the second half but Billy had to leave his Renewal Festival because his wife’s water broke and he flew back to be there for the labor, then this happened in place of Billy and the legend gave refunds for the event.
