Hi Andrew, finally finished harvesting tonight, we have a claas 580, but had a john deere with a Draper header on demo, what a brilliant machine, did a great job on our Crusoe wheat, looks like the weather is good for another 4 days, so hopefully you can get alot done
Great video andrew, that combine doing a very impressive job, your need the header back for the baked beans. Rueben spoke more on this video than ever before. Only one beacon working when tom was rolling when he passed you. We havent seen Rhonda bring the harvest supper out yet!!
Great video again Andrew many thanks. I remember a Norfolk farm worker telling me this saying back in the late 80’s before I went off rolling the autumn drilled crops on Elveden estate near Thetford . Let a lazy man roll and a mad man harrow very true.
Hi Andrew Thank you for sharing your demo of the Case Combine with us. I found it very interesting and specially your input being the end user. It will be very interested to see which way you go when you purchase your next combine, specially with you being a long term New Holland user. It would be great to see you having a Class Combine on Demo and hear your opinion on it. It would be great, if you put together a spreadsheet of for’s and against of the combines, (similar to what you did with the drills) with your honest conclusion of them as a end user. Once again thank you.
Case combine very smart. Case tractor can’t weigh that amount you must have had your wallet in your pocket. Spring wheat spring barley and winter beans to finish harvest in Oxfordshire. Keep up the good work.
Fantastic intuitive video on the 9250, bet you were sorry to it leave, when it's time for change did you see enough to make you consider having a change of colour.
The header is the best on the market for sure and the combine looked well thought out and quick. The narrower tracks are definitely better for keeping the width down. Ground pressure will depend on the actual contact area so a longer track helps, obviously depending on weight. Higher end sprockets would reduce the stress in turns too I’d imagine. Overall an impressive machine 👍
Yes brilliant TEAM effort obviously superbly managed by the waffle man. Theres alot goes on behind the scenes to pull it all together. Looking forward to yield data and some results.
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard they are at the max for output with the single rotor in the current form. Talk of an extended rotor 9250 and a twin rotor on its way. Not sure we have run them since 84. Two combines certain eat up the acres and like you Andrew like a good drink at end of day. Did you not blow off combine to stop transfer of possible black grass seeds inter farm. Hope weather stays good for rest of harvest.
Impressive bit of kit that Case combine. Might the turned up for and fail of the tracks reduce the risk of planing into veg sort ground? A huge investment when you need to replace the NH. That header is very good but it is the price of a small house in some parts of the country
Great Video. Nice to see those two combines together. If possible, can you answer me some questions? We're planning to swap from 5 walker into the rotor market and vary between Case (Midrange) and New Holland (CR980/90X0) and since it will be a used pre emission Combine, there will be no demo machine. I have read that NH handles high yielding small grains better and is easier to set than Case. Many say that with the Case machine you have to have to decide between higher losses or cleaner sample, because the single Rotor wouldn't load the sieves evenly. Basically Case shines in Corn and Beans und NH shines in small grains. But the settings looked normal to me and the Sample looked clean. I've seen in the comments, that you said the Case could (almost) keep up with the NH but you have also tweaked the NH a bit. Would you say the Case does a similar Job in threshing and cleaning and in the endresult there is no big difference or is it rather like the NH is the better combine for european conditions? And going later into the night did you notice a performance difference between the two?
Brilliant update Andrew, thankyou so much for all the details on the Case combine and the macdon header. Looks like it is doing a great job! What is the advantage of using a draper header with the conveyers over a normal one?

No grain at all, just straw. We are allowed to treat crops pre harvest with glyphosate but there are various latest application timings before harvest, cereal crops it’s 7 days.
