I remember this song in the 90s and my brother told me what it was about. Yeah I guess the Internet was around but it wasn’t like an every day household thing so you couldn’t just Google something. Almost 30 years later, this is the first time I’m looking up the story of Mykel and Carli. And geez, I didn’t know about their younger sister too. Those few years they spent with Weezer, and the pride and love they must’ve felt to be friends with them and to run the fan club must’ve meant the world to them. I’m glad for them that they had that. God Bless them and may they rest in peace. Strength and love to their family
I remember hearing that this story was featured on MTV News but I think this is the first I've actually seen it. Sadly by summer 1997 it took a tragedy of this level for MTV to give Weezer a feature news segment.
