I’m an audio engineer and do podcast editing and creation there are couple of ways to fix the quality it’s a little distortion on your microphone the gain on your mic is too high, and her second mic is really high too but because her voice is smaller there’s less distortion going forward Once you turn down the gain on both mics you’ll also lose that gain hiss that you have in the background You can always make up gain in post But if you record clean tones with less gain , you won’t bake that clipping (mic distortion) in the recording
Hey. Thanks so much for the reply and feedback! My wife did some research to set us up because this was the first time we ever used 2 mics. Normally it's just one going directly to camera, but for this podcast we recorded on our sony camera but the audio went directly to laptop using OBS studio because that's the only way we could figure out how to capture 2 mics! I will relay the message but not sure she's going to know what you mean LOL But we will play with the settings next time we record this weekend. Thanks so much!

Some things I liked from this first podcast were the websites you like for shopping, learning about your day job, and hearing about where you live. I'm about your age, also married with one young kid, so I'm thinking a lot about lifestyle and cost of living. I live in LA and it's sooooo expensive.
Hey! omg love to hear that - I love the Wranchers! They need to make more colors lol. Thanks for the feedback on the first episode...appreciate it! I can only imagine how expensive it is...we're lucky to have bought our house when the housing market was good and the interest rate was pretty low. I used to crave moving back to a city but as I get older I feel like I get more country and just appreciate the quietness and nature so much more. We were outside sitting around our fire pit for hours yesterday watching football and I wouldn't have it any other way. Not sure where I'm going with this LOL Anyways, thanks for the comment and appreciate the support! Any podcast suggestions or questions you have, let us know. Thanks!

Ahhh I hear you. Yeah being in the city would definitely be easier for us in terms of content creation and being able to attend more events, but we love it up here. Yes, love that idea - we had included something like that in my Newport Vlog video but it was only a small portion of it. I will consider that the next time we go out shopping. Thank you!
